Fascinating bit of technology. I started off with the lowest level of protection and have slowly cranked it up to max protection. So far everything has worked seamlessly and as advertised. The number of tracking attempts blocked is astounding. I am a vert satisfied customer.

I have been using Winston for a while now and it has greatly improved. I feel it now works as you would expect and has the option of Highly compatible for those who need a little time to figure out how it works to highly aggressive

I installed my Winston just over three weeks ago and it's been working flawlessly. It took me about 12 days to learn how to tweak the settings to make Winston more compatible to how I operate my streaming devices and computer usage and that's exactly what makes their features so helpful. Most other services are fixed and that leaves you unable to adjust their settings to your usage, Winston's basic operations are fixed, but their extended settings allows you to adjust to your personal viewing and operations profile.
I had relied on Express VPN and IPVanish for over 4 years and Winston knocked them out of the park. For what little I pay for my Winston service each month more than makes up for not only the service my VPN's were providing but also all of the other features I have gained through Winston.
In three weeks Winston has blocked over 90,000 websites per day attempting to Track me. Yes, 90,000. My VPNs at twice the cost didn't perform this well and Winston also acts as a VPN but with far more reaching advances that you can control though your personal settings.
Winston is an easy installation and as you learn more about the features Winston offers the better you can tweak their settings to fit your viewing profile.
I also would like to mention that I receive a 500 mbps service from my internet provider, when using a VPN I lost nearly 475 Mbps of that capacity, that means I was getting 12-25 Mbps from my 500 Mbps service, think of all the money being drained from my devices using a VPN and barely having the Mbps to streamline with, especially if your viewing 4k or 1080. I was having buffering issues with many of my 720 links and I have a 500 Mbps service. Massive Drain.
With Winston, I'm receiving 480 Mbps of my 500 mb service, a huge gain with little drain on my system and I have yet to have any issues with buffering.
Even prior to adjusting my Winston settings to my personal usage I was receiving 430 Mbps out of my 500 Mbps service.
Simply put. I am blown away and pleased by the results and the more I learn how to use Winston, the better I can program my settings which will equate to a far superior service.
Allow me to reiterate, just since 7:00 am 12/08/2020 to 1:11 pm Winston has already blocked 89,000 attempts to track me. No VPN service offers nor comes close to providing the protection and service that Winston does.
Many web pages I was visiting who were tracking me have been blocked by Winston, so you will have to make adjustments to many websites you might visit. just a small price to pay for my security & privacy.
I'm not tech savvy and have had to spend some time readjusting my settings to fit my viewing profile, but I promise you this, it's a simple trial by error process and one that will end up serving you well once you have programmed Winston's added settings to your needs.
I hope this helps and I can promise you this, you do not want to pass up this service. It's an incredible device & service that will protect and enhance your security and protections while streaming from your devices and working from your computers.

I originally purchased this device through Kickstarter with a lifetime membership. I really enjoy the privacy that Winston gives me, and helps restrict all of the tracking that companies are doing now of my activity.

The only downside for me, at least, is that for some websites and companies I do business with, Winston Privacy creates an issue where my address is quite different than the IP address that Winston cloaks me with. Also, the cloaking interferes with my wifes remote work with her Hospital administration, so we must disable Winston when she does that work.

But otherwise, I really enjoy it. The new app is pretty cool as well.

Got to say up to this day I am very happy with Winston privacy protecting me and computers at home and on the go. I learn to take carry it with me when I travel for is small and can fit anywhere in my bag. Again I am very happy I made this discussion to give it a try and hope to encourage people that have second doubts about this product to not think about but give it a try.

I bought into Winston Privacy when it was on Kickstarter and have had the unit and accompanying service for over a year now.

Since it installs between your ISP's modem and your router it blocks unwanted advertisements, trackers, etc. for your whole network.

It has an easy to use dashboard and if you need it, the support is excellent.

