I phoned Alpha batteries for a price and they bettered my previously best quote and delivered my new battery the same evening. Fantastic service and value.

Bought a battery off Alpha and with the fault of my own, did not choose stop start battery. When I rang Alpha to confess my mistake they where very helpful and understood my mistake.
They took battery back and replaced with correct battery and even give me discount on new battery. Would defiantly recommend. Thanks John and Paul.

I tested my motorhome battery on the 8th of November the battery test was found to be unserviceable, i then sent the test results to Alpha Batteries who in turn sent me a replacement battery on the 15th November which is now fitted.
Eight days from start to finish service doesn't get any better i will certainly use again much appreciated .

Very helpful advice from John Gabbott helped me select exactly the right battery for my needs. And speedy delivery too.

A great experience from beginning to end.After trying to source a battery for my Triumph TR6 and being told by spotty youths from various suppliers what I should have and didn't even know what a TR6 was,it was a pleasant surprise to get the battery I wanted from John at Alpha. Supplied the next day,fitted to the car and very happy.

super fast. placed order around 2.30, received delivery sms in next 10 mins. received charger next day tho i didnt choose express delivery. charger works properly as expected.

Terrible customer service experience. Here is my experience and why I give Alpha 2 stars, advising my friends to use alternative companies.

The starter battery on my VW has been in the book for a while and after a few days of no driving it didn't have enough charge to start. Called Alpha explaining that I need advice on which battery to get to replace it, as I am no expert. The chap on the phone asked for dimensions, which I gave, and I told him the make and model of the vehicle. He said "oh it's a xxx something battery, so you want this one to replace". Next day delivery, good price, great!

Battery arrives as expected, my mate comes round to fit it and says this battery is bigger than your old one and the terminals are on the back not the front! Call up Alpha and they are very defensive, no acknowledgement they made a mistake, no apology, just asking for the dimensions again... So I give them and this guy says "you were sent a battery for a Japanese car, I don't know why". No apology for the inconvenience that I've now not had a car for a few days. He says they'll send a replacement, but because I've called on a Friday after 3 there are no couriers. Takes my number (don't they already have it?) and says someone will call Monday morning to put it right.

By 1pm Monday I'm a bit annoyed as have had no call and feeling like these guys are not working hard to fix their mistake. Call up again and again they're very direct. Guy who is fixing it is on lunch apparently, he'll call me back. He does at 2.30pm. Says he'll send the right battery (£10 better model to make up for the error) and arrange for the wrong one to be collected.

Next day new one arrives and thankfully it's the right battery. Delivery guy says he has nothing in his job sheet to collect a battery... Call Alpha again and ask when they've arranged pickup for so maybe I can leave the house at some point in the day? Always a quickfire response, the guy says "just leave it at the front of your house with a note". I don't know what neighbourhood he lives in, but if I did that the battery would be gone in 30 mins! What kind of suggestion is that?

Now, 2 days after receiving the right battery I get a text from the delivery company saying they'll pick up the wrong one today in a 4 hour window. Why did Alpha not arrange for drop off and pick up to happen on the same day for customer convenience ? Are they taking the mick?

Certainly won't use them again and will be advising others not to. Worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. If Alpha, want to get in touch and explain to me what went wrong, I'm happy to listen. The guys answering their phones weren't interested.

Update: Following this review the business owner called me very quickly. He acknowledged while Alpha are great at normal orders, their process is lacking / attitude of staff off for when an error is made and mistake needs fixing. He has promised to address that internally and given a discount on this order that I am happy with. Collection issues with the courier are out of Alpha's control and I am happy with the the response from the owner. Upgrading overall experience to 3 stars.

Great product info, very useful for finding specific dimensions I needed. Friendly helpful and generous when I had questions. The battery I bought seems good and was priced at the cutting edge of anything I could find online. I won’t bother looking elsewhere next time.
