I had been after a particular watch for some time and when one became available on WoW's website I had it held on deposit and made the journey to Whitby to try it on in person. The sales team were very helpful, the watch was exactly as described and the price was right - sale!!
However, overnight the watch presented a fault - one which neither WoW nor I could have anticipated - and I returned to the shop to discuss this: and here is where the 5 stars come in.
The watch was examined and we agreed there was a fault. There was no suitable replacement in stock (pre owned = reliance on ad hoc availability) and WoW immediately arranged a refund. Obviously we were all disappointed but WoW's professionalism eased the situation and even though I was returning the watch I was treated with courtesy.
Good service is not just about when things go well, it's about how problems are resolved and WoW acted impeccably.
I can recommend WoW as an excellent service provider; and I would be very happy to buy from them again should "the watch" come up.

Another cracking watch purchase from Alex at W of W. Immaculate condition, great communication and a quick safe delivery. Will certainly be back at some stage for another in 2025

A really enjoyable experience.
I was looking for a more dressier watch than my current one, so contacted them via phone to discuss a part exchange. Everything was explained, an estimate given subject to inspection and really straight forward process. I was throughly impressed from start to finish and will definitely be back for my next watch.

Pictures of the watch for sale were sent to the shop and a price was agreed. Immediately before asking the specifics of the deal your staff told me money would be knocked off due to a mark on the case (this mark is shown in the photo provided prior to agreeing the price)
Then inspecting the glass with a loom and telling me of further damage to which I couldn’t see. Your way of buying watches is to offer a fair price and hack it down after customers travel to the shop. As stated to you in a previous message your way of doing business (purchases in this case) is not professional

Excellent staff and 1st rate communication

I initially contacted the company by email to see if they would be interested in buying a watch that I was looking to sell.

Within a short period of time I received an answer from Alexander (not the owner) who provided me with an estimate and answered all my questions.

I sent the watch to them, which they received the following day. Alexander phoned me to say that they had received the watch and on examination, saw that the crystal was scratched and would need replacing. He gave me a reduced estimate, based on that information. Initially, I was taken aback, as I believed that a sapphire crystal was virtually impossible to scratch and had not seen it while wearing it.

Alexander, said that he would email me some high resolutions photos. And to contact him, should I have any further questions.

Lo and behold, on examination of the photos, the scratches, which had been highlighted were clear to see.

I spoke with Alexander later that day and completed the deal. Throughout he remained professional and polite. He also understood my frustration with news of the damage.

I would be more than happy to deal with the company again.

Fantastic experience here today. Staff were friendly, helpful and approachable. Not pushy in any form and made us feel very welcome and at ease. We ended up purchasing a Rolex watch and they were incredibly knowledgable, explaining every detail to us and talking us through each document. We ended the sale with a glass of Prosecco and a lager (as well as some laughs). The absolute cherry on top was when they rang us a few hours later to let us know they’d sent us signed gloves from the boxer Dave Allen- who we’d previously mentioned that we followed- as a gift, which was an extremely generous and thoughtful thing to do. 10/10 on every level and we will 100% be returning in the future

From my initial phone enquiry to completing the transaction in the shop all the staff were friendly,professional and knowledgeable.
I felt that I was offered a fair price for my trade-in watches and my new watch was available at a very competitive price.
I would recommend to anyone considering purchasing a quality prestige watch to visit WoW website.

Not my first time purchasing luxury timepieces, but it was my first time dealing with Watches of Whitby. By far, WoW have given the best service. The purchasing process was flawless and easy, a phonecall was made to me within 30 minutes to organise delivery, and I received the delivery the very next day!

Beyond this, the customer service is polite and on point. I was getting very quick responses on email, no matter how silly or small my question was.

The watch was also exactly as described and the price was great.

I have since recommended WoW to my watch friends and they have been scrolling through the website reading their next purchase.

Recently purchased the Tudor BB Monochrome 41 from Watches of Whitby. Must say they do provide an excellent service from start to finish. They sized my watch over the phone, provided insured next day delivery and the description and quality of watches are as described.
Will certainly be purchasing more from WoW in the near future.

This is a business in Whitby that sell pre owned watches. This is the fifth watch that we have purchased from them. Their descriptions of marks that can be picked up through wearing a watch are absolutely spot on. If they say that the case is 100%, then there won’t be a mark on it. It is a refreshing change to be able to trust a retailers description as being totally accurate. We would highly recommend Watches of Whitby!

I had a great experience shopping with Watches of Whitby. From start to finish they went out of their way to help me and were so friendly too. Delivery of my watch was quick and the packing and little extra touches were perfect. If you see something you like, buy with confidence.

Made the visit to the shop after looking on the site regularly for the last two years. Had my eye on one of the last no date pre-ceramic submariners and they had a beauty in stock.

What a fantastic online buying experience! Alex & Mike certainly delivered on a pre-loved watch which is flawless I might add. It arrived in beautiful packaging with a couple of little surprises! In my mind this shows the attention to detail and the high standards of the watches they sell having read the other reviews. Dealt with them via phone and email and both lovely to deal with and very knowledgable! I had 100% confidence in them which is important when you make an emotional purchase like this. Will be using again and can't recommend them enough!

Thank you very much, took my husband into Watches of Whitby as he's been wanting to go look for ages, he's been very interested in the watches they offer for a long time. He saw a watch he really liked. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, we had to take in the three kids and dog which was fine.
Tried on the watch, added a clasp, tried the adjustments, adjusted back again, all no problem. All staff super helpful. Definitely recommend. 5star, 10 out of 10. See you again.
