I bought semi-custom racks from Wine Cellar Innovations for about 200 bottles for a wine cellar I built. I was very happy with the result. The racks were nicely stained and look very nice. The price was excellent and they had lots of options. They shipped promptly and were well packaged. I bought them about 2 years ago and they have held up beautifully (light use). They also followed up personally (actual human, not auto email) to make sure that I was happy with my purchase. I would absolutely purchase from this company again.

The one downside and the reason I deducted a star is that assembling the racks was a giant pain and the instructions weren't very good. The interlocking pieces fit together so tightly that at first I thought I was doing something wrong. Eventually I got them to fit by wrapping the pieces with towels and walking on the joints, which actually worked quite well. I did get the optional compressor and nail gun and I think this is absolutely mandatory. Otherwise you would have to drive hundreds of tiny nails by hand.

I have purchased from the Wine Cellar Innovations twice as I have built my wine rack system. The first time I was missing a few pieces but I was able to get them on the phone and within 48 hours I had all my pieces. They came timely, easy to install and look great. Strongly recommend. Tony

Great to work with on the design of my wine cellar. Wine Cellar Innovations was the best choice I found for also supplying a glass wall and glass door to my specifications. Good quality product, everything arrived intact when I requested and installers were very professional and accommodating. I would definitely work with them again.

I purchased a wine rack as part of a holiday gift for my spouse of 43 years this dark stained redwood wine rack looks beautiful in our home. It was easy to assemble I used a nail gun as suggested in the assembly instructions.

Purchased a 9’ section, they sent me an 8’ section (4ft PCs). If you want to be certain about your order place it online, not with a rep. Rep told me it would come pre-assembled in sections, and will stack easily, but had to wait 2 weeks unfortunately not the case. The connector pieces were not included. Got a box of overpriced kindling. Nothing lines up when you to stack these. When I went to return them, they won’t take them back... I gave it one star because the wood was dry and burned well!

The wine racks are working great! They gave us the opportunity to store even more wine than before and the ability to organize all of our wine in the same order as our inventory list. Now it is so easy to find the wine we are looking for and to get it inventoried quickly. Thank you so much for the great customer service and the attention to our order and delivery.

I ordered 2 6-column half height racks holding 120 bottles total. I am giving a 5-star review even though the racks arrived with crosspieces that were for a rack with less than 6 columns. The company was extremely helpful and prompt about replacing the crosspieces immediately without any hassles. I found the materials well-cut and the instructions for assembly really easy to follow and had both racks assembled and installed with wall mounts at the top in just a few hours with just a hammer and the nails provided.

The unfinished pine rack design is good for a cellar closet - the two I ordered hold 96 bottles (both Burgundy and standard 750ML bottles) solidly as advertised. The bottle depths in the rack vary because of structural elements so it’s not a good uniform rack for public display. It's fine in the cellar, however. Overall, good buy and assembling the kits wasn’t an issue.

Wine Cellar Innovations is a great place to get affordable wine racks. They have a myriad of styles, stains, and configurations from which to choose. They even will ship additional stain/finishes if you need it. We have purchased twice from them and, if we are in the market for additional wine racks, this is the first place I will look. Thumbs up!

Wine cellar elevations is top-of-the-line when it comes to making and installing your Customized Wine cellar. From start to finish drawing up the plans ordering the materials and installing the wine cellar was second to none if you are considering installing a custom wine cellar I would put wine cellar innovations at the very top of your list you will not be disappointed

Two racks ordered arrived as expected – no problem there. Nice quality.

I decided to put them together with screws instead of the nails provided (the nails seemed inadequate). I just used a drill to put in pilot holes and an electric driver to drive in the screws. Took a little longer but I am pleased with the results.

The top rail pieces if installed would block the use of the top row for bottles so, I didn’t use them as designed.

The brackets to attach the racks to the wall were fine but the provided screws too small (short). I used longer screws (had some from the assembly) to attach the brackets to studs and put the two racks I bought side by side. I then tied them together using one of the top rails I didn’t install. The results are a pair of nice looking and practical racks that are nice and stable.

