La cauzione, invece di essere semplicemente pre-autorizzata, è stata direttamente addebitata per quasi 1000€. Inaccettabile.
Impossibile mettersi in contatto con qualcuno: nessun supporto reale e risposte via email vaghe e inutili.
Se la situazione non verrà risolta immediatamente, procederò con una segnalazione alle autorità competenti, inclusa la Guardia di Finanza.

Assolutamente da evitare.

ACHTUNG - BETRUG!!
Über Billiger-Mietwagen habe ich einen Mietwagen in Spanien bei Wheego gebucht, was wohl über Car Hire Market abgerechnet wird. Vor Ort wurde mir mit einem manipulierten Kartenlesegerät vorgegaukelt, dass meine PIN nicht stimmt. Nach dreimaligem Versuch wurde die Karte gesperrt (laut Kartenleser). Dadurch war eine Zahlung der Kaution beim Vermieter nicht mehr möglich und mir wurde eine völlig überteuerte Versicherung angeboten, die über jede andere Karte bezahlt werden konnte. Da ich das abgelehnt hatte, bekam ich am Ende meinen gebuchten und im Voraus bezahlten Mietwagen nicht und bin mit dem Taxi abgefahren, das ich dann mit meiner angeblich gesperrten Kreditkarte bezahlen konnte.

Nach Rücksprache mit meinem Kreditkartenanbieter wurde mir gesagt, dass es von Wheego keinen Verbindungsaufbau gab, was auch bei falscher PIN hätte stattfinden müssen. Auch war meine Karte nicht gesperrt. Das bedeutet eindeutig, dass Wheego mit einem manipulierten Kartenleser versucht die Kunden zu betrügen und liest mit diesem Gerät auch noch Kartendaten und PIN ein. Wer weiß was die damit noch anstellen. Meine Karte habe ich gesperrt.

Als ich den Betrug bei Billiger-Mietwagen melden wollte, hat das keinen interessiert und mir wurde gesagt, dass sie hier nichts machen können. In ein paar Tagen kommt eine eMail und ich kann dann dort meine Reklamation angeben. Das klingt mir auch hier nach Abzocke der Kunden um jeden Preis. Für mich war es das letzte Mal mit Billiger-Mietwagen!

Careful from this rent a car in dusseldorf airport

Subject: Formal Complaint – Payment Taken, Service Denied (Wheego / Ryanair Booking)
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a car rental booking made through Ryanair with Wheego at Düsseldorf Airport.
The booking was paid in advance using my Visa debit card. However, upon arrival to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that I must pay an additional €34.50 per day for insurance because I did not use a credit card.
This requirement was not clearly communicated at the time of booking.
Since I refused the unexpected extra charge, the company denied me the vehicle, meaning I did not receive the service I had already paid for.
The staff member at the counter informed me that, due to Easter, I would receive a refund by Tuesday or Thursday. However, as of Friday, I was told that I would not be refunded.
This is unacceptable. I paid for a service that was never provided.
I am therefore requesting:
A full refund immediately
A written explanation of why I was denied the service
Clarification of why the refund promised by your staff was not honored
If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will proceed with:
A chargeback through my bank
A complaint to the European Consumer Centre
Public reviews and escalation on consumer protection platforms
I expect a resolution within 7 days

Stay Away from Wheego

Upon arrival at Warsaw Chopin Airport at Wheego (Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel), the problems started immediately. My liability insurance was dismissed as invalid without any clear justification, and my credit card was rejected simply because it displayed initials instead of full first names, something entirely standard in my country. I have traveled to over 60 countries and rented cars in many of them, and I have never encountered such an issue.
The service provided by Daniel W. was absolutely unacceptable: rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking basic respect, even towards an 80-year-old customer. He was unable to handle straightforward questions and made no effort whatsoever to assist. The only “solution” offered was to purchase additional insurance costing twice the price of the rental itself, which strongly suggests a profit-driven tactic rather than genuine customer service.
What makes this even more absurd is that my debit card (with the same initials and surname) was accepted for payment, but not for the deposit. This inconsistency makes no sense at all. On top of that, I was required to sign a contract on a tiny screen without being able to properly read it; the full document was only sent to me later by email. No explanation, no transparency, this is both unethical and potentially unlawful.
The car was handed over without any instructions or explanation. When we had questions about navigation and the radio, the employee had already disappeared. Another staff member tried to help but was unable to provide any useful assistance.
Avoid Wheego at all costs. This is, without question, the worst car rental experience I have ever had.

