Check-in online faulty when you have a hyphen in your name!!

I attempted to check-in online. It would not allow me to despite the details being correct ! (Screenshots can be added). When I arrived at the airport, the lady by the queues didn't know what was wrong after confirming details were in fact correct. When I finally got to the service desk the lady suggested I take the hyphen out of my name. I did. And it worked. My name contains a hyphen, WHY would I think I need to take it out?
By this time, the online check-in was closed. The lady asked me to speak to customer service to override it. I called. The guy at customer service could not even find my booking because the number on the booking was autogenerated by skyscanner and I had no knowledge of it. He assured me if I paid I could claim it back upon my return. I submitted a form on my return and received a reply with the typical terms clauses, rejecting my claim, like they even apply in this situation! It was WIZZAIR'S APP that would NOT ALLOW me to check-in!! Why am I being charged £88 for a fault with YOUR APP.

Ho contattato il call center circa alle ore 10.00 per un problema relativo al mio volo e l'esperienza Ú stata surreale. L'operatrice donna con cui ho parlato Ú stata estremamente sbrigativa e scortese. Invece di fornire supporto, si Ú permessa di rispondermi con arroganza, arrivando a dire che non ero in grado di comprendere ciò che diceva . Un atteggiamento del genere Ú inaccettabile per un servizio di assistenza. Se questo Ú il modo in cui trattate i passeggeri, cambierò sicuramente compagnia.

Wizz who??

Well it started with the flight itinerary always being pushed back,started at 8.00am departure to 18.30. This meant I missed a whole day at my destination, check in was a joke. Passwords, emails etc. When I finally boarded the aircraft I found the staff rude and not interested in my issues, all they seem to worry about is how many duty frees they can sell. We're not even asked or given a bottle of water to hydrate during a almost 5 hour flight, not happy at all. If I was offered a free flight with this airline I would say no, never again. Wizzair you suck, you should hold your head down in shame. You got the cheek to call yourself an airline? Even the landing was questionable, to conclude no wander your a budget airline. Gives you the excuse to rip off people who instead of going for big boys give the little guy a chance and regrets it, never again. And I'm gonna tell all my friends don't fly with these clowns, wizzair your a disgrace to the aviation business. I saw single mothers almost in tears, call yourself an airline. Shocking,

I was forced to pay €70 at the gate for a cabin bag, while other passengers with similar bags were allowed through without charge. The rule itself is not the problem-the inconsistent application is.

At the gate, I was told to pay immediately or miss my flight. There was no proper explanation, no reasonable alternative, and the interaction felt rushed and pressuring. My boarding pass and ID were checked repeatedly by two agents, and when I asked for their names or badge details for a complaint, they refused.

This kind of experience damages trust. If Wizz Air wants to enforce strict baggage policies, it should do so consistently and with basic professionalism.

I will avoid flying with them in the future

NEVER BOOK WITH THIS AIRLINE - SCAM - YOU WILL NEVER GET A REFUND!

I booked my flight for this summer for me and my family and Wizz air changed the time and date twice! I spoke to them on the phone a few times and on the online chat and they assured me that I would get a refund INSTEAD they gave me credits back €1000 that i can only spend on wizz air site by April 2027! When I speak to customer service they assured me that as wizz air changed the date of the flight then I am eligible for a credit card refund BUT that is never the case this has been going on for months. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - COMPLETE SCAM!

Avoid unless you want to fight for a refund!

We booked to go to Cyprus in Oct ‘25 and the flights were with Wizz, we booked extra leg room outbound and inbound, before our return I checked in to see that our seats had been moved to normal seats, I complained, the response was they wanted every detail about the flight all our passport details flight number just about everything except what we had to eat that day, I’m sure the booking ref and name would suffice! they asked all this again which I was not going to provide especially they had already agreed the refund - it’s almost they are hoping people couldn’t be bothered with the hassle - not me, principles come into action! Anyway the short of it - 20 odd emails and 7 months later I got it my £82 back, AVOID unless you want to have a drawn out fight for a refund! AVOID!

Atraso de 5 horas, voucher de 5 euros, uma vergonha pois não se come nada com 5 euros em aeroporto, perdi minha conexão e eles cagaram! Simplesmente dizem sentir muito mas nada podem fazer para reacomodar em outro voo pois são empresa low cost!

Refund from wiz air


Booked a touring holiday through Exoticca using wiz air. Holiday to Jordan cancelled due to Iran war. Paid back costs by exoticca but had to check in on line and pay baggage and seat costs direct with wiz air. Unfortunately it seems impossible to get this money, over £200 back. Don't reply to emails phone impossible. Even recorded delivery post encl boarding passes everything they still don't respond. Trading standards next step. Never use again

Wizzair non paga la valigia danneggiata! VERGOGNA!

