Brilliant, love Amanda as I'm through the NHS sign up, think she's really helpful and informative and the other staff have been lovely too. The only downsides, I wish we could swim more often in the studio pool at east end pool & I've found no zumba classes here, I'd either have to travel to Gosforth or West Denton, which I'm absolutely gutted about as I absolutely was looking forward to that. But all in all brilliant gym, great pools, enjoying the other classes I've attended so far. Just wished there was more studio pool time and some zumba at east end pool which would automatically turn it into a 5 star review.

Positive first visit
Really helpful staff member on Reception desk who helped me navigate the Better UK app and how to book sessions.
Pool wasn't too crowded and session was well supervised.

I am on the NHS referral membership I met with Amanda ash made me feel completely at ease and guided me through which classes she thought would be suitable for me as a beginner at the gym
I think it’s a brilliant scheme and very affordable the staff are all very friendly and the facilities are excellent value for money

Cleanliness is an issue
Love the fact they still have two lanes open during swim for all. Its a much more relaxed atmosphere than the swim for fitness times. The only issue i have with this center is the cleanliness. The cubicals in swimming changing rooms are quite dirty, theres lots of limescale inside changing rooms on the doors, theres even thick cobwebs in some of them! The toilets often stink of urine (in the ladies also) and there is always tissues all over the toilet cubicles, which when you are wet from the pool, they tend to stick to your feet! Also the stairs going up to the slides are very dirty, with pools of rusty puddles everywhere!

Amanda is an excellent trainer
Amanda is an excellent trainer. She is very encouraging. I am enjoying the Healthwise classes.
However, I also paid for swimming lessons. I didn't feel as though I learnt much last week. I have got another 3 swimming lessons so I will see how it goes.

Comprehensive selection of equipment, both for weight training and cardio; gym and changing rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and approachable. Positive experience so far.

It’s not changing room at gym area and…
It’s not changing room at gym area and only small locker requires 20p to use also anytime I book the gym not many people their I ask them why they said because we have to book it in advance just like 2021 social distance gym does not need to book for member it’s hard for me when I have little free time and want to go to gym and there isn’t available space to book for that time