Scammed like everyone else

Like many other reviewers, I was hit by Wheego for hidden charges, in my case €50. Initially I was informed it was because I was 30 minutes late in picking up the car (there was a long queue thru immigration). When I complained to Wheego’s customer service their story had changed. Now I was being charged for an upgrade. At no point had I asked for or been offered an upgrade in car. I didn’t need one for the short journey I was travelling. So far all requests to refund the charge applied to my credit card have been refused or ignored. Wheego at first sight is cheaper than the established rental companies but their entire business model is based on luring customers in and then hitting them with hidden or unwarranted charges. They know you won’t be back again so make little pretence of trying to resolve issues. Read the reviews on here carefully then go to a proper rental company.

beware of fraud behaviours,Eventhough rental price is low, they take all money from deposit by illegally claiming cleaning and damage fees. There is no ethics and professionalism, they will make false claim and doesnt respond to emails at all for proof. keep a distance for later emotional distress.

Terrible - refused to honour insurance

Terrible! I had booked a car with WheeGo at Tirana Airport, Albania through economycarrentals.com, with insurance and a 1300 EUR excess. But, when WheeGo were ready to give me the keys at the desk, they told me I was responsible for the full value of the car - he said 20,000 or 30,000 EUR. When I showed them the voucher showing the excess, they said they had never heard of this website and it was nothing to do with them. I persevered, and tried to contact economycarrentals by phone but there was no answer.

It was 11pm, so I had to then get a hotel at the airport and rent a car at short notice from Alamo.

Neither company has since accepted any responsibility - WheeGo said "the customer was confused by the terms and conditions" and economycarrentals that "it was all verbal so there is no proof".

So, a terrible experience of poor customer service - I'd steer well clear and find a more reliable company.

Predatory Billing and Systematic Harassment—Avoid at All Costs!

I am writing this to warn any potential customers about the administrative incompetence and predatory practices of Share-Tec GmbH (Wheego). Do not let their low prices fool you; the "after-service" is a nightmare.
The Facts (Contract #1002044277):
The Error: Wheego attempted to charge me a €39.00 fee for a traffic fine management. However, my signed contract (Section XII, item 4) explicitly states a fixed fee of €32.00.Ignored Proof: I contacted them multiple times via email to pay the correct €32.00 amount.
They ignored my emails for months and refused to correct their billing mistake.Debt Collection Harassment: Instead of fixing the bill, they escalated the case to ETI experts GmbH, threatening me with legal action and inflating the "debt" to €98.58.Aggressive Tactics: I received incessant letters at my home in Ireland, threatening judicial enforcement and false claims about reporting me to credit agencies (SCHUFA) to pressure me into paying an illegal amount.The Resolution:It took a formal intervention from the European Consumer Centre (ECC) Ireland and my own threat of legal action for harassment for them to finally admit—in writing—that my contract was correct and they had to cancel the collection file.
Verdict:They are incapable of following their own legal agreements and will pursue you for a year over a few euros they aren't even owed. The stress and harassment are not worth the rental. Save yourself the trouble and book with a reputable company instead

Corrupt Company - Take no notice of the Customer Service auto-response

Why is there no option for zero stars?
I left a review on 16th March stating how Wheego's Liverpool branch manager had ripped me off for £1495, I then received a message from their Customer Service Dept asking for more details and saying they'd review my case.... That's just LIES, I have sent details and 2 e-mails requesting updates - no response.
This Company is corrupt!

ADVARSEL! tatt hele depositum

Jeg vil på det sterkeste fraråde å leie bil hos Weego. Dette firmaet bruker uakseptable metoder med mål om å tilegne seg hele kundens depositum. I mitt tilfelle har de ulovlig holdt tilbake 3100 PLN for mangler som enten ikke eksisterte, eller der reparasjonskostnaden bare er en brøkdel av dette beløpet.

Hvorfor bør du styre unna?

