Never received my order....
Never received my order. Helmet too small. It looks dreadful. Used once. Waste of money.
I love my Antiordinary helmet
I love my Antiordinary helmet! This was my first season with itâŠand I found it comfortable, lightweight and snuggly! I love that I can change the outer with my mood and outfit (black, blue or pink). I was worried it might not be as warm as my other helmet, but the outer/beanie pulled down over my ears and performed nicely.
Hope to get my husband into one in the coming year.
2026 NZ season.
Looking forward to the NZ season. Did a month in the Dolomites, Italy, really enjoying my helmet, the mountain carabinerii mountain police stopped me several times because helmets are mandatory. I showed them mine, they were impressed.
So my 75 year old skull is still in tact, warm and comfy.
Love my A2
Love my A2. Comfort is incredible, and I love the looks. Absolutely recommend.
The A2 was my first-ever helmet
The A2 was my first-ever helmet, and its unconventional look initially made me nervous. Though it felt strange to wear at first, that was just because I was unaccustomed to wearing one, not because of the fit. As time passed, it became incredibly comfortableâto the point where I barely noticed I had it on.
Bought the A2 for two reasonsâŠâŠ
Bought the A2 for two reasonsâŠâŠ I loved the story and ethos of the brand and was looking for the safest helmet after a TBI.
I love that I can change the outer colour to work with the gear Iâm wearing.
Best gift to my brain
Best helmet Iâve ever worn. Lasted the whole season with a few minor crashes. Felt very safe and comfy. Does take a few days to adjust like a shoe. Felt very unique and had lots of great reaction from friends and clients.
I love my helmet
I love my helmet, comfy, warm and I like the style and the brand!
Best helmet ever
Best helmet ever! So very comfortable, and I can change the outer cover as I want to. I went with the Volcom outer, and it also came with a black one. I will never use a different helmet again. Comfort, style, and safety.... You can't beat it.
AntiOrdinary A2 - Super Safe and Comfortable
The A2 helmet is amazingly comfortable and super safe - Iâd recommend anyone consider one when looking for a new helmet!
Also, great customer service - very happy to help and not a faceless corporation either!
Best helmet on the market, hands down.
Best helmet I have used, hands down. Super light and comfortable; the one-hand buckle is a game-changer with a toddler, as you never have 2 free hands! As an instructor, I would only really wear a helmet during busy holiday weeks, but now that I'm skiing recreationally again with a young child, it is an easy all-day, every-day wear, and I wouldn't go back!
Got an A2 two year ago I use it whenâŠ
Got an A2 two year ago I use it when nice and warm weather.
Still need to get used to the shape as between two sizes...but it feels fine after a couple of runs.
Awesome helmet
Awesome helmet, love the service thanks for creating an awesome helmet!
Iâve been so excited to buy this helmetâŠ
Iâve been so excited to buy this helmet for years, but please PLEASE use a different shipping service in Australia. Aramex provides such limited tracking itâs impossible to be home for the delivery, and it costs every time to redeliver, Iâve still not received my helmet and since Iâm between sizes I feel it will be a nightmare if I need to exchange.
No returns? Uncomfortable and bulbous.
I was really excited for this product. I hate the way helmets look and feel and this seemed to be targeted for exactly that. This is literally just a helmet with a thin beanie over it. It is insanely uncomfortable and looks nothing like a beanie. Like any normal product, I assumed i could just return it only to go to their website to find out they don't accept returns. Not really surprised based on the disappointment most people must feel after getting one. The helmet even comes with a piece of paper addressing the fact that you'll find it uncomfortable, but that you should keep it anyways. Greta idea, and I have no doubts on their safety and design, but bad execution and not accepting returns says everything you need to know, especially when they DO accept exchanges for size.

Excellent product AND customer service
Besides the fact I've experienced the product to provide good climate between -5 and -25 centigrade, while fitting like a glove, I wanted to give a special shout out to the customer support team. Got very helpful responses within an hour or so. Keep rocking guys.
A too long, but truly from the heart review of the A2 non-Newtonian based safety Snow Helmet
Hi Snow lovers. Heads up, I word vomit way too much of my experienced information during reviews, but it might help someone with the same thoughts about sizing. Also, the date of experience is January 22, 2024, but Trustpilot needs it to be within 12 months.
I love the Anti-Ordinary team, and my A2. The only advice I have is to size down if you are in between sizes. I got the medium, and it fits and works, but a size small would have fit me too ð
I would consider it wiser to size down if you are in between sizes. They have added that info to the website now anyways, as the helmet adjusts over time just like a snowboard boot. I ordered the helmet to ship to Canada, but lived in Germany already at that point. My dad brought it to me too late for an exchange, which is why I kept the medium, and it has still been keeping my head safe for the past 2 seasons. It does move about a bit though. But I am STILL very happy with my purchase!
