Not enough equipment in gym
Not enough equipment in gym. Washroom for swimming is not clean and taps are not spreading water properly. Staffs are helpful. But only problem is not enough stuffs in gym and washrooms are not clean in swimming changing room in ladies. And also as a member there is always problem in swimming pools. I haven’t been able to go to bigger pool because its always closed or there is class or something. Other than that its fine. Not worthy enough for £60 membership

We're really sorry to hear about your experience with the gym equipment and the cleanliness of the swimming changing rooms at the Waterfront Leisure Centre. Regarding the swimming pool availability, we understand how frustrating it can be when you're unable to access the bigger pool. We do our best to balance member access with scheduled classes, but we’ll look into how we can improve communication around pool availability and possibly increase open swim time for members.

A little frustrated
I've just joined the Waterfront and have been using the gym so far. On first impression, the gym appears smart and clean. I wasn't impressed however, with some of the equipment, some machines were out of use or faulty. More could be done to ensure a good customer first experience.

Completely changed my gym experience, I get super anxious in most gym's that I have been too.. At better I never feel like this and can finally work out and starting to see progress, all the leisure centres I have been too are clean and have all the equipment I need.. Haven't had the luxury of using the other facilities yet but looking forward to doing so

Marcus - Better assessor
Marcus, who did my assessment to join Better was brilliant. He built my confidence to join and has set easy targets to get used to the exercise programme. I am hoping to continue with this and achieve my fitness target.

A lovely Centre
The centre is looking really good with all the maintenance works they are doing to the centre. I am loving training there and going for a swim. Along with everyone being so kind and always a friendly face to greet you!

The centre has been noticeable worked on as cleaning has improved and it’s a lot nicer to walk around, train and swim.

Excellent so far
Excellent so far, being using the swimming pool for almost a month feeling the benefits already. Easy booking process, no issues getting in or out, staff all been helpful so far.

Unhappy regarding swimming pool access
As a member paying 60 pounds a month I can't access the swimming pools because there's always swimming classes for school children from most weekdays for most of the hours

I understand that you are facing challenges in using the pool facilities due to scheduled swimming lessons. I can imagine how frustrating that must be for you. After reviewing our booking system, I want to reassure you that we do have dedicated swim sessions available at various times throughout the week when no lessons are taking place, allowing for free swim opportunities. I recommend checking the online schedule for those options, as it may provide you with a better chance to enjoy the pool without interruptions.
Additionally, I noticed that your membership fees are currently listed at under £60 per month. If you are being billed a higher amount, please reach out to us at your earliest convenience. We are more than willing to investigate any discrepancies and resolve the issue for you.

Staff to be valued
Had an induction with Marcus , he was very thorough & informative.
Went to two supervised gym sessions , one with Danni & 1 with Jeff, again very thorough & informative which will encourage me to attend course.

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the facilities at Waterfront.
We understand there have been some issues with the slide and a temporary inflatable alternative has been bought in whilst the centre is looking into the maintenance surrounding this.

Water front gym experience
Whilst the Eqipment is generally acceptable some treadmills and bikes were out of operation.
The showers in the gents upstairs changing room were inoperable. Only two working.
Staff with whom I interacted were good.

I really enjoyed it, not too many people on the class. The instructor was very good but when she gave us instructions we couldn’t hear anything, she may need a microphone or something to be able to follow the exercise. Thank you
