Absolutely awful company, they advertise no hassle returns and refunds but dont mention you have to beg for your money to be refunded, over 2 weeks since they have received and accepted my return and still have to wait for the refund. Excuse after Excuse let's face it in payments and refunds should be instant
Extremely Disappointed – Zero Urgency for Fish Welfare
I have been a loyal customer of Pond Solutions for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
Just one week after purchasing a pond pump from them, it stopped working completely. This isn’t just an inconvenience – the pump runs my waterfall, which provides vital aeration for my koi pond. On a day where temperatures have reached 34°C, every hour without proper water movement puts my fish at serious risk.
I contacted Pond Solutions first thing this morning and explained the urgency, asking if they could send a replacement out the same day. Instead of showing any understanding of the situation, they repeatedly insisted that I send them a video of the faulty pump.
Firstly, I was at work and couldn’t film anything until I got home. Secondly, what exactly is a video of a pump that doesn’t work supposed to prove? A pump that has failed is still a failed pump. All this request has done is delay resolving the issue while my fish remain at risk.
I’m now having to run a hose into the pond just to create some water movement, which isn’t ideal as the mains water is a different temperature and brings its own risks. This situation could have been avoided if Pond Solutions had shown even the slightest bit of urgency.
I fully understand that companies have warranty procedures to follow, but there has to be some common sense and compassion when live animals are involved, especially during an extreme heatwave. The lack of concern for the welfare of my fish has genuinely shocked me.
I’m absolutely disgusted that thousands of pounds worth of koi have effectively been put at risk over a request for a video that would have made no difference to the outcome.
After years of buying from Pond Solutions, this experience has completely destroyed my confidence in them.
Lies and breach of contract
I ordered a pump for my koi pond on next day delivery due to two pumps failing within a day of each other. The order was placed on time for next day. The order didn’t arrive.
I found out according to their terms I should never have been charged for next day shipping as my order was more than £100.
I contacted them informing them of the seriousness of the issue as my koi worth thousands are left without oxygenating water, they told me they had a delay in shipping due to unprecedented volume of orders and it would be sent that day or the next. Guess what… it didn’t get shipped (this is now day 3) I contacted them again and asked them to escalate. The response I got stated the order was delayed due to courier issues at the warehouse. A different story altogether.
They promised the item would be shipped that day… guess what, it wasn’t shipped.
I am now perusing legal options for breach of contract and damages / consequential losses as my fish have started to die due to low oxygenated water.
Trading standards will also be involved.

Avoid absolutely no follow in customer service

Purchased All pond solutions EF1+ Uv…
Purchased All pond solutions EF1+ Uv aquarium external filter. Cheapest Chinese noisy rubbish in a fancy box.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Uv bulb lasted a month. Sent email and told to turn the filter head 90 degrees. You cannot do this as the filter head is attached to the canister by two different type of clips Tried turning by 180 Degrees still doesnt work the bulb is blown as i said in first email. Emailed again and asked to be sent a bulb told to send photos of bulb. Why ??? Ive already cleaned filter and wont be taking it apart for another month. This firm does anything to fob you off instead of helping. Will chuck the rubbish in bin and by a decent filter. Serves me right for going cheap. zero customer service

Reliability
I purchased a pond filter from All Pond Solutions in May 2025. Unfortunately, within the warranty period the UV system developed a fault and stopped working.
Whilst investigating the warranty issue, I removed the UV bulb and quartz sleeve. The sleeve was accidentally damaged during this process. APS have agreed to replace the faulty UV head under warranty, however they are unable to supply a replacement quartz sleeve because they have no stock and cannot provide a timescale for when one will be available.
As a result, my filter system is currently unusable and my pond is left without proper filtration. I requested alternative solutions, including a replacement unit, temporary replacement, or compatible alternative part, but these were declined.
The customer service team have been polite and responsive throughout, however I am very disappointed that a product still under warranty cannot be returned to service because a critical spare part is unavailable.
I hope APS can improve their spare parts availability and offer better support when customers are left with non-functioning equipment.
Finally managed to get this sorted thanks to help from Kyra.
Sadly lost a fish in the process but the filter is back up and running.
I think if Kyra had dealt with my issue from the start then the repair would have been done sooner rather than taking almost 3 weeks.

Easy Clean Filtration System
We have now had our pond UV filtration system running for two months, and the difference in the clarity of water is marked. Cleaning the filter out really is an 'eye-opener'! The fountain attachment we have chosen to use is also a bonus, as it directs the water back into the pond, rather than trying to empty the pond as our previous fountain did. The aeration seems better, and the fish more lively.

I purchased a 55W UV steriliser and…
I purchased a 55W UV steriliser and after just two months it tripped the RCD. When I checked, I found water inside the bulb holder, something that should never happen in a correctly manufactured unit.
When I contacted the company, their response was essentially to blame me for “not checking the sleeve properly” during installation. If they genuinely believe water and electrics can happily coexist for two months without causing a problem, they need a serious refresher on basic electrical safety.
This product is cheaply made, clearly not built to last, and the customer service is even worse. They refuse to take responsibility for a fault that is obviously a manufacturing or sealing issue.
Buy from this company at your own risk, but don’t expect any support if something goes wrong.

The on line chat is very good but forget it if you want to speak to a human. You have to go on line get a ticket number and wait for them to call you which they never do.
If you know exactly what you want to buy it's acceptable but if you want any advice by discussing products forgot it, it doesn't exist with this company. For that reason I would never purchase from them!

Ordered a replacement pump after the old one went bad - taking out the house electrics in the process! Ordered it on a Saturday and left the fish to their own devices expecting a delivery sometime in the week following. Was astonished to have it in my hands on Sunday. Installed it and it's doing it's job just fine! Thank you, guys - a great job all round. (Oh - and the fish say thanks too!)

Excellent service again, I ordered replacement filter sponges and a uv bulb and it delivered the next day. A day earlier than expected. Yours is one company I recommend to anyone as the filter is great and my experiences have been superb in all areas. And I am a customer not staff, highly recommended!
