I have purchased this product's tasteless variety at Sam's Club and used it routinely 3 times daily for years now. Something has radically changed for the worse. It used to be excellent. It was absolutely tasteless and dissolved instantly. Starting mid 2025 the product started to smell like, well, and I'm trying my best to be polite yet accurate here, the unbathed lower posterior portion of the human anatomy. The minute you open the container it's very OBVIOUS and seems to line up with the products new packaging, but that may be purely a coincidence. I thought maybe it's just a bad batch so I tried three more containers, all of which I had to throw away which is a costly waste that I certainly can't afford. No it wasn't as the smell issue persisted. So I finally figured that maybe it's just my sensitive nose and taste being off. So I made up my mind to just bear with it and it actually made me sick to my stomach to drink. It's VERY disappointing to me as I had come to rely on, and trust in this product for it's very real observable benefits.

I have been using the collagen for years very happy with it, but since last year, the product quality starts going down. It has an unbearable smell, but I didn't give up, thought that was the batch issue, bought another 4 times, but 2 out of 4 times has this problem. Sadly after being years of customer, I am now going to switch to other brand.

Long time customer of vital proteins. Just posting here as the quality of the product has reduced significantly over my last few canisters. It smells bad, kinda like cows and the powder now clumps. It seems as though there has been some cost cutting.

As a long-time Vital Proteins customer, I received my latest shipment and was surprised to see their new "non-plastic" packaging, which looks like a canister of oatmeal. As much as I dislike this new packaging, which won't protect the product's shelf life, I was really SHOCKED when I opened the container. The container is less than half full of product. The collagen powder is not quite 3 inches, and the container is 6 1/2 inches. It is a blatant misrepresentation, and your customers deserve better, especially for the price point they pay for this product. I will not be purchasing Vital Proteins again—shame on whoever the decision-maker was at Vital Proteins who assumed the customers would not notice, or care. In the photos, you will see the darkened area of the brand-new container where the actual product is reflected at almost 3 inches.

i tried the Allure Collagen i was blown away i got the strawberry lemon flavour OMG sensational i used coconut water with mine and a little fresh raspberries i had on hand also a squeeze of extra lemon i whizzed mine up in the nutra bullet added ice soo yummy i look forward to it each day only been using for 5 days so can't review how its affecting skim etc yet

I have been using vital proteins collagen for almost 2 weeks now. To start with it was causing wind/gas, so I cut down from 2 scoops to 1 scoop a day. Already my hair, which had become dry frizzy & completely lifeless, is now feeling soft & bouncy & my complexion fresher. Will definitely be continuing & looking forward to further positive results

Company is trustworthy and people rely on it

Decided to try this product as it was more readily available than the product we were looking for, packaging sounded promising- single ingredient, easily dissolvable, no taste, good for joints, skin etc.
Unfortunately it does not dissolve in cold or cool liquids very well but if placed in warm or hot it becomes cloudy( visually displeasing) the smell is rank makes you want to gag. Most displeasing is that the 3 of us that decided to use it all developed gut upset mild nausea》cramps》explosive diarrhoea! We did have a break and retry but same outcome so definitely the product.

Huge scam at high price.
As my family doctor says: buying supplements is enriching the mafia of the supplement industry.

I Love Vital Proteins Chocolate Collagen Peptides! It has a rich chocolaty flavor. I add one tablespoon to my morning coffee and it gives it a delicious moca flavor.

Just bought this 3 weeks ago in the new cardboard container. Had to get a knife to cut it open. Then after only 1week from opening the container, I opened it to find some kind of bug larva moving around in it. YUK! I took a photo and will be taking it back to my place of purchase to get my $ back. I will never purchase it again!!! If they want a photo. I can send it to them.

The last container I purchased was extremely disappointing. The container was not even half full. The plastic container is large and it's misleading because it's not half full. It's very expensive for the amount of product. Some users claim to see results, however after 8 months of daily use in my coffee provided no recognizable results.

Bought this took what it said I was dizzy for 2 days then broke out in a rash all over my face wouldn't recommend

Actual meaning,' Cardboard is cheaper than our former easily openable and sturdy hard plastic container. We replaced it to save money and we know that if by some stroke of luck you are able to open it despite the undoable instructions, that it will just crinkle up into a piece of junk from which you will need to transfer the contents into one of your own containers.
But you may ask, 'Why wouldn't Vital Proteins, LLC, not be concerned about foisting this crappy container upon its customers?!
The answer is that nowhere on the container or their website, is there any way of reaching any Customer Service, no phone number, no email address, but only a screen to open up an account for purchases.
By the way, our solution has been to carefully cut off the cardboard top with a box cutter and carefully pour the contents into one of their former plastic containers that we saved. It will be reusable for years.

Love your product. HATE the new container. Had to use pliers to pry it open. Gotta do better.

Really awful taste that stayed with me all day and made me feel sick. There’s no way I’m taking more than one day so can’t say whether it works or not - tasteless??!

My first tub from Costco said serving size was 3 TBLS, which would give me 20 grams and have 70 calories.
The next tub from Costco says serving size is 4 TBLS, which ALSO is 20 grams and 70 calories.
I am not a scientist but we all know that is not possible.

Been using their C. Peptides for about a month, so it was important not to have a lapse in my new habit.
The small size tub I bought from Holland & Barrett was unlike the first large tub. It looked a lot darker in colour, and tasted nauseatingly animalic, so as to be unusable, meaning I had to stop taking it whilst sourcing more.
I thought they'd want to hear about the 'bad' batch, as it's an expensive product, so contacted them by email. The response I got was brief, and they expressed no interest in the quality control problem, merely directing me to the vendor for a refund. Obviously the law states that the buck stops with the merchant, but you'd think they'd express some concern for my disappointment, and try to help by at least promising to look in to it. I'm unsurprised to find low feedback on this page. They clearly don't care. Must be making too much profit. Think I'll try a different brand next time.
