made window wrong 4 times and wouldn't honer warranty

I ordered a window for a customer and Atrium Windows had to remake the window 4 time because they kept making it wrong. 5 months later I finely had a window I could install. they wouldn't even compensate me for the hassle or the time it took them to screw up.
Then I ordered another window, a 48x71 picture window for a another customer. I purchased their Lifetime Glass Breakage Warranty. The window broke. I filed a glass breakage claim and Atrium Windows wouldn't warranty the window. I had to buy a whole new window.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Have been trying to replace one of the windows with a lifetime warranty. Have been waiting for a resolution for 7 months now. Shame on this company and shame on Lowe’s for not standing up for their customers.

Say no to Atrium

I have 31 Atrium windows in my home and 20 have seal failure. I examined each one in my house today and documented. Several have extensive water intrusion from my 2nd floor flooding into my 1st floor during heavy rain & winds. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND AT ALL. All I got from this company was we are going out of business to find out they are back in business.just the normal deflection/blame shifting to someone else. We have to do better than this!

Built new house in 2015-16 and so far 6


Built new house in 2015-16 and so far 6 windows have failed. Contacted Atrium and they said to send manufacture date and serial number. There are NO stickers on my windows with any information. Only know they are Atrium windows because I took pictures when the house was being built. Unfortunately, the contractor retired and destroyed all the paper work on our house. Really frustrated!!!!

no warranty

march 5 of 2022 we had a house fire. Contractor was told to replace windows with wallside or better windows. Atrium windows were ordered sept. 2022 and de;ivered in oct. 2022. We moved back into the house dec, 2022. We have issues with drafts and weatherstrips since day one. After a lot of run arounds from contractor,supplier. and atrium norandex..... i recieved a call from Jeffery Anderson. He saidhe represented Cornerstone who owns atrium brand. He stated.... One year labor and two year manufacturers warranty. Bottom line, anderson stated we were out of warranty and theres nothing he could do for me. By my count... I still have 7 months left on factory warranty.Wait... he did say he could send me a piece of weather strip so I can hire someone to replace it. When I told him that hansons offers lifetime...he shuckled and said ....we make windows for hansons.
Both the call center for atrium and the distributor here in michigan were at a lost of Jeffery Andersons explaination of atriums policy pertaining to warrenty.

Atrium and Lowe's store 2559 are


Atrium and Lowe's store 2559 are Horrid. Lowe's has 3rd party with a "LONE" installer! He Cuts corners like measuring Twin windows 1/2"+ Shorter so he can get the window in.

All Atrium windows had BLEMISHES, malfunctioned or Broken before installation. The job was never finished because I caught him covering up the Big gaps above the window with 1/2" open cell foam (POOR) and "Mass" amounts of Caulking.

Install Partners LLC is the other (installation) wrong doers in this equation! Stay away from anyone who uses "Install Partners LLC".

Synchrony Lowe's doesn't understand Certificate or Signature actually means. Synchrony also send personal information to other card members such as I of other Synchrony Lowe's members.

I hold many photos, audio recordings, emails and letters of this horrid experience to (prove) show.

Run away from Atrium

First off I own my own business and have been in Construction for over 35 years .
I purchased Atrium vinyl double hungs with grills in 9/22.
Of 7 units one being a Patio door 6 units were damaged severely in shipping or had MAJOR workmanship issues.
Immediately on receipt of these windows I was promised that all issues would be fixed or replaced .
Almost all the grills in glass which are permanent were installed crooked or misaligned completely. As were the screens. I reordered the window sashes no less than ten times. I never did get all the sashes replaced and just figured good enough as I had long lost patience. To this day 13 months later I still don’t have the screens all replaced
I have attempted communicating more than 20 times with this company.
It’s been the worst experience with a manufacturer in 35 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t consider buying an Atrium windows. Their windows are awful and their service is non existent!

Poor quality Atrium Windows

Ordered 26 windows for a new construction home. The windows are square but the sashes ( the part that raises and lowers ) are all out of square which prevents them from closing and locking properly. I made them aware of the problem and they remade all 26 sashes. When they arrived they are also out of square in the exact same fashion. Now, after dealing with this for 5 weeks, they want another 6 weeks to come out and review the issue.

High Failure Rate on Atrium Windows

25% of the windows installed failed within 27 months. Customer service says "beyond warranty period" and will not provide labor to re-install defective windows. High failure rate shows the products were not manufactured to a reasonable standard. Now waiting for the rest to fail with no support from the company.

