Prompt & polite and fair price too. Would recommend

Had a slow puncture repaired and was very pleased with the service provided at the Depot. They dealt with the slow puncture quickly and efficiently.

When I got home a received an email with a health report that seems to suggest that one of my tyres was in critical condition.

The Depot Manager was very good and telephoned me to explain the situation.

In discussion with the Manager it appears the report sent is intended to indicate to state of the tyre before it was repaired and not after.

My customers copy received by email didn’t identify that the work had already been carried out and so led me to believe my tyre still needed urgent replacement.

Can’t fault the local team but maybe the higher levels may need to rethink the customer reporting issue and report the health of the vehicle after the remedial work and not before.

My appointment was on time with a good welcome. The service I received was quick, knowledgeable with time to explain the issues with no pressure to purchase tryres.

Had to travel urgently to Germany and needed four winter tyres asap. Out of all tyre dealers in Barnstaple, ATS were the only ones who were able to source these tyres in time. Adam and his team were super helpful and it was a challenge getting them on the rims, but they managed to get the job done with just enough time left to reach the ferry. Really happy with the service and especially Adam, who really went out of his way to get it done. Highly recommended!

I wanted to know what damage was caused due to a Pothole/very loud Bang. Your team put my car on an elevator ramp and found a broken front suspension spring, the quote was acceptable and they started work on the car straight away.The spring was replaced and wheels tracked etc.Job done while I waited.

Under the Consumer Protection Rights Act 2014. The information provided to me was misleading.

Allow me to explain.

On Wednesday 7th January 2026 my car was booked into ATS Barnstaple for two new tyres.

The job was done. I had paid in advance.

Upon collection of the car.

I was informed by the chap sitting behind the counter. There was a problem.

My front breaks were none existent. Both discs and pads completely worn. They needed replacing yesterday is what another member of the team told me.

Then they told me the back breaks had also worn and needed replacing.

I asked how much this would cost. The chap behind the counter told me it would cost £580.00

They offered to book it in for the following week.

I explained I'd take the car to my local garage. And thanked them.

On Monday 12th January my car was inspected at my local garage.

Where upon I was informed the front discs were slightly warn. But were not serious enough to require changing. The front pads were fine. They weren't warn. Infact they had plenty of wear left.
The rear also had approximately 2000 to 3000 miles of wear .

This is completely unacceptable. I don't know if anyone else has had issues with ATS or in particular this branch.

But we have a clear example of fraud.
Fraud by false misrepresentation. Or at least misleading under the consumer protection rights act 2014.

I'm also left with another unnecessary bill for the examination of my car at my local garage.

This is a genuine review by a genuine customer. I was emailed a copy of their report which highlights the breaks as critical.

Friendly and helpful staff

I visited several times over the past couple of weeks and have received excellent service from Adam, as well as Dan and Brad earlier this week.

What started out to appear to be a simple wheel alignment issue was quickly diagnosed as a more serious problem by the team. Thanks to their thorough approach and attention to detail - the issue is now being dealt with under my manufacturers warranty.

Their commitment to customer care is second to none!

I had friends staying from Scotland with tracking problems on their car. We went into ATS Pottington. Alan and the team gave them reassurance , put their minds at rest , sorted out the problem and gave them amazing service

Didn't get off to a good start as the day I was supposed to get my tyres done they hadn't arrived - even though I booked the appointment 2 weeks in advance! Came back following day and tyres got fitted. Staff were very helpful - even though they were very busy - and courteous. Price was comparable with local garages and online tyre sites. Would use again.

Visited ATS Barnstaple today with my wife’s punctured tyre.
Absolutely top service, in and out in no time despite the 2 chaps being obviously busy.

As a single lady I feel anything to do with cars and we are treated as second class citizens, but I didn’t here , I felt I could trust there judgement and was happy with the work
