Alpaca Expeditions 

I had an amazing experience with Alpaca on my 6D/5N Choquequirao + Machupichu trip. Nando and his team made sure that the entire team had an amazing time together. The meals were delicious and prepared to perfection. All the activities were on schedule and arranged such that we had lots of time to relax and take in the views. We got to experience the culture in a very special way.

An Epic Adventure with a first class tour company. It was clear that Alpaca Adventures is the premier Inca trail + Machu Pichu guide operator. Our Guides - Americano & Emerson are the best. Friendly, attentive, and well spoken english.

All the people with Alpaca, the porters, the chefs and the guides were awesome. They took really good care of us and made the journey great. The head guide, Americana, was very knowledgeable about Peru and the Inka civilization. He shared so many interesting things with us. Also, our other guide Emerson was super helpful and very friendly. And of course, the scenery was amazing and so was the food that the chefs prepared. We had three awesome home cooked meals everyday.

Alpaca Expeditions was absolutely amazing. One of the greatest experiences of my life.
Our tour guides made this a 13 out of 10 experience. Americo, our head tour guide, taught us so much Andean history, agriculture and horticulture the entire treck! Stopping to show us unique orchids, historical sites….above and beyond!!!
Emerson, our secondary tour guide, is the happiest, kindest human being, always taking care of every single one of us.
Our chefs were out of this world, serving 6 course meals three times a day! Our porters and their hard work was absolutely inspiring.
I can not recommend this Alpaca Expeditions enough, you’ll be lucky to get one of our Tour Guides but I’m sure they are all amazing.

First, our guides Americo and Emerson, were fantastic. Not only were they experts at helping us through the challenges and logistics of the arduous hike, but they were knowledgeable about both the history of the Andean people and the characteristics of present day Peru. The food was fantastic; thank you Chef Wilbur!! And thank you to the fabulous porters that made the journey so enjoyable!

Everything was organized for me which made the trek much more enjoyable. Food was great, accommodation was comfortable, and staff was very kind. Especially Henrry, Marcus and Fortunata. The trek itself was challenging, but very rewarding and enjoyable as well. Machu Picchu is very logistically demanding, so having someone experienced to handle that was awesome.

Such an incredible trek. Our guide Henrry was very friendly and knowledgable. The trek was very organised. The food was great, chef Marcus and assistant chef Fortunata prepared so many different meals each day for us and it was so delicious! All the guides, chefs and porters on the trek were super friendly and made the experience unforgettable. I would recommend Alpaca Expeditions to everyone!!

I took a super sacred valley tour with Juan as guide. He was a wonderful guide. Throughout the trek, he spent time to explain each site we visited. He is very knowledgable. He was patient and answered all my questions. I enjoyed my visit very much. Please allow me to say thank you very much to Juan!

My husband and I did the inca trail for 4 days 3 nights and our guides were sam and Valentino who were amazing. Well organised it started with a briefing the day before. The bus dropped us off at the start and breakfast provided. Day 1 of the walk was beautiful scenery and an inca site generally ok with a steep finish to the campsite. Day 2 was difficult but we were expecting that with around 10 hours hiking and a high summit. Day 3 more relaxed and Day 4 a hike to sun gate. All meals breakfast lunch and tea provided with opportunity to buy snacks on some days. The guides provided helpful information and advice and were very supportive nobody was left behind you could generally go at your own pace.

Every moment of this left me with memories to last a lifetime. Our guide Henrry made the experience easy as our Spanish isn’t the best so him being able to speak great English was great. He led us through paths with unreal scenic views and educated us on the wildlife, flora and fauna and also Inca history when we arrived to Choquequirao, he doesn’t mind a joke or 2 also!

Hard to say if I lost weight because our chef Enrique cooked enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed a small country and I don’t have self control. The quality of the food itself is truly restaurant grade but feels like beautiful home cooking. Our porter Luis assisted the chef with the large quantities of food and all other camping logistics, including transporting all our excess goods with the mules camp site to camp site. He was so quick, he could clean, pack up camp, lead the mules to the next site and still beat us even if we left an hour before him. Truly remarkable.

Cesar and Jose - The super guides!! Led us on an amazing (and challenging) experience that I will never forget. Our super guides took care of all of our needs and were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and traditional Inka culture. Our chefs made THE MOST AMAZING meals. They surprised us every night with something new and exciting. Morning Coca tea wakeups to get us going thanks to Jose and the chefs. Thank you for everything!! HAKUNAMATATA!!

I had an amazing experience with Alpaca Expeditions. My guides were Cesar and Jose and they were the best we could ask for. Cesar provided such valuable insight to every site and tailored his pace while hiking to our group very well. Jose was always available to help with every need. Our chef Ciriaco and the rest of the cooks made delicious meals that were healthy, balanced, with great variety. The itinerary was planned well and organized. Overall, I would recommend Alpaca to all my friends who plan to visit Cusco or Machu Picchu.

Every aspect of the Salkantay trek experience was wonderful. Our guides Cesar and Jose were knowledgeable and kind. The food was great - Ciriaco is a talented and creative chef. The accommodations were comfortable. Everything was well organized. I can’t say enough good things - 100% recommend!!

Incredible! Cesar and Jose were our guides for the 5 day Salkantay Trek and they were amazing. They walked at the perfect pace which was very helpful as this trek has some long days and some long inclines. Also gave fun facts along the way and spoke english very well. Chefs were amazing as well! Food was fresh and delicious. Everything well organized and our duffel bag always arrived at the accommodations before we did thanks to the horsemen

César and Jose made our Salkantay Trek experience amazing. Every day, including the hardest days, felt manageable because of the community they created for our small trekking group. César was very informative and I loved that in addition to the stunning views we saw on the hike, we also got to learn a lot about the Incan culture, history and wildlife. I had an amazing experience and will be telling all my friends and family about it!

Our trip with alpaca expeditions was amazing. Equal parts hard and awe-inspiring. Our guides- Cesar and Jose, were top notch and taught us so much history about the area as we travelled through. They made our group feel like a family. The food was stellar. Very creative and the chefs and porters worked so hard to get to our camp sites ahead of us each night to make our arrivals hospitable. Overall wonderful experience!

Had best 5 days doing Salkatray treck with these guys, well organized, every part is on time, 3 course meals 3 times a day. Wonderful experience, would definitely come back for Inca trail.

Best trip i’ve ever been on! Rolando and Raymondo were fantastic guides, everything ran smoothly and everything was taken care of. They were both very supportive on the hiking and everyone was looked after very well. Alejandro was our chef and the food was next level! So much food every meal, we definitely didn’t go hungry, amazing food. Would highly recommend using Alpaca Expeditions!

Alpaca is the best place you can book with! They really care about the people in the group. Rolando and Raymundo were the best guides you could get. They take time to learn your name interests and family which means a lot. Alpaca is very organized and has everything down to a perfect system.

I had an excellent time with Rolando and and Raymundo. Thanks to them we were always safe, learned so much about Peru and Inca history. Alejandro kept us very well fed with delicious Peruvian cuisine. I couldn’t reccomend the Salkantay trek enough, it is the trip of a lifetime!!! Alpaca is the best.
