AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

I paid a £810 deposit for bifolds. I chose alpine as they Promised a 2 week turnaround online and by the sales Guy, George.
After I payed the £810 deposit I was then told that the doors would be delivered 4 weeks from ordering. This was not what was promised and I needed a fast turnaround as my build was relying on the doors so I requested a refund or part refund of the deposit and cancel my order.
They refused to pay anything back so I lost £810.
Their customer care was shocking and they seemed to find the whole chapter quite amusing from their end.
I have contacted multiple advertising agencies and they promise a two week turnaround online and by their sales Team ‘The fastest in the UK’

I ordered elsewhere cheaper and a 5 working day turnaround.

Have to say I find some of the below comments, after stumbling across the companies reviews, by the way after using Alpine for years, both disappointing and surprising.

If we’re being fair, things DO go wrong not only in life but especially in construction, I accepted that years ago, it’s about how the company and this company go about rectifying it that is pleasing, as well as the price, product and service in general.

I know the owner personally and know he wouldn’t allow his company to not have and honest and hard working employees throughout his business whether it’s the lads on the shop floor or the ladies and gents in the office.

Alpine is a local business and were let down catastrophically by something out of their hands over the summer and should be supported for battling through it and coming through the other side, not lamented at any given opportunity.

We bought an aluminium door from Alpine Aluminium.

When it was installed, it had 16 faults - from functional faults to very, very poor finish.

Alpine aluminium have 2 times sent fitters to our house and both times, the fitters have said that the door needs to be changed.

After both visits, absolutely NOTHING happens.

We keep phoning Alpine Aluminium for an update on when they are going to install the new door, but nobody knows anything and nobody returns phone calls.

We are going to go legal now to get our money back.

If I could give zero I would lied to time and time again non customer facing management. Told by Jake in sales all doirs are standard hight then supplied 6ft tall doors. Took an eternity to get rectified " at cost to me" failed to deliver on specified date even though I was guaranteed by Loura its deffo on route to you , your the next delivery. When I rang on the day to ask where they where. Next day when I rang they said they had no idea they had not been delivered. Then gave me a delivery date almost a week later because other orders where priority as they where installing and I was installing myself.when doors finally arrived there was a different inferior quality lock on them and a wrong coloured handle fitted with a replacement right coloured one handed to me by the delivery driver so in short Avoid at all costs

Having shopped arond the market we decided the chose these guys, and what a great decision it was.

Smooth service throughout with Ross in the sales team. Deciding to spend a large chunk of our savinsg on new doors and windows we saw as an investment. It has added value to our home and let us open our dining up into the garden wiih the bifold doors.

PJ the fitter was great, as we had other trades on site at the same time. He made sure he was finished on time and kept the job tidy. The kids love being able to walk strait out into the garden through the bifolds now instead of opening and closing doors.

Would definitely recommend them to friends and family

I purchased some bifold doors, windows all around the house and a roof lantern and i can honestly say i am so happy with the outcome!
The service from Connor D was absolutely amazing and he was helpful from start to finish, the service from the customer service team was also amazing and really helpful too. I cannot thank this company enough, my house looks absolutely amazing and would 100% recommend.

Absolute shambles of a company.
Basically blackmailed us into taking our original review down otherwise their director would not stick to the promised fitting service and delivery time. Handled in the absolute worst way possible, Rude staff and customer service that is the worst I've experienced as a trader dealing with hundreds of businesses. Their promises are worth nothing, they will break them over and over. Blamed delays on inbound supply of materials but that does not take away from the fact they have the most appauling staff and service.

Avoid like the plague.

We spend £16k with this company and since installation we keep finding fault after fault and issues with the questionable quality of both the materials and their fitters. The customer service from the after sales staff is also appalling. I've exchanged around 15 emails just to get them to come deal with some of our outstanding issues. They're experts at giving you the runaround. They asked me to write it all up again today even after their own engineer visited recently and told me he would put in a report for the remedial works. I decided to fill this out instead to see if it elicits a more positive response.

We had a roof lantern installed as part of the work. We only realised this year it's not even sealed or airtight. Every single seal is between 1-2cm short which means we have around 30 holes where the heat is escaping. Our bills last year were literally through the roof and we couldn't understand why. I even had the lecky company out to check our meter was functioning correctly. They've cost us an absolute fortune. It needs completely de-glazing and refitting before we go through another winter. Ironically the strap-line on the side of their vans is 'a breath of fresh air'.

The spindle in one of the flimsy handles has broken meaning the window is locked shut. Even though the engineer was supposed to order one, I am told I need to fill out another form.

Almost every seal on most windows has also shrunk over the summer. Seems the original fitter ought to have glued them in place to prevent shrinkage but he was in a hurry and didn't bother.

That's all (for the current snag list).

Note that these are in addition to the numerous faults and snags that they've already been out to resolve. I was TOLD last time that I should write up a complete list. It's seems not being able to identify all our issues in one go was inconvenient for them. Although it would have been ameliorated somewhat had they sent competent fitters previously.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If we could afford to have them all taken out and replaced we would as I foresee future issues will develop given the quality of materials and workmanship.

Google someone else and do your research to save yourself a lot of aggrevation. Obviously we're gutted as the windows were part of a completed renovation we did in order to get our dream home. Now we're stuck in a nightmare.

Further to their reply below which goes to reinforce my current review because I DON'T have a date for someone to attend as they suggest. Sure, the aftersales team called me to ask about my issues and said they would call me back once they had spoken to their manager....still waiting as that was on Friday and now its Monday.

5 star service from all at Alpine Aluminium

After reading the reviews me and my husband decided to visit their office. The staff were very welcoming and explained everything in depth and answered any questions we had. After deciding to go with Alpine the survey ran very smoothly and again the team answered our questions in depth. The installation team went above and beyond and paid attention to detail leaving our property neat and tidy. Our bi folds and roof lantern look amazing and are high quality. Thank you very much would definitely recommend.

Absolutely shocking company. Never would I deal with them again. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this business!
They should be permanently banned from doing any trading considering how bad they treat their customers!!!

The staff were really useful in being able to cater for my particular design and offered guidance on how tailor my design to get the best value out of their service. Highly recommend using them as they are very knowledgeable not just about their products but how they can be adapted to benefit customers.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. We had a really good conversation about products and spec before coming to a great compromise together. Fast and attentive throughout the process. Will not go anywhere else in future. Five stars

Can’t recommend Alpine Aluminium enough. Excellent customer service and bent over backwards to accommodate my every need. Having a disabled son I often find that people don’t want my business when I explain the modifications and work I will need to make it accessible for his wheelchair, but not alpine, they couldn’t do enough. Great customer service, but above all, fantastic and reliable people.

Fantastic company. I had an issue with my bathroom doors opening properly upon purchasing a new house. A constant source of annoyance when you have a wife and young child to look after, as you can imagine. A friend recommended Alpine Aluminium and their helpful team sorted me out a great quote, quick fitting and a result which means I no longer get nagged from the wife and my child about "why won't it shut properly?!". Would definitely recommend
