Ann herself used to be so nice but unfortunately she has lost control of her business by hiring horrible ppl

We bought a steak pasties from the Lizard shop, it was absolutely disgusting the filling was all vegetables and two small pieces of steak. Will never buy these again.

Had these pasties in 2021 and they were pretty good. Bought a few to bring home this time and they were awful. Waste of an hours cooking in the oven. 4 pieces of tough meat and hard potato. Totally tasteless. I usually buy my pasties from a butchers in Yorkshire and they are wonderful. Full of flavour tender and half the price. Cornwall needs to up its game if this represents a Cornish pasty

After hearing good things about Ann's pasties I thought I try one as I was just up the road from the Helston shop. It was quite a disappointment, the pastry had a hard crust on the bottom but wasn't fully cooked on the inside, the top pastry was so thin that it split open on the first bite, and the contents fell out. The taste wasn't quite right either, not unpleasant, but not like a good pasty should taste. Sorry guys but you should check your product more often.

Guys, what’s happened? It seems commercialisation has taken over. Long gone are the beautiful handmade pasty that Ann use to make. We have been eating Ann’s Pasties for decades. But no more. Just very poor quality now and all look to be cooked from frozen. My last visit I appear to have purchased a potatoes pasty instead of the steak one as advertised!! Sorry, but Gear Farm’s has taken top slot.

We had an Ann's pasty at Kennack Sands. £5 each and a total ripoff. My husband is cornish and generations of his family have made traditional cornish pasties for hundreds of years. This imposter was cold in the middle, 3 pieces of meat, very sloppy and wet inside and black underneath. When taking it back to complain he was offered another one and refused a refund. He said it was the worse pastie he had ever tasted. Save your money. Total rip off at £5 each. Bought 1 today at Warren's in St Ives. Gorgeous, bursting with meat and lovely flavour. Ann's pasties you need to up your game and stop ripping people off .

Had an 'Ann's Steak Pasty' at Picnic in Falmouth today. Very poor. Overcooked, flavourless. 5 small pieces of meat and 1 piece of gristle - how does this qualify as a 'steak Pasty' under Trade Descriptions Act?Disgraceful.

Having visited Cornwall for years and each time indulging in a pastie, Ann's at The Lizard was the only awful one we've ever had. We had the Steak one, the underside was quite black and the pastry was so overcooked that it was too flaky and very dark in colour. The filing was that hot, so we had to wait for a while before being able to eat it. £8 for food not really suitable

Sadly, a similar review to those expressing their disappointment in the poor quality of these pasties. Whilst at Lizard we decided to try an Ann's Pastie. Never again. Dry pastry, hardly any meat which was a blessing as it was so tough and completely flavourless.
We live locally and enjoy a good pastie. I write this review as we were saddened to watch a party of American tourists about to tuck in and thought, how sad that such a traditional and important dish was being served so badly.
Up the game Ann and improve the quality!

Having eaten these pasties several times at the Lizard, I decided to order 10 steak pasties online. They are nothing like the ones we had at the Lizard. Very dry, very little meat and what there was is tough. Very little taste. An absolutely waste of money. Never again.

Bought a couple of traditional pasties at the new shop in the square at Lizard Village. What a great pastie it was too. Brilliant pastry and filling with a good meat turnip potato balance. Flavour did not disappoint. This place is going to be more Popular than the old shop. Well done on your first day.

We regularly purchase Cornish Pasties and have them sent to our home and this was the first time we had tried Anne's Pasties. I'm afraid we will not be ordering from them again. The pastry was very greasy and quite tough and difficult to cut with a knife. The ingredients were very loose and just fell out of the pasty and on top of that the meat was tough. A disapponting experience.

Whenever we are in The LIzard we make a beeline for Anns Pasties because they were amazing BUT after sending for 10 at £45 we were very disappointed. The pastry and veg was great but the 4 miniscule cubes of meat was tough and we threw the meat away, good job there were only 4 pieces. Will not purchase again.

I have heard a lot of good things about Anne’s Pasties and was looking forward to trying one. The flavours were excellent and pastry good, however my pasty had only two small chunks of meat inside, it was a medium sized steak pasty. Needless to say, overall disappointed with the experience.

Purchased two steak Pasties made by Ann's Pasties Helston at Cornish Food Box Truro. Purchased cold so had to be reheated. Eaten within two hours of purchase and expectations left a lot to be desired. Mine was 75% pastry which was so hard I couldn't cut with a serrated knife and contained not one sliver of meat. My wife's was similar but not quite as bad but again too much pastry and two measly pieces of steak. Will not be purchasing anything from this bakery in future. Not recommended. Even one star is too much. Most went in the bin and at £3.85 each an massive price for two pieces of shortcrust pastry that couldn't be eaten.
