After having lost several tiles off my roof, and receiving 2 previous quotes and one company who didn't bother turn up at all, I rang Wizard. Guy I spoke to on phone were very polite & helpful.
David came & quoted me a very reasonable price, and the work were carried out very efficiently within a satisfactory time frame. The lads were friendly & professional and explained in easy, no jargon terms, what they were doing. They were extremely respectful towards myself & property and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend Wizardrestoration ltd, they saved me alot of stress & money. Thank you to David and his team.

We had our roof done by them in the summer and a few months after, when winter hit, mortar started coming off nearly hitting people. I contacted them many times over several months, they let us down time and time again, and eventually they came out - but only after I sent a legal letter before action. First they said they would not repair it as it was due to the cold weather. They then tried to say someone had deliberately gone up on the roof and pulled off bits of mortar on purpose! All our emails were friendly and were trying to sort it out amicably. However in the end I blocked them after increasingly aggressive messages denying they were at fault, accusing the tenants. It was causing us so much stress we decided to just take the hit and arranged for another contractor via checkatrade to come out and do the work which is now complete. They sent me pictures of the roof and confirmed the work had not been done anywhere near properly by this company. Lesson learned - always go through checkatrade.

Edited May 2023: I have received a notification that this company are trying to flag this review, presumably to try and get rid of it. I can assure anyone reading this that this (unfortunately for us) is a legitimate review and their actions just continue to show what rogue traders they are.

Edited June 2023: This company now accepts this is a genuine review but now continues the frankly ludicrous allegation that the tenants/friends deliberately went up on the roof and pulled off mortar themselves?! The company that we had to get to fix the roof - and I can 100% assure anyone reading this that they are completely unrelated to the tenants - again, another ludicrous allegation - confirmed that the previous work was shoddy and in fact dangerous. I used totally independent contractors through checkatrade to fix it- TrustPilot are very welcome to contact me to confirm. In fact in the email “evidence” to Wizard I specifically stated we were getting "independent" contractors in. It was our tenants’ friend who is a roofer who told them the mortar was incorrect. Of course the mortar used was incorrect - it was quite literally falling off the roof.

We trusted Wizard, a new company who we used in good faith and had an absolutely terrible experience with, to the point we were out of pocket literally thousands of pounds and we are now getting update after update on this review with increasingly nasty edits from them. I would urge anyone reading this to properly consider the negative reviews here, and the now constant replies of this company accusing genuine people, including us, of all sorts.

Long story short, they left my parents with an unfinished and shoddy job - work is no where near up to scratch and already needs redoing only months down the line. Attempts to get him back out were a waste of time and energy. Not only that, but they left their old (and quite frankly dangerous) scaffolding up which we had to pay someone to come and take down. Avoid at all costs!

UPDATE 2021: The bad weather we've had recently has now blown the dry verge caps off along with the useless thin strip of rotten wood they were barely tacked on to.

MAY 2023: Like others have recently reported, this company have started falsely flagging all legitimate negative reviews in an attempt to get them removed, and have unfortunately been successful in doing so in some cases. This obviously just goes to show what kind of people they are and also makes me question how many of their positive reviews are actually real. Do not trust them!

JUNE 2023: It appears they've now deleted their previous generic responses to everyone whose negative reviews they haven't been successful in getting removed and have instead attempted to write more personalised excuses. However, they've either got myself/the job confused with someone else who they ripped off, or they've set out to just make up yet more lies! Nothing about their message relates to the job nor situation they left my parents in - they had no previous contractors, they paid for work that was never completed, they were left with old rusty scaffolding surrounding their house, they received nothing in writing or any other form of communication, hence "took the money and ran".

