John was great! All around honest and great guy!! I would recommend him to friends!

John appeared as a friend. Amiable, warm, someone who'd you'd like to no better. Answered all my questions respectfully as well as how he seemed to respect my answers to his questions. Low key and no trace of "used car salesman" kind of antics.
Having nothing to do with John, my experience with their business model is that with just basic information you get a quote higher than expected. Then the final quote I got knocked off over 1/3 off their initial offering price. Of course this was based upon basic info about my car. Rather than us walking out he "opened the door" to further negotiation by asking what I would want to sell the car for. As I was not in the mood to "mediate" back and forth, I simply told him that "this is the price that I will not go any lower than." It was roughly half the difference between the initial high offer and the low ball. After making a call to his superiors they agreed on that price and the rest was just administrative. It does bother me a little that they "suck you in" on a high price then try to get away with murder with a low price. I can imagine that in some cases that strategy will succeed. I don't hold that against John as he is an employee. One just needs to be aware of that. Could I have gotten higher? Probably yes, but my time is worth something so I decided to simply offer them a "take it or leave it" which they took. The rest was routine and I was given a check and it cleared. All told, it took about 1:15 from when I walked in. If it was not night time it would have been less.

I’ve always traded in my cars to the dealerships because it was convenient. This was the first time I didn’t. I went online and did some research.
