Great customer service from the team and would definitely go back again to buy from that store

Easy. Straight forward. No messing.

We went into Benson for Beds and we immediately felt at ease. We were not pounced on and Stephen who helped us was exceptional from start to finish. He was friendly, welcoming and nothing but honest. We never felt pressured to purchase a mattress. Stephen made our whole visit feel relaxed and answered any questions that we asked. He was patient and supportive. We walked out from our visit happy and with a much needed new and luxurious mattress. We cannot wait to receive it. Thank you Stephen!!

We were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Mattress coming Tuesday and the old one being taken away.

Allowed to look round at our leisure, when we focused on the bed we like assistant came and gave us all the information we required, answered our questions, made it very easy for to complete our purchase. Would recommend Benson for Beds. 13/05/23.

Having already chosen my bed weeks before, on the day of actually ordering I changed my mind about the mattress and asked Jamie if he could change the order which he did without any issues.

Found it quite easy to talk to salespeople and very helpful so that’s why we choose bensons

Our experience was great due the welcoming staff, we were attended by Ali Humza, his attentiveness to our needs and requirements was excellent. He talked us through our needs and what would be the best product for our needs. He made the whole process easy and explained all our payment options really well. Really enjoyed the experience and customer service from Benson for Beds.

A very friendly member of staff approached me. He didn't try to push extra purchases on me or over-sell the product. He answered fully any questions I had, he was very knowledgeable about the product I was buying. A very pleasant, professional shopping experience. Would definitely recommend.

Ali at the Romford store was initially helpful, albeit seemed to favour each bed I decided on and have it himself, but the company has severe staffing issues with his practices, around conduct.

I enjoyed Ali’s relaxed sales style. I was encouraged to take my time and make a decision I was comfortable with. I chose a contender and went away to go to a few other stores for comparison. I decided to go back to Bensons for Beds; I found similar prices on comparable mattress offering better delivery dates, but I had liked Ali and wanted to order with him.

Upon return Ali suggested the interest free option and I decided finally on a more expensive choice as it gave me a year to pay. On filling out paperwork I mentioned it was my birthday and Ali said he would throw in a quilt for free as a gift and also said he would give me a complimentary care kit to leave with.

Delivery was set with a 4 week lead time. The day before delivery Ali phoned to say that my e-signature hadn’t gone through that day I had signed, the order had not processed, even though I had confirmation, and that I had to go back in, sign again and delivery would now not be until 15 May. I asked if he could make a better date as I was not happy to have to wait another few weeks as I had already waited four and had booked the day off work to receive the delivery the following day. I heard back on 20th April; Ali asked a colleague to make the call to me, he was there as the person was being fed information from him in the background as the conversation unfolded. A delivery date was proposed as 5 May; I asked that if they removed the delivery charge, I would accept the new date, come back in to the store to sign the paperwork again. This was agreed to. I asked they send confirmation in new paperwork. To my horror, what the paperwork revealed was that they were taking the £39 delivery charge off of the quilt amount charged. When I looked at the original paperwork I realised that the ‘free’ items of the quilt and care kit, were not free and had been added and totalled in to my final amount. I trusted Ali and didn’t really check the paperwork as he told me those were items he was throwing in for free for me. I expected to only pay for the mattress and the delivery, but my total amount was for everything, even the care kit I didn’t even really want and probably wouldn’t even ever unbox. I am still outraged.

When I told them I see what they were trying to do they hung up on me. Be careful, check your paperwork, don’t expect delivery to be when they say it will be and remember that Ali has every single bed in the store as his personal choice. He is unprofessional, devious and actually a very nasty person. His family should be embarrassed of him.

I have written to the company to see if they can shine a light on why their sales people are comfortable to add in hidden costs to customers after telling them items would not be charged for, but they haven’t replied.