Common sense doesn't exist at Atrium

This is the end of April 2023 and I have been working on getting replacement glass from Atrium Windows since the first weekend of October of last year. Atrium wasn’t responding to the local distributor at all. This is the second time I’m having to replace the Insulated Glass in my Atrium made transom windows. The house was built in 2006/2007. I had to replace the glass in 2015 due to seal leaks, but Atrium only covered one with their warranty. I got some BS story about why they would replace all three under the warranty. However, after what I had to go through for almost a month to track down an Atrium Windows contact and an Atrium Windows distributor in my area, I was happy to pay for the other two. They were still relatively affordable at the time. After all that, Atrium built them separately and sent them one at a time. So I received two different grid patterns within the windows. I didn’t understand why the difference. I was just happy to have non-fogging windows again. One of the windows was far enough away from the other two that it wasn’t that noticeable. It still bothered me. I had provided Atrium and their local distributor with the original order numbers from the original installation as I took pictures of all the stickers on the windows when they were installed. This time when attempting to order new ones, I provided all the same info along with the replacement shipping documents for one of the window order numbers from the first replacement glass order in hopes of a better result. As I stated, Atrium wasn’t responding to the local distributor. At the end of February, I’d had enough and wrote a letter to Atrium through their customer service site. Mid-March I received an email stating a case number was assigned to my concerns. Finally, I got a reply from a real person and thought we had made some real progress. I was sent a quote for what I thought was the glass replacement and told to present it to the local distributor. Since this was a special order, I was made to pay the full ridiculously expensive price up front. It was more than four times the cost of the 2015 replacement glass units. Yesterday, April 18, 2023, I was called to pick up my order. I had the boxes opened on the docks to verify the measurement of what I thought I ordered, only to find out they sent the whole transom frame with the glass installed. WT@! I can’t return them, they’re “special order” windows. This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever witnessed. Common sense is completely gone. And that’s saying something after twenty years in the Marine Corps and another fifteen in Civil Service in support of the Marine Corps. How do you replace one part of a three window assembled unit without destroying something else on the front of my house! These transoms sit mounted on top of two other double sash windows and were installed as one assembled unit. So now, instead of finding a company that can replace just the glass part of the transom like before, I have to find a company that can remove the whole window unit, disassemble the unit to remove the transom section, reattach the transom section, and reinstall the whole assembly without destroying everything surrounding the window in the process. I’m sure Atrium will say something like there was a miscommunication or a language/term barrier. No matter what, I’m the one left holding the bag. Thanks Atrium! Next time I’ll just order new windows from another company.

Waited 10 weeks for their “factory guy”


Waited 10 weeks for their “factory guy” to show up and install new gaskets on this brand new POS picture window with double hungs at each side. Guy that worked on them was Ok but was supposedly going to have them send new stops. That was going on 2 months ago. I bet I still be waiting had I not made it known on several occasions I was not going away. Unless you are up for a long drawn out ordeal avoid.

Nonexistent Customer Service / No Warranty Support

Repeated attempts to contact Atrium Windows & Doors via their toll-free number, website, email, and direct calls to their field support representative have yielded no results with respect to my warranty claim. Water is pooling on the inner lower sill of one of my windows. Mold is forming. Algae is growing. I first reported this issue on 22 August 2022. I have called more than a dozen times. I have been hung up on and sent text messages that the field support rep simply won't be able to inspect the window. I have filled out the contact form on Atrium Windows & Doors website but received no response.

I purchased Atrium Windows & Doors partly due to their warranty and reputation for standing behind their windows. They have not. As a consumer, I have exerted tremendous effort and considerable time simply trying to have someone deal with is clearly a manufacturing issue. Atrium Windows & Doors has stonewalled my attempts to resolve this issue amicably.

ATRIUM SENT WRONG WINDOW

July 1, 2022. I just waited 5 months for 4 windows. One window is a slider but was sent the wrong width. The factory order from Lowes is clearly correct but Atrium sent one 4 inches too long. Im being told that the window has to be reordered and that i will be put at the back of the line. Another 5 months? Lowes should find another vendor. Definitely demand that Lowes pay interest on the money they are holding for 5-6 months

I UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS WINDOW COMPANIES ARE HAVING ON DELAYS.
IF THEY CAN EXPEDITE THE WINDOW I’LL UPGRADE MY REVIEW. The ones installed today look top notch.

We just built our new home and the


We just built our new home and the experience with the Atrium windows has been frustrating to say the least. We’ve had water run into our house in several spots, the windows are hard to operate because they’re not aligned right, another window had to be replaced and after MONTHS of waiting they just sent back the same old window pretending it was new. We paid for new windows and none of them are of new quality. They all are patched together and flawed. Legal steps following. If I can keep any homeowner from going through what we’re going through, I will.

Horrible windows.

Everything about these windows is horrible. Not one of my 14 windows was made to a decent standard. They have remade 8 sets of my last 2 windows needed and they still are not correct. Trying to get ahold of them has been a complete nightmare. Stay away from these windows. Absolute junk. I hope people see these reviews before they order Atrium windows. JUNK AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
