Winston is the best. I had no idea how much data was being mined until I got winston installed. I had a few hiccups but winston customer service was right on it. I still have a few issues they are working on but otherwise it works like a charm.

Fantastic product and service. I owned something similar to Winston some time ago through a Kickstarter campaign, in short, this device blew it out of the water and the amount of data provided to the end user is amazing.

I am very happy with Winston Privacy. First, they answered my pre-purchase question via email within about 90 minutes, and actually took the time to write and address the issue specifically (not a form letter). Once I received the product, setup went very smooth and service has been great thus far. Very happy!

Hardware installation was straight forward, setup completed as shown in instructions. I had a bit of an issue validating subscription - contacted customer service and within 24 hours we resolved the issue and all was well. While I could have knocked Winston down a notch for the small hiccup at installation - based on their quick customer service engagement, I figured that would cancel out the hiccup. I have experienced ZERO slow down in data rates - I can see from the dashboard a lot of stuff is being stopped - also confirmed by the messages from various websites to turn off the blocking (NO WAY!). Not sure I fully understand the dashboard yet, nor exactly what whitelisting means (as I had to do so to access some sites I use regularly) but that is just a matter of time before I grasp more of the nuances of the dashboard, etc. Great product!

When you realize your data was being pulled out from under you and everyone was coming knocking on your doorstep to stop you from being online. Then you buy into Winston privacy and no one comes knocking at your door anymore! Winston has saved me, I no longer get those random people anymore... And I know those random backdoor hackers are gone forever all because I invited a good friend name Winston into my life! I want to thank Winston for protecting all of my devices and my safety, security on the world wide web while also speeding my Internet access up! Thank you so much... I honestly don’t know how anyone could rate this company and/or product below a Five Star review... The family and I were skeptical at first but once we received our Winston, got it installed (within minutes) and clicked through the super easy to use dashboard. We could tell as quick as that same night we installed it. The suggested ads on Facebook, YouTube and any other app you can think of, came to a screeching halt. I’ve seen some reviews regarding internet speed slowdown or certain programs not working correctly. I haven’t experienced this. I found almost all of these concerns can be handled right in your own personal dashboard. Blocking or unblocking IP addresses via the live view or turning on and off specific modules. If you can’t resolve it using the dashboard or you’re maybe running into a bigger issue. The Winston customer service team must not have a personal life because they’re almost always available. Even before I purchased the product I had questions and concerns and they were always online and ready to reach out to a second level support if they couldn’t answer my question promptly!

Hey, I recently heard about winston, and it's ability to allow it's users the functionality to be able to view and control the trackers that were coming across the internet connection coming into my home.

I have used VPNs in the past because of similar concerns, but these were often unreliable, and frustrating to use.

I have had my winston for over a week, and so far I can say it has been an eye opening experience. It comes with a robust dashboard allowing you to see everything connecting to your network, and allows you to block, cloak or whitelist each of the connections. It also comes with pre configured filters to select from.

So far, I really am impressed.

I didn’t think it was possible and I have 3 different VPNs and I thought the only way to block the outside was thru a VPN but I still witnessed attacks coming thru- figured why not give something different a try. This is not another VPN it’s better! Took me 3 mins to set up only because the long walk from my router to my office - otherwise really 30 seconds- plug in and watch the back door traffic cease and my internet speed fly!
I figured this was going back cause I was given 30 days to ‘ try it out’ - well not a chance! No more pop ups- I dial in what I want to come in and block all the other nonsense trying to disrupt my life and steal my info! They show this happening in real time. My internet speed that I always paid for and never received- it’s happening! Oh I see them trying to ping me, probably to continue to throttle me but not now- they are truly blocked.
I took a chance and you should too- I don’t regret this purchase. This is only day 2 and I’m mad I didn’t buy this sooner. Can’t wait to see what else they bring to the table cause I know I’m on board!

Winston Privacy changed the way I view internet privacy. My mom referred them to me to check out, so I did. I was skeptical at first, but once I decided to take the leap of faith and try them out for myself, I became a firm believer.
First of all, setup was extremely fast and easy. You don't any technical background to get yourself up and going with Winston. The instructions are very easy to understand.
Second, the amount of features that are provided is mind-blowing. There are too many for me to even begin listing or talk about. The customization and control of your security & privacy is one of my favorite features. They put the control in your hands, not anyone else's.
Third, the customer support is something to be rivaled. Speedy, friendly and efficient. I have had nothing but the best experience with Winston Privacy's support team.
I will definitely remain a loyal customer and refer them to family and friends.
I could go on and on about how amazing they are and have been, but people need to experience it for themselves.
I hope this review encourages people to take the same leap I took. You won't be disappointed.

Skeptical to start with...but after getting multiple emails from my ISP about usage overages I decided to give it a go. Setup was a snap, followed the default installation and as I've become more comfortable and familiar with the device and capabilities I've been adding features. I use a corporate VPN for 9+hours a day and with few exceptions (adding one-off domains) Winston has worked extremely well.

