Alpaca Expeditions 

The first thing that made the experience exceptional was Felix and his personal skills. The trip wouldn’t have been the same without his organisation, knowledge and leadership ensuring every person of different fitness levels all were able to complete the 5 Day 4 night Machu Pichu Inca Trail Trek.

I have done many different group tours and I always worry that the food is not going to be good safe to say on this trip all of the food was delicious and well prepared. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were available with big portions and plenty of times to refill our hydration packs with fresh water.

The experience itself speaks for it self unforgettable, incredible and amazing all down to the organisation of Alpaca expeditions and of course Felix who made the experience so friendly. You don’t worry about anything as he is so knowledgable and has the answers which makes you feel comfortable.

My fitness level is moderate to high and I found the track easy but a little tyring from camping in tents. My parents of average fitness aged 55+ also found the hike moderate to easy. It was a challenge for them but not back breaking.

The only thing I wish was better was the toilets along some parts of the route BUT that is all part of the process and experience. The views, the challenge and the lovely people you meet is beyond worth it. It has made me want explore more of Peru!

Felix is a seasoned trekking leader and probably one of the best. I hike many places but this trip is my first group hike and it will not be the last. Thanks to the experience I had in this Peru trip. You guys are the best.

Our guides Juan Félix and Reynaldo went the mile and beyond to cater to our needs and made sure everything ran smoothly and we could enjoy the challenging trek. We had a memorable 5 days Inca Trail experience and learnt a lot about the Peruvian culture.

Félix was an absolute amazing guide who quickly became our brother in Peru. Felix was fantastic! We really enjoyed his explanations throughout our tour of Macchu Picchu. He is very professional, thoughtful, and provided a wonderful experience.

My husband and I did the 4 day 3 night luxury tour with Alpaca expeditions. We truly had the most amazing time and were blown away by the experience Alpaca provided. Our tour guide was Abel and he and his team of guides, chefs, and porters did such a great job taking care of us and the rest of the people on our trek. They had truly thought of everything to make our trip special. All of the meals, equipment, transportation, schedules were perfectly organized. If anything , they did TOO much - the meals, dishes, drinks were often over the top and beyond what we expected.

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone!

We did the 4D/3N Inca Trail through Alpaca Expeditions, and it was incredible! This was the first time I've ever truly camped and hiked so rigorously day after day, and I'm grateful that I chose to do so with Alpaca Expeditions. From the start the communication was very clear. They are very organized, and ready for any situation that arises on the trail.

I also want to call out our amazing tour guide, Wilber Ocon! I can't imagine a better guide for this experience. He was incredible knowledgeable about the Inca culture, and an amazing communicator. He was very easy to talk to, and a huge part of what made this such an amazing experience.

The entire Alpaca team is excellent. The porters are superstars, and you will be shocked watching them work. Definitely some of the hardest working people I've seen, and I'm very grateful for them. Our chef was also amazing and a wizard, cooking up some of the most creative and tasty meals I've ever had, he even baked us a cake on the trail!

This was a great trip! We went at a steady pace and our guide was so good at keeping us motivated along the way. I’m so glad we hiked rather than just getting the bus up - our guide shared a lot of interesting information throughout the trip. Highly recommended this tour

Susan, Susan and Susan! She was an incredible guide and we had such an incredible 5 days with her. She lead our small group of 5 and allowed us the freedom to go at our own pace and provided us with plenty of knowledge and information along the way.

We had an incredible, unforgettable experience hiking the Inca trail with Alpaca Expeditions. They were organized, professional, and so warm/friendly from the beginning of the trip to the end. The porters were unbelievable - they did everything that we were doing, while carrying our duffel bags and supplies. Their unflagging diligence is what made our trip possible. And in particular, our tour guide Wilber Ocon, was phenomenal. He was very a great communicator, organized, and highly knowledgeable about the Inca culture, the Inca trail, and the many archeological sites we saw on our way to Machu Pichu. It genuinely made our trip better to have him as our tour guide, because he was so funny and easy to talk to. If you’re on the fence about Alpaca Expeditions, I say just do it! In our experience, all of the good reviews we read online were absolutely true.

Truly a wonderful 5 day experience, led by Edward and Wilbur. The two of them were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure all 16 members of our trek were taken care of in whatever capacity was needed. These two guys really feel like friends after being with them for 5 days.

Also huge shoutout to Walter, our chef, who made phenomenal meals three times a day. Really impressive his ability to move around the mountain and cook for us.

Great organization. Insights that optimized our trip and helped us get to the end with a trip built just for us. A trip of a lifetime that we will cherish forever. We greatly appreciated Henrry, Maximo, Uri and the whole crew of porters.

Overall very organized, great chef, hard working porters, knowledgeable and funny tour guides (Alvin and Hans). Removed one star as we had some issues with our sleeping bag and tent zipper and mainly because I was alone on the trail for 1 hr which wasn’t ideal as tour guides should always be within eyesight, especially closer to sunset. Otherwise great experience and I would definitely recommend alpaca

I was in America’s group. Right from the start, he gave me and my friends every info we needed for this hike. I was kinda scared bc it was my first time trekking. It was a great experience! I loved the pace, I feel stronger and I didn’t have to wait for a lot of people. Americo is very passionate on Peru’s culture and heritage. Very knowledgeable about Peru’s roots.
