My Mistake

Ordered a replacement traffic cable for Garmin Nuvi.
Subsequently discovered that Trafficmaster provider was no longer active. Supplier did not advise me. So, my mistake and my original cable was still OK

After reading your review we put the direct question to Garmin. Garmin confirmed: "The customer will be able to receive traffic information when using the GTM 36 cable. Garmin offers traffic avoidance on “LMT/MT” Garmin sat navs via RDS-TMC. RDS-TMC (Radio Data System – Traffic Message Channel) works over the traditional analogue FM radio to inform you of delays and alternative routes". Did you already own a GTM 36? What was your original cable?

After purchasing a power lead for my


After purchasing a power lead for my Garmin I found the lead faulty. Active GPS don't take the returns for the product they sell and hand over all warranty work back to Garmin UK . If I had know this I would have bought elsewhere. Absolutely no help whatsoever to resolve the issue and Garmin are just as useless. Two weeks after contacting Active GPS they seem to have washed their hands of it and just let Garmin deal with it . I would definitely not purchase anything from them again and I will try to find a seller who actually stands over the product they sell. The fact of the matter is that almost two weeks on there has been no progress to fix or replace the lead . shocking poor service from the seller and Garmin and I will definitely be letting everyone who i know that rides motorbikes the poor quality and service from both parties !!

Your review is factually inaccurate. We do accept returns, however your return was for repair and/or replacement of the Garmin power lead which you suspected to be faulty. We confirmed to you that we do not have testing facilities for this hardwire power cable. The Garmin power lead would ultimately need to go to Garmin for testing and a repair or more likely a replacement would then issued. During the course of the four emails that we sent to you regarding this issue we confirmed two options to you. You could either send the cable directly to Garmin, which Garmin themselves (as the manufacturer) offered you or return the power lead back to ourselves to be sent to Garmin for testing and repair/replacement. You have so far opted to send the power lead back to Garmin. Our offer to send the lead back to ourselves for repair/replacement (as required) still stands. If you would like to use this option please reply to the last email we sent to you dated 1st September 2023.

Ordered an urgent item from ActiveGPS on Friday for a before 9.00am next day Saturday delivery. Package delivered 8.45am Sat. OEM product was as described. Excellent service. Would buy from them again.
