David did a fantastic job with our survey. It was really well presented and easy to digest. On top of this he was more than happy for us to call him at a later date to discuss anything we didn't understand.
Couldn't recommend him enough.

Currently in the process of buying an old cottage. I wanted someone to come out and survey the place to check it's condition. David has been super, he's gave an honest and upfront assessment with sensible advice on how to proceed. Friendly and professional throughout. Easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable.

I've recently had a snagging survey completed by David of West Country Surveyors, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. David was helpful and informative through the booking process, and very kindly fitted my survey in on what should have been his day off!

On the day, David was a pleasure to deal with. He has an excellent eye for detail and is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The report David has produced is comprehensive and accompanied by plenty of photographs to illustrate the identified issues - this was turned around in less than a day, despite my survey being carried out on a weekend.

I have nothing but good things to say about the service I've received from West Country Surveyors, and will absolutely return for any future surveying I may need. Thank you David!

David came out to produce a snagging report of our new build. He explained the process thoroughly before booking, and again on arrival. We had absolute confidence within in moments of meeting David, he has a keen eye and just cracked on spending much longer than expected inspecting our property. He pointed out issues we needed to report immediately to our developer so we didn't have to wait for the report. However, David got the report to us later that day, before I'd even had time to contact the developer!
The report is comprehensive, and written in a way that I as a lay person can understand.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David to anyone, 5 stars is not enough!

We would definitely recommend David as he is very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always easy to contact. These qualities were very important to us as we were moving into an area we didn't know.
His report was very comprehensive and helped us get some work on our new home completed by the current owners before we moved in. He was also happy to deal with any follow up questions.
We have now exchanged contracts and are moving in next month.

Prior to attending the venue of our proposed purchase the surveyor explained what was included in the survey and enquired if we had any specific instructions for the visit.
He provided clear, unambiguous comments on the premises and explained the options available to us a result of his findings.
This enabled us to make an informed decision as to whether to proceed with the purchase of the property.

David is brilliant. We were about to buy a very old property and didn't really see any of the issues as were blow away by its charm. David highlighted a number of issues with the property which would have cost us a massive amount of money we just don't have spare to spend over the coming years on a property. We had a lucky escape thanks to David being very honest. He said he surveys like he is doing the job for a family member and it really does feel like that. Thanks David! We are just about to use him for another survey also.

Efficient and knowledgeable surveyor, we felt in safe hands. The report provided is written in a clear and easy to understand format, supplemented with an explanatory phone call to highlight main findings. All communication great. Would not hesitate to recommend.

David has been very communicative throughout the whole process and has been happy to answer all sorts of related queries we had. We had a Snagging Inspection carried out, which was very comprehensive and listed issues that we would never have identified ourselves. He also mentioned certain aspects that we ought to make sure our conveyancing solicitor raised/got documentation for, which was really helpful. It is reassuring to have engaged such a professional, highly qualified, friendly and approachable surveyor. David is worth every penny!

David was really professional and his communication was great and on point. Unfortunately we didn’t progress with the survey as the purchase fell through but David refunded immediately with no question. I have had two surveys carried out by this surveyor. The first raised concerns that caused me to withdraw from the purchase, despite the property appearing to be in very good condition. The second survey was equally thorough and, based on the experience of the first survey, gave me a great deal of confidence when the report raised only minor issues.
David was highly knowledgable, obviously very experienced, and the resulting feedback was very comprehensive. His verbal feedback to my enquiries on the report was also extremely valuable.
I would most definitely use him again.