Awesome piece of hardware! Works just as advertised! Purchase this because my personnel accounts were breech !! 3 times !! This really works and has blocked over 6,000 sites from accessing my computer !!! Wow !! highly recommend. I now feel so much safer, whem I'm on the internet , knowing Winston is watching my back!! I got Winston as a recommendation from a friend. When they told me they wouldn’t be surprised if I change my internet plan, I laughed and then laughed some more.

As of this writing, they were correct I have officially downgraded my internet speed plan because my speed is significantly higher than before, which basically allows me to pay for Winston and have some extra money left over.

Setup was very easy that my tech illiterate father could install it. And best of all the ads I would see everywhere are nearly non existent anymore.

Overall, I’m extremely impressed and recommend it in my groups any chance I can get, because it’s just that amazing and more people should no about it

I purchased the WINSTON Device due to the MEGA-Solicitions I've been receiving. Since adding Winston to my network, I've been getting LESS Spam and Unsolicited emails and Text Messages!
No Issue Installing the device, which I Personally APPRECIATE!
It QUIETY does it's Job in the background!! 😁👍

UPDATE: 1 week later and I’m still THRILLED with service! I pay for 100 from spectrum and that was never the case- I am now pulling over 400 without the additional cost from Spectrum! That is how much was coming from the back door hijacking my internet! I had a few internet blips but within the week Winston monitors what I view and adjusted to allow what I need and not block. I cannot recommend this system enough! I need business cards cause I tell everyone I know YOU NEED THIS- anyone with internet service- NEEDS THIS! I see on my dashboard the hundreds of thousands who are trying to break into my home to steal my info- not anymore! I’m loving my fast Internet service now. Winston - I am forever grateful for the protection I now have in my home.

Great systems love to way it will filter out the bad things on the net before it enters the house. Also I like the way it acts as a vpn. Just wish it would act this way on large file downloads but still need an external vpn for these. But other than that I am very pleased.

We purchased the Winston device when it first came on the market and our experience has been excellent. It does exactly what they say it does and we have had no issues with updates or any other aspects of ownership. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to protect their privacy.

Had Winston for almost a year now, it does what it says on the tin, was easy to set up, and it just works brilliantly! I am in the UK with a Virgin Media broadband connection which it does not slow down at all.

Performed so well that within the same week I bought a 2nd Winston Privacy device for an additional network (separate home where Boomer parent lives).

How do I know the advertising blocks are working? A: Big, Beautiful, Blank squares where advertisements used to splash and interfere with my reading of NYTimes, WashPost, others. Apple News app went from a dizzying array of advertisements to No Ads.
This ad prevention has held steady for a month now - excellent results.
The other critical component of maintaining privacy is running unbeknownst to me as I go about my regular (now unimpeded) use of iOS and Windows10 devices. This component is mixing my data with others in the mesh network. I don't have to do anything.
Periodically, because it is cool and interesting, I peek into the provided dashboard to see summarized results of what is happening under the hood.
My work from home (WFH) setup required no change - corporate VPN client with corporate issued Windows10 laptop and all Cloud (Azure/AWS/Oracle) services continue to work flawlessly without intervention.

Overall I'm very satisfied with Winston, has no affect on internet speed. The only issue I've had is that after each version update the mesh network didn't work and needed help to reset it.

This is not my first attempt at finding a product to protect my private data, but it is the first I have been able to set up and use. It has been so easy to set up and to get it working, it makes you wonder why others require a full time systems engineer? Once working, you can learn how to deploy it deeper and protect even more. One of the rare occasions I can say the product is better than originally advertised.

My only niggle is it occasionally blocks a page from within my browser, but at least it seems to understand that if I reload it a second time, it lands the page. It does, however, work at speed and does not seem to interfere with browsing performance.

Believe me, when you see how much information is not being sent and how much faster your Internet is, you will be very happy. Also knowing that a lot of Snooping, Spying and just bandwidth used, just stops and makes a much better experience on the Web.

This whole thing was so easy to set up and it does what is required blocks people and sites that have no reason to be watching you.

Great product and really happy to have bought into it.

Winston is easy to install in your system and has an easy method to “White List” specific web sites for a specific computer if there is a need to not block something in order for it to allow communication to the site. Excellent device!