- So they've now gone from claiming any negative reviews as being fake, to all of a sudden remembering every single detail of each job (albeit untrue details). Let that speak for itself! Maybe me reminding them about the dangerous scaffolding they dumped on my mother sparked their memory, although they've still yet to actually acknowledge it in any of their replies. As for the window company, they're referring to the one they originally recommended to us and then left them to deal with all the mess they left behind after they scarpered. We had no issues with the work the window company carried out, and we've since learned that they ceased doing business with Wizard for obvious reasons. Once again, their recent response has only proven that they continue to lie and pass the blame on to others. They also forgot to mention that the time they spent on the job was spread out over the course of many months, months in which I had visited my parent's home numerous times with no sign of them being there and little to no progress having been made on the house itself.

- The only person changing their story is this company. They continuously delete their previous messages, making any replies reviewers leave look strange without context. The fact they're now accusing me of having "mental health issues" is downright disrespectful not only to myself, but to people who do genuinely have such conditions.

- Once again, they removed the part where they said we'd had PREVIOUS contractors, making my truthful claims appear inconsistent. The window company carried out work AFTER Wizard did their disappearing act.

P.S Still no mention of the scaffolding. Guilty as charged!

Just had a complete roof restoration. The service from these lads as been abaslote amazing they have worked in bad wheather to get the job completed on time and at brilliant price I would recommend them if you are thinking about having work done

Had my fascias and guttering replaced on my extension, then once the nice weather came along realised I couldn’t open my window due to the overhang of one of the new fascia boards. I also had damp work done and although the damp work was carried out okay, the plastering was something to be desired. To the point in which it needs to be done again! I didn’t find the team particularly helpful once they’d been paid either. I also had a reoccurring issue of the drain flooding outside my house. The council finally came to investigate and it was full of plaster. Coincidence? I think not. Will never use again!

Update 2023:
So they’re commenting on every negative review advising they’re fake. I can assure you. I wish it was fake that I parted with all that money for you to do an awful job and have to have it redone a matter of months later. I also wish it was fake when you didn’t finish the skirting correctly after plastering and just posted it one day and told me to sort it myself. Before insisting everyone’s reviews are fake, please take time to sort out your work and maybe you wouldn’t receive these negative reviews.

June 2023:
He was a subcontractor of yourself, so you should have a degree of responsibility. I didn’t want you to work on the property again. Especially when I could fit my hand down the back of the skirting you fitted. You then advised to ‘just caulk the gaps’… it all had to be rectified by another company before getting rid of the property. Just unprofessional.

June 23:
I had nothing to do with subcontractors. Nor was a contract signed between me and them. You arranged all this work and I paid you directly. Not them. So you have some responsibility for their work, as this clearly reflects on you.

Did a great job and were very friendly and professional

After discovering a recurring problem with damp and mould I contacted wizard restorations and the following day Dave came to give me a quote and some very good advice. The work was completed the following day with everything explained to me step by step. Dave was very polite and professional and even arranged to come in a weeks time to check for any other damp and apply more treatment to the mould at no further cost.
I would highly recommend wizard restorations to anyone needing a fast and reliable response as the job was well done in a timely manner.I’m happy with the service provided.

My moss encrusted leaky tiled roof was cleaned, ridge tiles rebedded, damaged tiles replaced and the whole roof given a covering of anthracite grey paint.
The team worked diligently, always turned up when when they said and cleaned up and kept the site tidy.
The extemely wet weather in Feb 2020 caused them a headache by having to stand down multiple times. But as soon as the forcast came good they were back to continue.
Most pleased with the end result.

The roof job is done in the best way I imagine. The scaffolding is not removed before they make sure there is no more issues when it is raining.

Brilliant experience I’ve had with Wizard restorations, the whole process had been fantastic. The office advisors helped me a great deal with all my questions and initial worries. Everything they said happened, when the gentleman arrived they explained everything they were doing to the property and allowed me to see stage by stage.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have a home improvement.

Had my Roof Coated in grey by Wizard restorations, I am very happy with the end result. Fantastic service from start to finish. Would highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t want a full roof replacement but needs work doing to the roof. Perfect solution and affordable.