Leter etter feil med vilje: Ved retur pekte den ansatte umiddelbart ut tre mangler. Den første hadde vi bilde av fra utleietidspunktet – først da vi viste beviset, trakk han kravet. Dette beviser deres dårlige hensikter.

Usynlige riper: Den andre "ripen" viste seg å være vanlig skitt. Selv etter at området ble vasket og tørket, insisterte den ansatte på at han så noe. Selv om det hadde vært en mikroripe der (usynlig for det blotte øye), ville kostnaden for å fjerne den med enkel polering ("one-step") vært symbolsk, rundt 50–100 PLN, ikke flere tusen!

Steinsprut i ruten (såkalt "øye"): Firmaet krever betaling for utskifting av hele frontruten på grunn av en mikroskopisk steinsprut på passasjersiden. Skaden er mindre enn en 2-zloty mynt og befinner seg mer enn 10 cm fra kanten. Slike skader repareres med spesialharpiks på 20 minutter for ca. 150–250 PLN. Påstanden om at ruten må byttes ut er en ren løgn.

De har tatt fra oss 3100 PLN, mens den reelle reparasjonskostnaden (hvis det i det hele tatt var nødvendig) ikke ville oversteget 500 PLN. Dette er grov utnyttelse av turister. Jeg har brukt Weego i Gdansk tidligere og det var helt ok, men denne avdelingen er en helt annen og uærlig historie. Jeg advarer alle – les de negative anmeldelsene og tro på dem, for de er 100 % sanne!

Contraté este servicio de wheego, por eDrean, no aparecieron a darme las llaves, estaba fuera de la terminal, no acudio nadie, pude hacer una llamada gracias. Alós responsables de otras compañía de alquiler de vehículos, la respuesta es que llamaba demasiado tarde, total no me an devuelvo el dinero y me quedé con un viaje por marruecos que a sido un desastre

Firstly I wouldn’t even rate this company as 1 star .
I hired a car through Carjet with Wheego , I needed a small run around whilst visiting the uk .
The morning I collected the vehicle I was told that I couldn’t use a Debit card to pay for the rental and when I explained I didn’t have a credit card in my name the gentleman became agitated and said he couldn’t let me leave without a car because he’d had all sorts of problems with other people. He said he could let me have the rental but I would need to pay a £720 deposit which would be returned. I told him I had my own insurance and offered to show him , he said he didn’t need to see it .
I was showed to the vehicle which had many scratches which I took pictures of while the man was still there, I asked for the paperwork and was told it’s ok you’ve taken pictures, so I left with nothing no agreement or previous information on damage. When I got into the car it was filthy .
I returned the vehicle 11 days later with no problems, nobody was there to check the car I was told he was stuck in traffic . When I asked about my deposit I was told it would be returned in two weeks , when it failed to reappear in my bank account I rang the Wheego customer services and was told it would be retuned in 30 days , when that came and went I rang the Receptionist in Manchester who told me I had a different bungle and had agreed to pay an extra £720 for paying with my debit card (which is allowed according to their T&C) when I explained that there was no way I would of agreed to pay £895 for a weeks car hire he then offered to give me 50% off my next rental with them .
I have since contracted his Manger Sam in Liverpool who said he was shocked at this and said he would look into this matter but he has also failed to do anything about this, after he contacting me via WhatsApp he has now deleted all our messages and blocked me .
Dreadful customer service .

Betrug!!!

Bei der Übergabe wurden Fotos von den vorhandenen Mängeln gemacht. Am nächsten Tag erhielten wir das Protokoll mit einem angeblich neuen Schaden, die Kaution wurde einbehalten. Auf den Fotos ist klar zu sehen, dass der Schaden bereits davor am Auto war (Delle auf der Seite ohne Lackschaden) dieser Schaden wurde jedoch nicht als solcher bei der Übergabe angegeben und dann im Nachhinein als ein von uns neu verursachten Schaden deklariert. Unmöglich. Wir haben jetzt eine sofortige Rückzahlung der Kaution eingefordert und müssen bei nicht Einhaltung rechtliche Schritte vornehmen. Eine Meldung bei der Verbraucherzentrale werden wir auch vornehmen. Also bitte dort nicht mieten.