Our story is that we searched far and wide both retail and Internet for a wine rack that would fit in this closet but to no avail until finally we discovered your fabulous company! This unique Innovation hosts all of our wine that we need access to on a regular basis for entertaining guests. Thank you so much for creating an alternative and for accommodating our needs. Your customer service, shipping and delivery, telephone agent access and product quality exceeded our expectations. I chose the redwood individual bottle racks and love it. Once you carefully review the assembly instructions, it's easy to put it together [with a brad gun]. I did not choose the lacquer finish but ended up doing it myself later - wish I had ordered it finished. One section had missing parts but a phone call had them expressed to me the next day.

I purchased the Vintner series, Rustic Pine in Midnight Black color. The quality of the racks was exactly what I expected and the assembly was really easy with the online instructional videos provided by Wine Cellar Innovations. My client was very satisfied with the final product and I thoroughly enjoyed working with the racks and Wine Cellar Innovations.

I ordered a custom wine cellar from this company. $16,000, in select hardwood - African Mahogany with a walnut stain.

Here's a brief on my experience:

Approximately 30 boxes received, unnumbered. Had to open every box only to find no detailed instructions and critical missing pieces including the brad nailer. The worst stain job i have ever seen (and i am a qualified woodworker for over 20 years), they didn't prep the wood and applied a water-based stain so the work was blotchy and made the surface extremely rough due to raised fibers. Worse, they packaged everything when the stain was still wet, no paper in between pieces so everything was stuck together. Upon separating, several pieces got damaged. Several pieces were just built incorrectly reflecting seemingly zero quality control post manufacturing and before shipping. Custom drawers cabinets - two slider rails are having a quality issue and the plywood at the back was too big.

Called them - didn't hear a word of apology. Said they were willing to "fix." Would send an installer sometime next week so he could review and then try to fix. Meanwhile i lost a whole weekend trying to install the defective stuff only to give up halfway after the issues just kept piling up. And now i have to wait for days and weeks while my bar area looks like a junkyard waiting for these guys to try and fix? And then they would fix yet again on my time? And the VP made it seem like he was doing me a favor by "paying for the installer to come out and check things out." I told then to just take the whole thing back. Nope - its custom they said so they can't take it back.

If only they would have taken care of the quality issues, and had some semblance of customer service, the product itself isn't bad. But what's the point of a good product if there are so many manufacturing defects?

Here's my advice: Think twice before you buy from this company. They say they have been in business "30 years" - maybe my order was just an anomaly - but for the number of problems i had, i doubt it. And remember this was their best series- Vintner. I shudder to think of the quality of the other series.

The variety of products available is the most distinctive positive feature of Wine Cellar Innovations. I found the perfect rack for my space and tastes. The prices are really good, shipping is quick and my rack arrived in perfect condition. Assembly would have been easier if I had a nail gun, but I managed to get it done with a nail set and some patience.

Do not, do not buy this at all. It's a worst wine rack ever. The materials are cheap, everything doesn't stay together.

I was looking for help furnishing my wine cellar and reached out to Wine Cellar Innovations. My experience couldn't have been better. Over a series of emails, I let them know what I wanted and the measurements of my cellar and they presented me with options. Ease with a personal touch couldn't have been any better. Assembly was also easy as they sent a compressor with nail gun to finish the rack assembly. I couldn't suggest any stronger to go with Wine Cellar Innovations!

We bought our first wine rack from Wine Cellar Innovations and really like it. My husband and I had no issue putting it together without a nail gun. We hope it will be the first of many we purchase!

We purchased four of the diagonal wine racks and then put them together and placed two of them on two shelves of a re-purposed bookcase. They work fantastic and look even better. Everyone who sees them comments on them and can't believe that we didn't but them that way. The quality of them was great and very easy to put together, a few screws and we were done. A fabulous addition to our Wine Library!
