Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your experience. We’re sorry to learn we could not meet your expectations regarding price. First, bait and switch is an illegal and immoral business practice and it does not occur at webuyanycar.com. No one likes surprises, and our leadership team would love to connect with you directly to address your concerns.

Condition plays an important role in a vehicle’s resale value. Our online valuation tool has the option to include any reconditioning items during the online valuation process. I see from our notes that on 12/13/24 you submitted an online valuation and disclosed a hole in the front bumper. Now just like any other reputable buyer, we need to perform a physical appraisal of the vehicle to confirm condition prior to making a firm offer. If additional damage is discovered, we do reserve the right to modify our valuation.

We’re not looking for small dings and dents, but big-ticket items that impact the mechanical, structural, and safety features. Unlike dealerships who take your car around back and leave you in the showroom when they appraise vehicles, we invite our customers to join us so they can watch what we do and see anything we see. It’s all part of our commitment to transparency.

Unfortunately, our Branch Manager identified a variety of issues with the Chevy Impala we were previously unaware of. There was multiple dashboard lights illuminated, including the check engine light. Our Branch Manager also assessed for engine noise and the onboard diagnostic computer returned a variety of troubling codes. I have pasted those below for full transparency.

P0442 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
P0455 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)
P0496 - EVAP Flow During A Non-Purge Condition

Unfortunately, we had to take these issues into account when pricing the vehicle. Regardless, we want all our customers to have a positive experience and outcome. I have asked the Area Manager to reach out to you directly so we can tackle your concerns and restore your trust in webuyanycar.com.
