Went there today for the first time. We had the mushroom Swiss burger and fries, which was the best burger we have ever had and the service was excellent,also the lattes was really good will definitely go again

Normally enjoy our experience here, however, this Friday changed that. Went with a friend and our excitable toddlers.
Preston's Assistant Manager Fran was unwelcoming, rude, blunt and really needs to understand that her work environment caters to children and to learn how to speak to them with professionalism. She even walked across us when leaving and ignored us whilst her colleague exchanged goodbye greetings. She is a bad example of management and customer service.
Arrived here with our 18 month old granddaughter, first impressions, looks great, how wrong can a person be! Paid over £100 for food and drinks, then was told we could not give our granddaughter her sugar free juice as it was not allowed, hubby went to speak to them but they were insisting it is not there policy and we could not use our own juice, we explained we need sugar free and they offered us full sugar Coke for an 18 month old!
Obviously we declined and we said we would not be swapping her drink, we proceeded to eat our lunch, which when we received it, it did not look the best, we all had ribs, brisket and sausage and some sort of coleslaw, the ribs were black and dry, the brisket was also dry and can't comment on the sausage as I give it away, it was inedible. What on earth the sauce was that came with it, is anyone's guess!
Whilst trying to eat, one of the 'managers' came over with a drink for our granddaughter and we told her she was not drinking it because she was giving her full sugar cordial, we asked her to please leave us alone but she continued to carry on telling us we could not let our granddaughter have her own drink! We asked her to leave us alone and she came back with YES SIR, she then finally left and oh here comes another manager/owner who told us that the 'manager' was crying, really was she, she has obviously never had any customer service training because for her to cry over what was said was diabolical, the manager/owner was obnoxious, he then said we should leave, to that we said with pleasure as the place was in fact one of the worst places we have ever visited, the food is completely overpriced and overcooked, all in all, this is one place where we would never ever visit again and if anyone mentions this place to me as they are thinking of visiting, would certainly tell them not to bother and go and spend your well earned cash somewhere else!
We didn't use the play area so can not comment on that, but even though you spend so much money there on food you are then expected to pay £3.00 to use the play equipment for one hour only, talk about money grabbing, so manager/owner you need to look at better training for staff and change some of your policies...
Good food, extremely loud and busy, bit if a delay on drinks and shakes
Absolutely amazing!! We are obsessed! On this trip Kat, Meg?(im sure) and a girl with blonde hair in a plait, I didnât catch the name of, were incredible. We came over and ended up with a completely random request and all three ladies were amazing! Really accommodating and it never felt like too much trouble or hassle. Service here is always good but today these superstars saved our day out.
Canât honestly thank them enough. All this with even mentioning how brilliant the food is. Literally always perfect!
I find it impossible in this day and age that the people serving ice cream are also handling cash, do not sanitise their hands or wear gloves between each serving or split duties. The great British public donât seem to mind one bit and are queuing out the door!