Evitate se potete

Compagnia con la quale ho noleggiato a Milano Malpensa diverse volte nel 2025 senza problemi, auto nuove, deposito cauzionale basso di 249 €, poi a febbraio un cambio di tendenza cauzione passata a 990 euro, catene a pagamento, il peggio è che la cauzione viene divisa in 2 tranche, una di 700 € che in effetti è la vera cauzione, mentre a seguito di un contratto scritto unicamente in inglese, addebitano un valore di 199 € con la giustificazione assurda di una tutela per eventuali multe o pedaggi non pagati ecc.
Questo valore a detta della compagnia viene trattenuto per la bellezza di 6 mesi, addebitano 30 euro per il lavaggio, che trovo assurdo, inoltre il personale scortese, arrogante completa la situazione.
DA EVITARE!!

The worst service ever

The worst service ever. Avoid

-more then 1 hour to waiting in airport amd 1 hours to sort out paperwork
-books SUV but they offered hatchback saying they it’s same size
-returned no one check and next week I called them apparently they was a scratch and should pay £530 repair cost
-my deposit after 6 weeks still on hold and no signs to get back.

Never ever rent a car from Wheego

I rented a car for 2 days in Malaga…

I rented a car for 2 days in Malaga Spain. It cost me about $130 euros. The front desk guy wanted to charge me $144 for full insurance. I said no. So he took a $900 euro deposit. This has never happened to me but ok. Then when i returned the car same guy pointed out the little dent in back inside the door which i didnt take video of (who takes a picture or video of inside the door) and also he pointed out a slight brush scratch in front of the car which could have have been puffed out easily , seriously. They turned the deposit i to down payment and will charge me for the damages and if any money is left they will return the rest.
They lie. I have not made that damage and i bet they charge customers for the same car and same damage. This company and their people are dishonest. Dont use them.
They ruined my vacation with their lies.

Mandat bez udowodnienia

Cena pijazdu dobra oraz z pijazdem wssystko byli ok. Pod wzgledem technicznym brak przeciwskazan. Ale na tym koniec plusów.

Po wynajmie zaczely sienpojawiac dodatkowe koszty ktore sa pobierane z karty pomimo ze kaucja dalej nie zostala zwrocona.
Pieniadze zostaly pobrane za mandat drogowy ( chyba fotoradar ) lecz nie zostaly pobrane z kaucji ( nie wiem a takim razie po co jest kaucja ). Kaucja ma być zwrocona po 180 dniach ( taki jest czas oczwkiwania. Nie jestem w stanie powiedziec czy wyrobia sie w terminie poniewaz minely dopiero 2 miesiac od wynajmu ).
Jak poprosilem o podeslanie mandatu za ktory mi pobrali dodatkowe pieniadze z karty w odpowiedzi otrzymalem zebym sobie sam napisal do instytucji wydajacej mandaty.
Minal juz miesiac od pobrania dodatkowych pieniedzy (99 euro) i nie sa w stanie przedstawic mi dowodow za co zostaly pobrane pieniadze.

I taka mala informacja ze nie akceptuja ubezpieczenia pojazdu wykupionego w innej firmie zewnętrznej. Musi byc wykupione ubezpieczenie u nich w firmie. Ubezpieczenia z innej firmy nie sa wogole akceptowane wiec aby otrzymac samochod musialem dokupic kolejne ubezpiecze na miejscu.

Warnung vor diesem Anbieter

Warnung vor diesem Anbieter

Ich kann nur ausdrücklich davon abraten, bei Wheego ein Fahrzeug zu mieten.

Die von mir hinterlegte Kaution 900€ wurde bis heute trotz vertraglicher Verpflichtung und mehrfacher Aufforderung nicht zurückerstattet. Die Forderung ist längst fällig, sodass sich das Unternehmen im Zahlungsverzug befindet.

Trotz gesetzter Frist ist keine Rückzahlung erfolgt. Ein solches Verhalten ist aus meiner Sicht nicht akzeptabel und wirft erhebliche Zweifel an der Zuverlässigkeit und Seriosität des Anbieters auf.

Sollte die Rückerstattung nicht umgehend erfolgen, werde ich ohne weitere Ankündigung rechtliche Schritte einleiten und zusätzliche Kosten geltend machen.

Ich empfehle daher, alternative Anbieter in Betracht zu