Dopo il volo da Tirana a Bologna, ho ritirato la mia valigia danneggiata.
Come da regolamento mi sono presentato all'ufficio bagagli. Ho eseguito tutta la procedura, ho inviato il modulo compilato e le foto tramite l'app della compagnia.
Niente da fare.
A febbraio mi hanno inviato una email incomprensibile in inglese, senza nessuna indicazione di rimborso.
Sono passati 3 mesi ho provato a inviare diverse mail e reclami telefonici.
Questa compagnia non paga la valigia danneggiata!

Avoid at all costs!!

They sold me a fast-track service on their website which did not work at the airport. I was told that I should have received a qr code which I didn't so I couldn't get through. After speaking to the airline rep at the airport, they told me that this is frequent and I need to contact customer service for a refund but to get through on the day I had to purchase a fast-track service at the airport which was more expensive.
It is not about the money but the principle... Why sell a product on a website that does not work at an airport... Never using this airline again,,,

Compagnie aérienne trÚs lente. L’embarquement et long à cause de leur politique de baggage. Leur politique sur les bagages et trÚs stricte. Sur la taille, sur le type et sur le nombre. Par exemple, si vous avez une sac à dos et une petite banane (sac sur le torse) la compagnie considÚre le sac banane comme un sac à placer sous le siÚge donc vous impose de payer un supplément. Je ne recommande pas.

Cobro indebido y malos tratos irónico y burlesco

Me trataron pésimo porque me estaban cobrando una maleta que ya había pagado de cabina y ellos me cobraron de bodega en último momento lo cual yo reclamé y ellos me trataron de forma deplorable.
Los trabajadores son irónicos, burlesco no saben tratar con los clientes. Yo me sentí insultada con su trato y no lo permití. Cuando me cobraron la maleta extra, Yo les dije “no les voy a regalar mi dinero” y me fui porque con el mismo dinero que me estaban cobrando yo me compré otro pasaje. Es una aerolínea asquerosa desde el trato al cliente y unos sinvergÃŒenzas porque cobran lo que quieren cuando quieren amenazándote con quien no vas a subir si no lo haces.
NO SE ARRIESGUEN.

Devastated

Money grabbing and cheating. Save yourself and your sanity. Words cannot describe what is the experience of traveling with Wizz Air. After purchasing a special cabin bag that is size 20, 30, 40 I was told that i must fit the bag in the provided by the airline metal measuring stand sideways!!! The member of staff insisted i have to fit the bag with the long way in. I tried to reason that it should NOT matter how its fitted and what way it goes in, if the size is exactly as required 20, 30 ,40.
Needless to say I lost that battle and paid 60 euro. But it doesn't stop there. I was travelling back from my mother's funeral. When I received my bag the front pocket zipper was opened and torn. Photographs from my childhood an irreplaceable memories were missing. I am devastated!!! The second zip was open and my medication fallen out and missing! The third zip was opened and my black cashmere sweater missing. My bag was covered in mud and dirty. I immediately went to look for the desk which is not easy to find and told to take a picture of the bag and send over to an email. Who knows what will follow. I am devastated. Absolutely devastated.

Servizio clienti maleducato e arrogante

Ho fatto un errore in fase di acquisto biglietto sui bagagli e mi sono accorto prima della partenza. Ho provato a modificare il biglietto ma senza successo: il contact center mi dice (in maniera molto maleducata e arrogante), che nelle loro condizioni commerciali Ú+ previsto che se il cliente fa un errore Ú un suo problema...a loro non interessa.
Complimenti! Cercherò di non volare mai più con questa compagnia.

This is the worst AV company in the world, I paid €50 for a check because their app didn't work and then they wouldn't let me on the plane 17 minutes before departure and I watched my plane stand and then it flew away. Wizz Air unilaterally rescheduled my


Wizz Air unilaterally rescheduled my flight from Tirana to Pisa (booking QK6EWS) from 14:05 to 06:00 — an 8-hour shift — with no operational justification.

The smoking gun: the 06:00 flight they moved me to was already sold out on their website. This is not a schedule change. This is a deliberate commercial decision to free up a more profitable time slot during the All Saints' Day holiday bridge, at the expense of passengers who had already booked.

To cover their tracks, they also removed the original 14:05 flight from their schedule entirely.

I have not accepted the modification. I have filed formal complaints with:
— The Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA)
— The Italian Competition Authority (AGCM)
— Wizz Air directly, via formal legal notice

Wizz Air's business model relies on passengers giving up. I won't.

If you are considering flying with Wizz Air during peak periods, be aware: your confirmed flight time means nothing to them if they can make more money selling your slot to someone else.
