Had a really positive experience with Ez from Bayer car sales. We bought a Land Rover Discovery Sport. We traveled to collect it from Ireland and Ez was extremely honest with us from day one about any body work issues so that there weren’t any unexpected surprises when we arrived.
We arranged to have the car independently assessed before purchased and Ez dropped the car to and from the assessor. We really were very happy with Ez. He even followed up with a lovely message to ensure we had gotten home safely.

My Google reviews continue to be removed, despite describing my genuine experience and being supported by authorised Volvo diagnostic reports and repair invoices. This has happened repeatedly, and I find it extremely concerning.

In my opinion, potential customers are not getting a true picture of this dealership if genuine negative reviews keep disappearing. My husband and I relied on the positive reviews when we decided to buy our car, and unfortunately our experience was completely different.

I sincerely hope anyone considering buying from Bayer Car Sales takes the time to read reviews across multiple platforms before making a decision.

I've seen a few poor reviews but my experience was quite the opposite. Bayer was one of the best car purchase experiences I've had. The whole process was well managed with no pressure sales.

Rang on 2 occasions to inquire about £80k + vehicle. On both occasions failed to call back. Was only asking if vehicle had full service history.
Definitely won’t be purchasing from them.

Fantastic experience at Bayer, turned up without an appointment. Was show around the car I was interested in and also made an effort to show me around the show room. Lloyd was great and provided all the info I needed. I then showed up to see the car again and was left to it with 0 pressure. Didn’t end up buying the car but have nothing but good things to say about the lads there!

What a shame, I paid £1000 deposit on a car. I then had a change of heart regarding the purchase after only 5 days, before even seeing the car. I appericate its frustrating when people change there mind I was sorry to cancel. However these things happen. The company refused to refund my deposit. Please be careful with this company. Disappointing really as i hoped I would be treated better.
Just don't be pushed into handing over a money in advance poor practice from this company.

If you live outside the area avoid any dealings with this company, Great first contact but after that they didn't help in the best way for the customer at all but after weeks of emails I stopped emailing the dealer to only deal with Motonovo, thanks to the fabulous people at Motonovo finance I got my expenses back. I would not recommend or use this dealer again.

From the time we arrived at the garage Lloyd was very helpful with our enquiries about the car, finances, warranty. We can see parked at this garage at least 80 amazing cars in very good condition. All in all in two hours we see the car we made the paperwork and we left with the car.

We paid Bayer a £1,000 reservation fee on a 2021 Ford Transit Custom in April 2026. Perhaps not a lot of money for some, but a lot of money for us, especially right now, and we paid it in good faith based on what we'd been told in the showroom and what was written in the advert.

The advert described the van as having one owner from new and "offering excellent provenance," and the dealership as preferring to be "completely transparent." We took both at face value, the rookie error we'll know not to make again.

After we got home, we ran an independent carVertical provenance report and went through the Ford service invoices we'd been given properly. Three things stood out, and none of them had been mentioned to us at the dealership:

1. carVertical showed the van had a damage assessment recorded in November 2023, in the UK, on the front bumper and lighting, with a past repair cost estimate of £1,501–£3,000. There were no repair invoices to match this in the paperwork, and nothing had been said about it before we paid.

2. The Ford invoices showed the 50,000-mile service was done at 75,807 miles. That's around 25,800 miles overdue against Ford's own published service schedule and there was a 45,000-mile gap between the first and second services on what is a wet belt engine. Anyone familiar with the 2.0 EcoBlue will know how significant that is.

3. Two invoices dated eleven months apart both record the same odometer reading: 75,807. The van wasn't driven for almost a year, and we were given no paperwork covering that period which also overlaps with the November 2023 damage event.

Once we'd seen all this, we decided the van wasn't for us and asked for our deposit back. They refused, and have kept the £1,000.

We would honestly have considered a different vehicle from them, we weren't fundamentally against the dealership at this point. But after how they handled this and how we felt we were treated afterwards, I wouldn't ever consider them again.

If you're thinking of buying here, please do your own checks first. Things we wish we'd done:
- Don't pay by bank transfer use a card or something with recourse.
- Run your own provenance check (carVertical / HPI) BEFORE paying any deposit, not after.
- Get anything you're told about the van's history or condition in writing.

