Simple, efficient, and reliable. Makes finding a teacher really easy

I tested their tutoring services on my 14-year-old daughter and unfortunately we were very disappointing by the tutoring she got (all of the answers that my daughter wrote on her homework during the tutoring were wrong) so we contacted apprentice to claim the “ satisfaction guaranteed” guarantee that they promote on their website, but unfortunately we never heard back from them

App requires to pay 34 € fee to use the platform.

Edit: Money finally returned to my account. They sent a message that the money “was not taken but authorised”. Sure, when that happens my bank normally says: “Your payment will be reverted in a few days if unclaimed by merchant” or something like that, and in this case it said “Transferred, this payment can no longer be reverted” but you know what? Whatever, at least they transferred the money back in a timely manner.

This doesn’t really change any of my previous points however. Sure, I wasn’t actually scammed, but I also didn’t say originally that I was scammed, I said it feels like I was scammed, which, sorry, it did.

For anyone reading this, wondering about Apprentus, do whatever you will with this information, I deleted my account.

For anyone at Apprentus: do better. Give clear information, send confirmation emails when necessary, have actual humans available at the chat instead of making people wait over an hour and still not actually transferring them, or give an option during the chat to send an email to a human instead of waiting. And train your stupid ai chatbot to tell people correct information. It didn’t even tell me that my booking would be cancelled automatically after x amount of time if the teacher doesn’t respond. And I’m still confused by wth is Apprentus credit. That’s what you bot said I’d get my money in. I find zero info about it anywhere, asides from reviews on trustpilot… And do actual money authorisation with deducting a cent instead and payment only after confirmation happens from both parties.

Original: Teacher never responded to messages or confirmed the booking request. I sent a dispute booking, got zero confirmation in email or at least a message within the site about it, tried to talk to a customer representative but it's impossible to actually talk to a human even after waiting for over an hour.

It feels like I got scammed out of 500 euro and I'm not able to find another teacher because I'm still waiting on the money to be at least put back as a apprentus credit... Let alone transferred back to my bank account.

During the booking it wasn't made clear that in case of cancellation the process would be:
1) dragged like this
2) and the money would be added back as apprentus credit, not transferred back immediately.

There should be a system in place that transfers at least the credits back in case the booking didn't even get confirmed... what an absolute scam.

A super simple way to not a have a problem like this is perhaps not deducting all the money immediately from the student's account prior to a teacher actually confirming that the lessons would happen?? They could just confirm that it is an existing account by deducting a cent or something, like many other services do.

Idk, sounds like something that would protect students with limited funds from scenarios like this...

Also, one more thing, I requested a transcript of the chat messages on the website and I never got that email either. Does anything actually work on this website?

Only one lesson in but really happy with my teacher and lesson format.
He took time to understand my guitar experience level and pitched the lesson and 'homework' according.

EDIT: After publishing this review, Apprentus contacted me and provided me another means of payment. They paid the amount owned without further issue. They also requested that I delete this review but in my opinion it should remain up. I will change it to 3 stars however due to their fast response time even though they only did once this review was up.

They have an ongoing issue with PayPal and, because of this, they owe me €750. They are very quick to accept payments from students, but when it comes time to pay the teacher, they don’t seem to care. They need to handle this PayPal issue much more efficiently. I contact them every two weeks asking for clarification and updates on when this will be resolved, but all they tell me is that they don’t know, and that my money will not be released until the issue is fixed.

Cette plateforme est d'un amateurisme sans nom! En tant que professeure chez eux depuis peu, j'ai eu mon premier élève le 20 décembre 2025. J'ai mis 12 jours à me faire payer après une suite épuisante de mails avec des réponses totalement inversées ; c'était moi la fautive (mdr). De plus, étant en défaut de paiement il ne m'ont jamais contacté pour m'expliquer, c'est moi qui les ai relancé plusieurs fois.
Et la dernière, et pas des moindre, hier je reçois un mail de leur part me disant que l'élève avait annulé le cours d'aujourd'hui alors que c'est totalement faux!! J'ai contacté l'élève et elle m'a confirmé qu'elle n'avait jamais fait ça. De quel droit se permettent-ils d'annuler un cours sans avertir les deux parties ??? J'ai bien sûr supprimer mon compte.
J'ai travaillé de nombreuses années avec d'autres plateformes similaires pour donner des cours, ça c'est toujours bien passé et c'est la première fois que je vois ce genre de comportement !!!

Très bonne expérience avec cette plate-forme pour trouver un professeur pour mon fils. La plate-forme est simple d'utilisation, gère les paiements (pas de mauvaise surprise de ce côté là) et la mise en relation avec le professeur.

It is a review about the Apprentus app, not the tutor review. Apprentus app modifies your messages and gives false information regarding the actual pricing. I was shocked to learn that the price of the lesson was increased by Apprentus themselves and didn't show the actual price the tutor was suggesting. Falsely claiming and keeping the money without mine and the tutor knowledge. I understand if I have to pay initial fee, but paying extra almost 10£ per lesson each time I think it's unfair business. Talk to your tutors directly if you are charged correctly!

So I bought a package of 10 lessons and from the first lesson I didn't liked it. So apprentus made a refund, but deducted so called "membership fee", which is anormous 50$... No way I can recommend this website.

An interesting website Apprentus.nl were easily a match can be accompliced between student and teacher.

I just had my second lesson with Phillip, my English teacher. I am delighted to have found such a good teacher on Apprentus and it was not easy for me at 77 years old! I can practice my school English orally, he articulates well and has good teaching methods; as soon as he sees that I don't understand an expression very well or that I make a mistake, he writes to me via Zoom Chat; speaking perfect French, he knows how to put me at ease. I only have one desire, to continue working on my English with him.

At first I wasn't sure if I could trust Apprentus but I am really glad I did. I did research online and many other people have also testified about their positive experiences. I found a wonderful teacher and I got a lot of value from this connection. I would absolutely recommend Apprentus. Their system protects the students in many ways to make sure that they get what they paid for so you have nothing to lose. Happy learning!!

Great service! And trustworthy

Preparing my profile was easy on Apprentus. The email system is good and proactive, a student was suggested to me by Apprentus after his first teacher did not satisfy him. A quick response from me made me get him as a student. The lesson confirmation and payment system where not clear to me at first but all is okay now.
I like the way Apprentus pays promptly and corrrectly.

Apprentus makes your offer visible and the communication easy. Everything is very efficient.

I found a great saxophone teacher via apprentus. The information apprentus provided facilitated my search a lot. I am also happy with the servies provided by apprentus around the booking of lessons.