I wanted to wear a separate beanie underneath the helmet as I get cold easily, so medium seemed like the right choice at the time⊠but to be honest, it gets too warm with extra layers. The merino based outer beanie does a fantastic job keeping your head the right temperature, and minimizing sweat
when on the go. I donât mind the helmet looking a bit more obviously like a helmet in the larger (medium) size, as the safety data blows competitors out of the water. Still, I think I will buy myself a size small fairly soon, not just for the better look, but also for the better fit. I would assume that it being tighter on the head is better over it being looser. I know a few people online have complained about how the helmet can look on their head, depending on size and head shape/size. But, thatâs usually the people who have not even ever held an A2. Judging it without the proper experience to do so. Complainers are the backbone of the internet, after all. Where would we be if we didnât have people putting everyone and everything down regularly⊠ð
But, just in case, if you want to make a purchase, triple check your head size. You can do this with a string and then using a measure tape to measure the straight string on a flat surface; if you donât have a measuring band (from sewing kit). But definitely triple check your head size. And plan to receive the helmet soon to try it on so that your perfect fit guarantee stays intact. You can also send the A-O team your measurements and your concerns, and they will support the whole process.
Leading me to talk about customer support; the customer service team is awesome. Always very kind and quick in their response, and supportive of your plights. Their Newsletter is also great, and keeps us up to date. Despite being a start up, that has likely faced extreme expenses in R&D (relatable for me, so I truly need to point this fact out), they have been supporting their community as best as they can. Tip a lifty is an example of this, where some proceeds of each sale went to support mountain staff.
Do yourself a favor and read all of the safety data they have made available. There are also multiple articles available from outside sources who have ranked the helmet high up on the list of best helmets for safety. There is plenty of places to research if you have any questions left, or ask them directly. I believe there is a charge if you return a helmet fully, so keep that in mind. It might be worth asking customer service if they have any upcoming ways for you to try a helmet on locally before deciding. I hope the company has a chance to go to certain mountain resorts for demos.
Lastly, the price⊠the helmet is far more expensive to produce before of the complexity of the build, and yet they are in the same range as helmet companies that are âwell-knownâ, and massively profitable. Anti-Ordinary is doing their best to keep brains unscrambled. Give them a chance ð
Misleading return policy - European consumer rights ignored
**UPDATE (11/12/2025)**
To clarify: I never claimed to be a customer, nor did I claim to have been denied a refund. This review concerns their publicly stated return policy, not a product experienceâwhich is entirely appropriate for a platform that helps consumers make informed decisions.
Following this review, Antiordinary did contact me, stating they "discourage reliance on change of mind returns due to environmental harm." I appreciate the environmental concern, but this doesn't address the legal issue.
As of today, their FAQ page still states: "We do not offer 'change of mind' refunds."
EU Directive 2011/83/EU is unambiguous: consumers have the right to cancel online purchases within 14 days "without providing any justification"âthis is explicitly called the "cooling-off period." The law doesn't permit sellers to discourage, condition, or exclude this right based on environmental philosophy or purchase intent.
The company claims their policies "comply with global legislation" and go "over and above what is required by EU law." These two statements cannot both be true while their website simultaneously states they don't offer change-of-mind refundsâwhich is precisely what EU law guarantees.
I'm glad to hear they honour returns in practice. However, publishing a policy that contradicts consumer protection lawâregardless of actual enforcementâis misleading to European customers who may not know their statutory rights.
My original concern stands: the publicly stated policy contradicts EU law. European consumers should be aware of their rights.
**ORIGINAL REVIEW**
I attempted to contact Antiordinary multiple times regarding their return policy, specifically asking whether they comply with European consumer protection laws that guarantee the right to return goods within 14 days of purchase with full refund. Despite several attempts to reach out, they have never responded to this legitimate question.
Their stated policy of "We do not offer 'change of mind' refunds" directly contradicts EU consumer rights legislation, which mandates that consumers have the right to cancel online purchases within 14 days without having to justify their decision. This is not a "change of mind" policy - it's a legal requirement across the European Union.
It's concerning that a company continues to market and sell products to European customers while apparently refusing to honor basic consumer protection rights that are legally required. The lack of response to direct inquiries about legal compliance is unprofessional and raises serious questions about their business practices.
For European customers: be aware that this company may not honor your statutory right to return goods as required by EU law.

Only helmet I've ever worn
I've skiing for 50 yrs, never worn a helmet, didn't believe they offered effective protection. Saw the research from AntiOrdinary & ordered 1 then next day. Wore it last season, so comfortable but the best thing was coming in & people saying " is that a beanie helmet?" & being able to show & explain how good they are. Looking forward to seeing more on the snow this season