Our advice is to proceed with extreme caution.

Very long story but you should avoid this company at all costs. Put a deposit down in November for a Porche Macan. After a test drive if became clear that it needed repairs done to it. It turns out it needed new engine pistons (massive job). After waiting 3.5 MONTHS for the repairs to be done, and being lied to each week by both the sales team and the garage, we eventually couldn’t afford to wait any longer. So we pulled out of the sale in March 2026 and requested our deposit back (as per our consumer rights) obviously because they couldn’t provide us with a working vehicle. Now they’re ignoring these requests and we’re about to start proceedings with the small claims court. If you have to work with these guys USE A REPUTABLE PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION COMPANY, or AVOID COMPLETELY

Range Rover evoque told me the tax was cheap and it cost me 700 for the year no petrol in it when I picked it up 3 years of missing of service the history then I took the charger lead back faulty then all the trouble stared first the Ev stoped working then new battery two new tyres then I’ve spent more then 4000 pound sorted the car out I payed 22,000 it’s disgusting the warranty was rubbish only covers for 300 pounds never again would I even step foot in this garbage garage

Phoned up and emailed with a genuine interest in an Audi S5 being advertised. When I asked about the service history and timing chain as this was a higher mileage example the guys tone instantly changed. "I'll have to get back to you with that" was the response I got before the phone cut off. There was never a call back or response to my email.
Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to get fleeced. Taken my money elsewhere

Absolutely appalling AVOID at any cost. I bought a car from Bayer Car Sales Ltd and informed them of faults the very next day. They ignored me until I went back to the dealership and tried to return the car. They wouldn’t accept it so wasted another 150 mile journey. I emailed back and forth and they have fraudulently fixed the some of the issues and said it was not broken at time of sale. I have camera footage and app data from the car showing them changing parts and test driving the car. I am currently in the process of taking them to court to get my money back plus compensation. They are literally the nicest people until you hand your money over. They won’t take cards so you can’t claim it back. Avoid avoid avoid.

Wish I had seen the reviews before I bought my car. Had issues the moment I drove away on the motor way. Of course Bayer ignored emails for a month then when I started sending recoded post letter they all of a sudden started replying. Crooks! Now they want me to send my car 160 miles to there crooked designated garage for repair. Avoid!

Purchased a Ford Ranger - nice vehicle. Pre sale was great, nice and smooth. Within a few days my key was working intermittently. Took it to their garage, but Bayer refused to replace the key. Basically said, not our problem, not in warranty so you're on your own. Bayer sell a lot of cars, so maybe they just don't have time to check vehicles properly before they go out the door. You may get lucky, but you may not! Proceed with caution.

I’d rate the salesman Dan 5/5, great bloke and would happily deal with in the future.

However, with the car being the most important part of the review, it’s going to have to be a 1/5.

The issues started within a couple of miles of leaving the showroom, TPMS lights coming in, with what turned out to be a slow puncture, a screw that had clearly been in a while (almost buried in the rubber) and been disguised with a bump of air prior to pick up. By Day two of ownership, I had 3 different warning messages. With the dealership being four hours away, I took to the local JLR, who were brilliant. The only expense I had to foot was the tyre, which I did try to pass on to Bayer, however as per many other reviews people have left, their after sales is exceptionally poor and they couldn’t have been more dismissive.

Video & description didn’t show the true likeness of the VW Shuttle. Was in much worse condition and serious damage was hidden. Most importantly, 2 rear tyres were illegal but they argued it’s only the centre that counts. Outside edges were completely bald over & 25% of width so definitely should not have passed MOT. Seatbelt in the back was completely broken with all parts missing, another MOT failure. Bumper wasn’t on straight and one side had been resprayed at some point. They refused to return my £500 deposit and did not care at all about the points I raised. If they comment anything back I will happily add pictures and message screen shots showing my points. Would never go near this company as very clear they would sell any old rubbish and hide things. How anyone would let a customer drive away with a vehicle in that state is beyond me. You have been warned.
