Our mystery box concept includes a wide range of brands, from more affordable options like Timex through to higher-end luxury watches such as Rolex and Cartier. While some customers do receive premium pieces, others may receive more accessible brands, which is part of the randomised nature of the product.

We do aim to make this clear across our website, product description, and FAQ, and we also showcase all possible brands, including Timex, in our content so customers can make an informed decision before purchasing.

That said, we understand that expectations can differ, and we appreciate your feedback. We’ll continue working to ensure our offering and messaging are as clear and transparent as possible.

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with the condition of your watch.

Our drops include a mix of watches, and the majority are pre-owned, which means signs of wear can be present. We do aim to show this transparently in our videos and across our website so customers can see the range of brands and conditions that may be received.

That said, we understand that condition is a key part of the experience, and it’s never our intention for a watch to feel overly worn or disappointing when it arrives. Your feedback is genuinely helpful, and we’ll take it into account as we continue improving future drops and how we present them.

We also appreciate you highlighting the import costs, we do also state there are import fees on the website in multiple places and in videos, we would love to remove these for international customers if that was possible.

Regarding your point about receiving a ladies-style watch, this isn’t the typical intention of our selections, so we’d like to look into that further to understand exactly what was sent in your case.

We also want to clarify that values in secondary markets can vary significantly depending on condition, demand, and platform, but we completely understand your frustration if the watch you received doesn’t feel reflective of what you paid.

Thanks for your feedback, we really don't wany anyone to be disappointed with their experiences in the Mystery Drops.

We do our best to be fully transparent before every drop goes live. All of the watches and brands included are shared across our website and social media, as well as in a full breakdown video so customers can see exactly what’s in the drop beforehand. Giving everyone very realistic expectations on what to expect from the drops:

Our boxes include a mix of watches at different values, from more affordable pieces through to higher-end models, and while not every watch will exceed the box price, this is what allows us to offer the chance of receiving higher-value watches.

We also only include watches and brands that we would personally wear, and we aim to keep improving with every drop based on feedback like yours.

Thank you for taking the time to write this, I can tell it’s coming from genuine experience, and that matters, especially as you’ve supported us across multiple drops.

You’re completely right in how you describe the model. For some people to land higher-value watches, there has to be a spread across the drop, and not every box will come out on top. That’s the reality of how it works. But where I do understand your frustration is in how that feels over time, especially if you’ve had a few in a row that haven’t landed where you expected.

We do try to be as open as possible before anyone buys. Every drop has all the brands listed on the website, and we post full breakdown videos and content across our socials showing exactly what’s in the mix, including the more affordable watches as well as the higher-end pieces.

Here’s one of the breakdown videos we shared before the drop:
Nothing in the drop is hidden, and we never try to present it as everyone receiving a luxury watch. It’s always been about the chance of landing one within a mixed drop. That said, I do hear what you’re saying about the gap between what you paid and what you received feeling too wide. Even within this model, it still has to feel fair, and if it doesn’t, that’s something we need to take seriously.
The strap point is also completely fair.

Regardless of value, you should at least be able to wear what you receive. If you’ve ended up with multiple watches that don’t even fit properly, that’s not a good experience and not something we want for anyone.

At the end of the day, we want people to enjoy this, not feel like they’ve been caught out by it. We’re always reviewing how we build these drops and feedback like this plays a big part in that.

I appreciate you sticking with us as long as you have, and also being honest about it. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to speak with you directly and see if there’s a way we can improve this situation for you.

Hey, thanks for your message. I completely understand why you would feel disappointed with this outcome.

Getting the exact same watch between you both is extremely unlucky. To give you some context, there were around 200 watches in that drop and only 10 were Casios, so the chances of you both receiving one and the same one are genuinely very low.

We are really sorry that this has been your experience. It is definitely not what we would want for anyone entering together hoping for a better spread.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your Mystery Drop, we really want everyone taking part to have a good experience, that's always our main priority. But we have to address some points you have made.

We are very clear across multiple areas, including the website, “How It Works” page, FAQ section, and product description, that more affordable brands such as Avia are part of the mix. In addition, we regularly share videos showcasing these exact watches so customers can see real examples before purchasing. Its almost impossible to miss this information thats all over our website during drop days and all over our social media platforms. And we are very clear there are watches like Avia's in the mix in our community groups with 1000s of people inside of them, which are free to join aswell.

At no point have we claimed that every watch included in a Mystery Drop will match or exceed the purchase price. The entire concept is based on a range of outcome, from entry-level pieces to significantly higher-value watches. Including higher-end or luxury items would simply not be possible if every box guaranteed equal value.

It’s also important to understand that a Mystery Drop is built around varied outcomes. If every watch matched the £119.99 purchase price, it simply wouldn’t be possible to include higher-value pieces, such as luxury watches worth up to £3,000. The model only works because it offers a range, from entry-level to premium.

We always aim to be upfront about this so customers can make an informed decision before purchasing.

Hey Benjamin, we really dont want anyone to have a bad experience with the drops, but I do need to clear a few things up.

We have never scammed anyone, every order is fulfilled, and we’re very open about how the mystery drops work. Brands like Timex have been shown many times as part of the more affordable side of the mix. In fact, there’s a video live right now (March 2nd) showing exactly this:

This video shows all brand in each category, it was posted to all platforms, on our website and inside community groups.

For the concept to work, and to include higher-end pieces that can be worth £1000–£3000+ there has to be a range of watches in each tier, including more affordable options. We explain this clearly across our website, FAQs, “How It Works” page, and product descriptions.

Also just to clarify, we don’t have a “limited” category, our tiers are Tier 1 (£69) and Tier 2 (£119) and Vintage Only (£149).

Hey Justin, we dont want anyone to have a bad experience with the drops, but I do need to clarify something important here.

These videos are very clearly linked on our website aswell mate, I dont understand how it can be misleading, all this information is also clearly written out on the website, and customers tick a box before check out saying they understand all of this?

We have never once claimed that every watch is worth the amount paid for the box, in fact, we openly say the opposite in many of our videos. It would be impossible for the concept to work if every watch matched or exceeded the purchase price, which is why there has to be a mix of values within each tier, including more affordable options.

I’m not sure where you’ve seen that stated, but it isn’t something we advertise or promise. We try to be as transparent as possible about how the drops work across our content, product pages, and FAQs.

If you’re open to it, please reach out to the team directly about this, as it seems like there may be some misinformation here and we’re happy to clear things up properly.

Edit No.1: Jason before you edited this review you stated you were expecting a watch worth the amount you paid as that's apparently what we advertised. This is still incorrect information.

We are not a scam in any way, shape, or form. Every order is fulfilled, and we’re very transparent about how everything works. We show the types of watches and brands included in each category across all of our platforms, so customers can see exactly what’s possible to receive.

All watches are hand-picked, and we make multiple videos every month across different platforms showing how this is done and how the drops are prepared.

Hey, I really appreciate you sharing this.

Just to give a bit of context, we are always very transparent about what can come up in the drops. We show all the brands (including pieces like Timex, Seiko, OMAX, Accurist etc.) across our YouTube and content, and we’ve made quite a few videos explaining how the more affordable watches have to be part of the mix to make the drops viable overall. It would be impossible to offer Omega Speedmasters and many other luxury watches for £119 without including these affordable options, and I do feel like we explain this very clearly on the website, in videos, FAQ pages, our communities etc.

That said, I completely get that you were hoping for something more vintage in Tier 2 but we do show that not all watches in these drops are vintage, hence why we introduced a vintage only category, and I’m sorry it didn’t hit the mark for you this time, especially with the added import costs on your side.
