Good selection of beds. We were looked after very well by the staff (John) who explained the bed types and finances etc in detail.

I was treated with the utmost politeness and the salesman ensured because of his knowledge that I purchased the right mattress for me

Excellent service and technical assistance

We visited the Orpington branch of Benson for Beds to start the process of chosing a new matress.
We had not shopped at this store before but we are very glad we did. The saleslady, Kash, started off by assessing what type of matress we needed and then showed us all the models in store which fitted those requirements. We were under no pressure to decide there and then and Kash provided us with a couple of quotes and offered to keep in touch with us while we made our mind up. An offer came up shortly afterwards so we were able to retry the bed before making a final decision. The whole process was made very easy for such a big purchase and service professional throughout..

The assistant that helped us was very knowledgeable and what I liked most of all was that she wasn’t pushy she told us to take our time whilst looking for a new mattresse.

Just the knowledge of beds and mattresses and bases, is unbelievable but then again it’s what they do and they know their stuff.

John went above and beyond to help with what we wanted.
The store manger was also brilliant taking away any worries about making the wrong choice etc.

I recently went into a branch of Bensons for Beds to buy a new kingsize mattress. I spent probably 2 hours with the salesperson who was very helpful and kind, and who ended up essentially upselling me a very expensive superking mattress.

We were very clear that we had slight concerns about getting it up our stairs, and went in to the shop with measurements we had already taken of the access route (which we had taken using the company's own guidelines). These measurements were later confirmed by the delivery team.

When it came to delivery 4 weeks later, it didn't fit, and the delivery team recommended that I reject the delivery and go back to the store. I was asked to sign a waiver, which stated that I was rejecting delivery (which itself did not mention any penalties for doing so).

When I went back into the store, only then was I told about the mandatory 20% fee for returning the original purchase, which would be paid on top of the cost of the new mattress (if I bought another from them). I stated to the manager (who was rude, dismissive and unprofessional by passing the phone around to colleagues whilst I was speaking without letting me know) that at no point was I told about the 20% fee by the salesperson, even though I had specifically asked what the situation would be if the mattress didn't fit. They just kept on referring back to the T&Cs (where the fee is mentioned). I am aware that I should have read the written T&Cs but having had such a detailed and open conversation with the salesperson about this exact scenario, I felt confident and comfortable to proceed.

The manager in store would not accept that their salesperson would have given incorrect advice, nor did they recognise that under UK law, a salesperson does have a legal responsibility to give accurate information when specifically asked a question, and that written terms alone are not enough if what was said (or not said) by the salesperson was misleading or omitted key facts. I was essentially called a liar by the manager who said 'it your word against ours'. So I am now £400 out of pocket and facing a needless battle for misrepresentation and a claim for a verbal representation matter.

Never will I shop with this Company again!

Nick, the Benson’s manager, was very helpful over the phone with product advice and guidance over how to proceed with our due diligence. We therefore decided to make the trip to Orpington, which was not our nearest store.
In store Nick was patient, knowledgeable and gentle in his purchase guidance. He listened to our objectives for a new bed and worked with us to select the right product. Importantly for us, Nick worked hard to put together an offer that worked for us. The transaction was very smooth and the customer service was outstanding.

Matt in the store was knowledgeable and attentive, and spent a good half hour talking me through several options. On delivery day the team were friendly, efficient, quick and checked if there was anything more I needed. Excellent service from start to finish.

In store service was excellent-Max was friendly, helpful and experienced. Quick, efficient ordering and service. A small issue with delivery but called Max and he sorted it out immediately. I couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you so much. excellent, high quality bed and brilliant customer service. Highly recommend this store but especially Max.

Very helpful staff - made buying a bed really easy

Ordered a mattress in the Orpington store, to be delivered to an address near Glasgow. Also booked the removal of an old bed. Orpington store service was first rate. Delivery guys slid the old bed along our hall instead of lifting it and caused damage to our brand new wooden floor. To be fair, they did not try to deny it and we were contacted later the same day to figure out how to proceed.

Our sleep expert John went above and beyond to make our experience so amazing so much so we bought a mattress and pillow, John was so lovely and friendly and we never felt pushed into buying anything which was lovely compared to a previous shop we had gone too
