Wolfbox G840S dashcam looks at first to be one of the best dashcams you can buy, But im afraid its not, It is riddled with too many glitches and hardware failures, 1st issue was rear camera failed, Then the hardware (mirror motherboard) failed, Then the gps failed. the whole unit has been replaced twice now, But I must admit the customer service is the best ive ever come across, they are simply brilliant, They replaced everything without question, And it still doesnt work properly...The problem is the dashcam itself its complete rubbish

Don't be fooled into buying one of these dashcams. It's a scam! The cameras appear to work when you watch back the footage on the screen, however they use a format that cannot be read by any other kind of device. Apple products will not let you connect at all and Windows devices will keep flagging errors and at best you'll get audio only. If you do manage to install their unique player, then the quality is poor and it's very hard to obtain anything useful. Don't find out the hard way when something happens (like me) that the 'so called' dashcam has not captured footage you can use in evidence. You would need to take your car to the police station and get the officer to sit in the car and view the footage on the dashcam. Likewise if it went to court you'd need the judge to do the same thing. Total waste of money! They don't warn you when you buy it that the files cannot be read. It's basically a reversing camera and can't be relied upon to do anything more than that. Avoid this company. It seems that the expensive dashcams don't work at all...better off with a cheap one. The footage quality will be poor but at least it will work.

Don't give wolfbox your email address or contact details. They will spam you. If you block their emails, they will change the email they use to spam you.
Products are overrated and over priced, service is poor.
I will never purchase a product from wolfbox again.

recently purchased the 900pro . very fast delivery
installed hardwired all wires hidden. used an aftermarket mirror mount it looks oem.
my only gripe is the rear camera either needs a massive firmware update or a totally new camera its not the best in daylight its great. at night 60% of the time its useless
wolfbox im sure will sort this

Still re subscribed me to Email list. Products quality is below average for the price and the money is spent marketing on Facebook rather than adding quality features like others

I bought the wrong (G930) mirror, with wrong (Left Hand Side) front camera. It suffers from pixelation due to file compression, bleaching of whites at night, and can't invert an upside down rear camera image stored to file.

Wolfbox were really helpful, they recommended the G900 to cure to compression and bleaching problems, with a better rear camera which can have the rear image inverted on file. They also supplied the required Right Hand Side (UK) front camera mount, so this system works really well.

I am amazed the lengths Wolfbox went to, to ensure full customer satisfaction, to find the right product for me.

I just wish it was easier to find the right product with RHS UK front camera on their site.

A product only surpassed by the customer service!!!

I initially purchased the G840s when it first came out. Loved it and went to upgrade to the G900 for the better camera and 24 hr parking monitoring. It looks slick with the bracket attachment which is important for me. The hardwire kit is easy to install and everything came with great instructions.

Finally, the customer service is really second to none. 24 hour email line with VERY quick responses. They were very generous in offering me a replacement hardwire kit with the purchase of the G900 - other companies would laugh at you. ALICE, thank you. Please forward this review to your boss as you were just fantastic help in the last few weeks and I am a very very happy customer.

I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my dash cam needs, well thought out product and great service.

I bought a wolfbox mirror dash cam which has lasted just over 2yrs and now stopped working.
Wolfbox sent me a replacement upgraded camera.
Good customer service.

Excellent product, it does exactly as described. Really pleased with it. The customer service is excellent, i received a phone call from Theo after i left a message saying i had a query . Theo resolved it within minutes !! Thanks!!

Fist of all, the picture quality of the camera is fantastic. Easy to fit etc and I was very happy to have bought it. It would have been a 5 star review all the way. Unfortunately my camera died after 3 months. Wolfbox told me it was out of warranty as cameras have only 3 months apparently. But…not by U.K. law I told them! Anyway with some encouragement, they sent me a replacement camera. This one is already faulting. Flickering etc and I’m sure it’ll die within a month or two. So it’ll be another convo with woldbox and me more than likely having to get trading standards involved as I have a strong feeling they won’t wanna help due to them helping the first time round. Other than that, the mirror/screen rattles when driving. It’s so annoying! I’ve fitted rubber gaskets to try and help, but it seems a rattle is internal so it’s nothing I can solve. All in all if their warranty was 12 months like it’s supposed to be by LAW, or you had no issues like camera dying and no rattling this would be a very worthwhile product to buy. But the truth is it’s not so I’d look elsewhere. I’d have given 1 star but the screen is 10 out of 10 so I gave 2. If the camera lasts and I loose my hearing or the rattle goes away I’ll come back to re review.

I bought a Wolfbox OEM bracket that was said to be universal and would fit into my car. I was initially said I was eligible for a refund, however upon review, no refund was granted to me. Stay away from their products, bad customer service and bad products.

I bought a wolfbox G840s almost two years ago through amazon website and recently it started playing up the rear view camera started glitching twitching and just playing silly buggers, this started happening directly after I had my car serviced and noticed it had been knocked etc so I knew it wasn't a hardware/software issue by the product itself.
So I contacted the company to send a video of the glitches and twitches and to ask whether I needed to replace just the rear view cam and wires or the whole rear view mirror set up - I was just expecting a answer on which and the customer service team went above and beyond with my query. Even thou they are in a different continent and very different time scales they got back to me within a few short hours and over the next few days back and forth emails short concise to the point friendly and massively helpful they offered to send me out a replacement rear cam and mirror for free. This for me was above and beyond as I was way out of warranty the fault was not of theirs (nor mine blooming dealership) and I was fully prepared to purchase a new cam or whole new set up. After a couple of weeks now I received the replacement item today and have expressed my grattitude to the staff via email but also wanted to put something public about this company as its not the first time Ive contacted them (not with problems or issues mostly questions about products and stock etc) and they have always been so helpful, polite and very efficient with customer service, I couldn't rate this company higher if I wanted to and would recommend them and their products/services to anyone who asked.

The product itself was the Wolfbox G840s rear view mirror dash cam plus reversing cam. Bought on amazon almost two years ago and works literally plug and play. Option to have it hardwired or into the 9V plug which is how I do mine (again dealership issues) the camera is amazing the viewing screen is so much bigger than a normal mirror yet does not impede on any viewing space of the windscreen, the rear cam is crystal clear and gives a massively wide detailed clear image compared to the small section in the rear view mirror. If you dont have the tech in your car for a reversing camera and also want a dash cam this is amazing for combining the both as I dont like to have dashcams adding clutter to the windscreen. The wiring was so easy to run under the panelling in my car didnt have to remove any simply slotted the slim slight wires into the tims and there was more than enough to go round my small car and would suspect more than enough for the larger SUVs too however there are expansion leads you can get for dirt cheap online too. If hardwired then the reversing camera auto pops up the minute you select reverse if not hardwired it is as simple as leaving it on the rear view screen or swiping the mirror left/right to find the reversing lines to help with parking. Get a decent sized memory card for the system and you will never have to swap out the cards I had loads of saved files (usually silly people on the road to review later) plus the system continued to work amazingly well fast speeds and crystal clear. The cam does record internal sound but this can be turned off and the system is so easy to use even for novice technology users.
