I simply have no words to describe the horror of what I encountered upon picking up my Lexus GX 460 after a detail. I had owned this car less than 18 months and it was dirty and in need of cleaning but otherwise pristine. I took immense pride in that.
Picking up the car, the very first thing my husband and I noticed was the back panel of the passenger side and inside the tailgate corner sprayed with paint pale blue in color. When we went inside to get keys, we asked the woman at the front desk if we could speak to someone about this paint on the car. A young man who appeared to be in his 20s said “Yeah, I suppose. I figured you’d want to but I don’t have much time, I’m planning my vacation time schedule now.” WTH??? When we went back outside and we said that it was not been covered in paint upon arriving this morning he said that it was not his problem and he’d tried to use 2 chemicals to get it off and nothing worked so he didn’t know what to tell us. And he walked off to schedule his vacation.
The paint will not come off. There are spots on the running boards, steering wheel, seat belts, leather seats, carpeting. I have worked diligently and gotten most internal spots off but the outer damage will not come off for anything. I have pictures.
To add insult to injury, three weeks later we opened the hood to fill washer fluid and found a large rag laying on the engine that was left in there from the detail worker.
All we got from this organization was a 20-something who would not take the time to even attempt to make this right or talk to us about what happened OR figure out how to remedy this situation in ANY way possible because he was filling out papers for his vacation schedule! Then they went on to charge us a couple hundred dollars and change for what they had done! When we tried to talk to the woman at the front desk, unfortunately she was of no assistance either and we got nowhere.
To have this blue paint removed from the outside of my car will be exorbitantly expensive. Taking my beloved car in for a detail was my birthday gift from my husband and what was once pristine is a hot mess from this company. NEVER USE THEM!
