Great products and price but terrible customer service!
I've bought quite a few things from Born since having my daughter in June. I've had to take a couple of things back because they were faulty and unfortunately the response to this was really poor for the following reasons -
1) no offer of a refund or replacement. an expectation for me to wait whilst the product was sent back despite being within 28-days
2) The person dealing with my return then lost my details so I ended up waiting for over 3-weeks to be told there was nothing wrong with the item (a breastpump).
3) Having explained to the attendant that the fault lay with the bottle set it appeared that only the mechanical pump was tested. I then had to wait for a replacement bottle set requiring a 3rd trip to the store. Whilst I want to support independent shops if the same thing had happened at John Lewis they'd have replaced the item and followed up with the manufacturer directly rather than keeping me waiting.
4) When i followed up on this return, i'd often speak to different attendants and there were no records kept of my return. I just kept being asked to come back / call back to speak to a specific person. This seems to be quite common and applicable even when making enquiries about stock etc.
Good prices. Easy to order. Fast delivery.
Easy to place an order online. Fast to process and post and good delivery time. Very happy with the product.

I was worried that I wouldn't find the right screws for my twins beds but I did through Born! its fantastic..his bed is fixed and i have pleny of spare ones just in case:-) great service and response to queries! well done

the item that I ordered (replacement front wheels for a push-chair) was quickly dispatched and arrived soon after. Good packaging and an efficient service. Exactly what I wanted.
Slow, slow, slow
They reply to e-mail were slowly. It might take week or two before you get any reply.
But if you order something that is in stock and you are not living outside UK this is most likely good option.

Found this better than other slings/carriers. Great for short trips to local shops or visiting friends. Gives me closeness with my baby and he likes to fall asleep in it. Like having my bump back (which I miss).

I ordered a Leander cradle mattress protector and sheets, it said they would be with me in 4-6 weeks but it actually took a lot longer! 11 weeks to be exact but I knew they were having difficulty in getting them in from there supplier as were every other shop I tried so I stuck with them and was kept in touch via email. When they came they were just what I wanted so I washed them and put them on the cradle mattress which was already waiting, with the cradle hung up in our bedroom and we are now still waiting for the baby to arrive! due in 2 weeks time.......

I chose Born as they had fantastic prices on Pop-In accessories - the night time boosters were on sale so I stocked up. I really liked the friendly customer service and communication was excellent. The only down side was the £5.95 delivery charge which almost made me change my mind about ordering, and did make me remove one or two items from my basket. I would have been happy to pay less and not have the parcel tracked. BabiPur only charge £2.95 for similar service.

I was first impressed by the company as I found a product (a pushchair) on their website that I wasn't able to find anywhere else. After placing my order the item was delivered, I believe, the next day. Two days later at the most.
Unfortunately after a couple of months use there was a problem with the buggy so I emailed the company. The next working day I think I had two emails, a missed call and a voicemail from their customer service agent hoping to get the issue rectified for me. When I spoke to them they arranged for a courier to pick the buggy up the very next day and a couple of days later an email to say they had received the product into their office and that the refund would be issued.
I think it is the best customer service experience I have had! Prompt and effective service.
Found something here that was out of stock everywhere else.
I'm new to cloth nappies, but after finding a type I liked, I needed a specific night insert. I couldn't find it in stock anywhere, all the well known major retailers where out of stock, so I was really pleased to find it available at BORN. The delivery charge seemed a little higher then other places, but being impatient it was a price I was happy to pay. My order came really quickly, and with a hand written note thanking me for my custom, a nice little personal touch which I liked :) plus a discount voucher to use on future orders. I'm a very happy customer.