I've been looking for an internet privacy solution for a while now and stumbled upon Winston and decided to give their system a try. The price for the unit itself and their monthly service is very reasonable when compared to other incomplete solutions that are currently in the market. The unit was very easy to install and I was surfing on their privacy mesh network in minutes.

A few weeks into using Winston I came across an issue with Wix.com loading properly and when building websites within the Wix editor, the site kept timing out. I reached out to Winston's customer service and they were extremely helpful. They took the time to understand the issue I was having and helped troubleshoot everything until the website was working seamlessly again. So not only is this product amazing, they have incredible customer service who is quick to respond to any issue(s) you come across.

Winston customer service is top notch! Dan quickly resolved a issue I had with my first device! He quickly had a replacement sent out and resolved having things switch over to the new device! Highly recommend!!!

I saw a few ads for Winston Privacy and decided to give it a try. I purchased the hardware (came with a few months trial) and a year subscription. I connected everything but ran into a technical issue. Everything worked but was not connected to the mesh network (IP not hidden). Contacted tech support. They emailed me back pretty quick and I was able to get it figured out. I found out that Winston changed their deal and was giving the hardware for free. Without me asking for it, they refunded me the cost of the hardware. You don't see customer service like that very often.

When I began using Winston, I had to whitelist a few things but it really is working great. I can see the other Winston systems that I am connected to. It really is hiding my IP address and IP geolocations shows that I am somewhere else. I like seeing the live view and how much it really is blocking. Until I got Winston I had no clue that Amazon was collecting information every other second and Google every 10 seconds. I can tell that it is blocking several ads. Web pages do load quicker due to not showing the extra ads. I am happy with Winston and recommend it.

I have been using Winston for the past 6 months. Winston is great and easy to use. Winston offers great privacy and protection. I encourage everyone to check out Winston Privacy!

Worked at first, then started to freeze internet access. Took awhile to identify not my modem, not my router, or my newish MESH network
Unhooked it for 2-3 weeks, no problem. Reinstall, and within 2-3 days, internet access freezes until WINSTON is rebooted. Can't have this happen in middle of Zoom meetings, etc. Tried support, sent them my diagnostics file twice, did not hear back. Finally went to cancel my subscription so I won't get charged again, and crashing internet is one of the choices for canceling. !? Guess that's $200 down the toilet. Nice concept, didn't work for me. Count me educated..

See below for response from WinstonPrivacy, but it's not fully accurate. I sent diagnostics files twice, and asked for an update based on that information, and when I did not receive a response, I gave up. Too much hassle, not worth it.

Second update, I did contact WinstonPrivacy at the email below, but as of now (4 days later), no response. They've closed all my tickets. FYI

Last update, my email above was found in spam. I was contacted, offered a free year of service, or my $99 subscription fee refunded. I took the refund. Case closed. FYI.

It made a huge difference, no more annoying ads, my internet browsing is way faster, the parental settings works and my internet connection speed is not slowed down (like with other boxes), so far im really impressed with this little box.
Plus the installation is a breeze just plug and play!

I purchased two during the crowd funding period. One for my cottage and the other for my home. At first I had a few issues, which is to be expected for a new product. Customer support is excellent and everything is running smoothly.

Winston does exactly what it says it does—filters out trackers and protects your privacy. Using the dashboard, I’ve been able to track my network usage in real-time and monitor what is causing high traffic, all while seeing the results of the tracking filters. I can’t recommend it highly enough to anyone who is concerned about their online privacy, but doesn’t have the technical knowledge to tweak their routers etc. to achieve the same results.

I am a Network Engineer and take Privacy very serious. So it is nice there are companies like Winston that take it just as serious. Although everything done through Devices and Networks are tracked and logged. It is nice to reduce the trackers and ads as much as possible to provide a steam lined experience. So to bring an almost Brave like experience to all my devices and not just the browser is what makes this device incredible. I received my Winston Privacy device a few weeks ago. Install was extremely easy and straight forward, you do not need technical skills to implement. The out of box experience with applying the modules that fit my needs has created very minimal things that I have had to white list manually. Using the Chrome Plugin helps to manage the device experience. So far I have been extremely please and am looking forward to the new features coming out soon.

Winston holds the potential for peaceful revolution. We don’t want to be tracked, sold, and traded as Effing consumer data sets. In that, Corporations have me and you by the balls, and our own government reps are too old and self-consumed to stop them.
As long as Winston doesn’t confuse themselves with these surveillance tyrants, they’ve given us back the freedom of the internet - and I’ll pay for that at its current cost. I love it for that.
It’s sort of the Francis McMonkey McBean solution, but it’s the best thing in the market. They’re reps give a s**t, they want to help, and we should be willing to pay to keep them in business.

Btw, I don’t want a Effing Trust Pilot account, but they’re forcing me to sign up - and as much as I hate that kind of s**t, I’ll put up with it to recommend Winston.
