Dan and his team are always really helpful and have a great selection of wine at a good price point - and he kindly delivers when he can - perfect!!

Great wine, great price and super easy to collect from the warehouse or order online. The mixed cases are excellent!

I was notified straight away by email from Dan to let me know they are waiting for the stock of my Champagne. He offered a more expensive one instead - however i was happyvto wait. Jeep me updated and got it out to me urgently. It was only a few days in the difference. Very happy customer and will use again. Of course I must add the Champagne is wonderful

I regularly visit this fantastic wine merchant at Totnes Market each week, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Their knowledge of wines is truly impressive they always take the time to offer thoughtful recommendations, and you can tell they genuinely care about what they do.

The prices are excellent, offering great value for such high-quality selections. Their Christmas range was especially outstanding, with brilliant offers that made it easy to find something special.

We’ve also requested specific wines on occasion, and without fail they’ve delivered every time—such a reliable and accommodating service.

A solid 10/10 experience every time—I’ll definitely continue coming back. Thank you so much!

The wine, the conviviality, the tasting at the Wickham Wine stall… all make it worthwhile going to Totnes market, no matter what the weather! The date for this review is the day I'm writing it — after a briefer than usual (thanks to the meter-man) visit, but the better for a delicious, white Côtes de Gascogne in my basket.

Ordered 6 bottles of wine (two different types).
I received an email from Wickhams 24 hours later detailing one of the bottles was out of stock and they recommended a cheaper alternative (no refund offered for the cheaper wine).
I declined the alternative as wanted the specific bottle I had ordered. 24 hours later a the wine was miraculously back in stock and they would be posting it early the following week.
Thursday the following week, no dispatch email received, so I contacted them. I received an apology and assurance the wine would be posted that evening.
Wine was delivered today and upon opening the box the three bottles that were out of stock were missing.
Absolute shambles.

We ordered 12 bottles of wine at an event on 3.5.25 where Wickhams were offering wine tasting. Had a electronic receipt and at that time were assured our order would be processed and delivered.

It arrived today, 2.6.25 - over 4 weeks later. At no time during that period were we contacted with any update or apology from Wickhams despite chasing ourselves several times. Just as well we didn't want the order for an event ourselves.
Will not be ordering from them again.

Great wines and swift service.Delivery free for orders over £40 which is rare but welcome!Extremely good,recyclable packaging.
A particular shout out for their Caizergues Les Bobines Languedoc Viognier white wine which is a full bodied,full flavoured Languedoc beauty.

We purchased a case of wine for an elderly relative from Wickhams Wines. Evri failed to deliver it when promised, several times. I ran Wickhams to alert them to Evri's incompetence and spoke to Tracey. Her response was that the most important thing was to get the wine there and organised a duplicate case to be delivered by Parcelforce, which arrived safely the following day. Her whole attitude reflected a real desire for customer service and turned a very disappointing experience into one that left a lasting good impression.

Great wines with quick delivery and non-pretentious on-line tastings which are the perfect mix of education and fun.

Have used for over a year. Started fine...delivery in full and timely by Parcelforce.

Then started to go astray. Delays, incomplete orders, substitutes without agreement. Should have avoided then.

Just gave a final chance. Next day delivery took 5 days...they seem to have switced to Hermes (Evri) presumably to increase their profits. 2x Bottles missing (£59) despite claiming despatched. Mendacious response to mails in which (to be fair) admitted not sending but claiming they had. Appeared inherent fault means this could happen without any checks by them thereby boosting profits
...up to customer to notice. No evidence of refund provided...naturally could 'take 10 days' despite managing to take payment instantly. Then repeated mails from purported owner which as a female I found aggressive and harassing having having told them not to contact given likely litigation.

You may want to consider avoiding. Plenty of other suppliers who may be more competitive and more customer focussed.

Great evening with Dan. Learned a great deal about tasting, climate variation in Spain, DOCs, what goes well with different wines. Terrific value to get all this - 6 mini bottles of wine which arrived in the post with information about Spanish regions. The Zoom call was excellent and in an hour and a half I learned a lot of useful information about the wines of Spain.

Wanted to send six bottles of white wine for a surprise present. Website so easy to use. Great choice. And my friends are so happy with their wine. Rest assure this company is so easy and trustworthy. You will be so happy using Wickhams, which finding a great, trustworthy company these days is hard to find.

Wickhams is the sort of wine merchant everyone would like in their home town.
A good range of wines, enthusiastic people, and an excellent program of informative and educational in-person and Zoom tastings.
In particular their Grape Series of Zoom Tastings are fantastic value for money - 6 sample size wines delivered to your home, to be tasted via an interactive (if you wish!) Zoom session.

We took part in Wickham Wines’ introduction to the wines of Devonshire from 14th July 2023-16th July 2023.

We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed and interesting weekend. It was based in the very comfortable house of Sharpham Wine in Sandridge Barton and was impeccably organised. There was a broad range of English wines to taste over the long weekend from Huxbear, Sharpham, the Langham Estate, Lyme Bay and Calancombe and tours of the Sharpham Wines vineyard at Sandridge Barton and of Calancombe's vineyard. The food, as well as the wine, was excellent and included, as well as a trip to the excellent restaurant of the Bull Inn in Totnes, a fine lunch at the Circa restaurant at Sharpham Wines.

Our hosts, Dan and Pip were knowledgeable, well-organised and full of enthusiasm and were the primary reason the weekend went so well. There were nine people on the weekend, a group of five friends and our group of four. The two groups might easily not have mixed but Dan and Pip, infectiously friendly, ensured that we were soon comfortable in one another’s company and sharing our enthusiasm for English wine and many other things.

It was quite the best series of wine tastings that I have attended and I should thoroughly recommend Wickham Wines' tours to anybody interested in wine who would like a relaxed and enjoyable long weekend led by knowledgeable and friendly experts.

Really good experience sampling the same wine, Sauvignon Blanc but produced from all over the world and even the Southern Hemisphere.
Very informative hosts who could easily answer all the questions thrown at them.
