Excellent school, with training of the highest level. I’m very happy that I followed the advice of a friend who attended the ATPL course here before me.
Whenever I needed to contact instructors, technical support, or training advisors, it was always very easy and they were very helpful. The revision weeks with the instructors were always fantastic, and the exam room is by far the best among the Austro Control venues where I have taken exams.

The teaching materials were excellent, the question bank was up to date and responses to queries were quick. Lectures mainly geared to ATPL but relevant to CBIR. Importantly I enjoyed the course. The app was bit buggy then settled the web based QB was excellent. Web based lectures were well presented and teachers interacted well with the learners. Overall, slick.

Currently doing EASA PPL A license and BGS is amazing! Really helpful, explains when and why you got the question wrong.

Have seen multiple BGS questions come up on the real exams. 4 down 5 more exams to go. Will be using throughout my pilot training!

BGS was recommended to me by a trusted instructor, and they were absolutely right. Studying alongside full-time work, the structure of BGS’s course made that possible. Being able to set target completion dates for each module helped me stay organised and fit study around life commitments, while still finishing within my goal timeframe.

The course material is clear and well laid out. The tests after each topic and section are great for checking understanding, and the video library is especially helpful for areas needing a little more work.

The revision weeks are a brilliant way to prepare for exams. The instructors are friendly, engaging, and bring a wide range of real aviation experience to their teaching. The question bank is one of the best I used. You can have confidence that the instructors understand what the examiner is looking for and the explanations clearly show the reasoning behind each answer.

Whenever I contacted the team, they replied quickly and were always friendly and supportive.
Overall, I can’t recommend BGS enough, it’s a fantastic school and played a big part in helping me pass my ATPL exams.

Before starting my journey, I was told that Bristol Groundschool is the "Golden Standard" of ATOs. I am here to tell you this is true! From start to finish, everything has been top-notch, from the content to the revision weeks. I finished my studies in 9 months, passing all subjects first-time with a 96% average, which would not have been possible without BGS. I wouldn't bother looking anywhere else for another ATO. Whether you're EASA or UK CAA, this school caters for both.

Just completed my ATPL(H)/IR course. I came for the best price but got much more than that. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the CBT was convenient, and most of all the instructors were top notch. Especially, Chris Keane, if you get him for any of the subjects, you’re in for a good time - he’s one of those people that can make any subject interesting, no matter how dry it is. The revision weeks are easy to plan around so long as you are committed and provide a very comprehensive overview of the most necessary information to successfully sit your exams (I sat them at a non-Austro control EASA examination centre). It took me just over half a year to get it done. All in all, 10/10 would and do recommend!

Great school, done both my EASA and CAA UK atpls here. Each time I’m surprised by the professionalism and the effort of the instructors, all while keeping it as fun as possible!

With explanations along the lines of "really?" and simply mentioning the answer again as the explanation I can recommend other question banks.
Can definitely not recommend BGS.

I have just finished the last of my ATPL exams and am pleased to have achieved a really good strong average score - very much thanks to the support of the BGS content. I highly recommend them to any would be future pilots wanting to get to grips with the ATPLs.

I came to BGS having previously been enrolled at one of the big integrated schools but found their delivery to be sub par. In contrast, once I decided to go distance learning and started using BGS, the content was much more relatable, delivered well in the ATPDigital app, and easy to digest.

The subscription includes access to their webinars, exam bank, and the revision weeks, which were very professionally delivered and convenient in that it was possible to attend a virtual classroom.

Very friendly TKIs and support staff whenever there was an issue or question to be addressed. Thank you BGS!

I recently completed my ATPL(H) IR theory at Bristol Ground School and sat my exams with FOCA in Switzerland. My experience with BGS was outstanding. The instructors were incredibly helpful and explained all topics clearly and thoroughly. The webinars and revision weeks were exceptionally well-organized and effective. Administrative support was also excellent—forms and exam-related paperwork were handled quickly and efficiently, with responses typically received the same day. The student feedback system on exam questions is a real game changer and extremely helpful during preparation. Compared to other schools, Bristol Ground School truly stands out, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any student pursuing their ATPL theory, for both Helicopter and Airplanes. To study ATPL (H) IR along with Bristol Groundschool BGS was the best possible decission that I could have taken! The team, the lecturers and course setup is great, especially as I am working half a year long abroad with limited internet access it was great to study offline and synchronize the device from time to time only. I found the modul setup perfectly arranged, you start with the heavy topics at the beginning and it becomes easier throughout the following moduls, even as different topics are somehow interconnected. The mandatory revision weeks with mandatory attendance were the final step to succeed in the exams on the first attempt. Many hints were given by very competent instructors. If I had to chose an ATPL (H) schopl again, it was definitely agsin BGS - 100%, no doubt!!! Thanks to the whole BGS team!!!

This is my second time studying with BGS—first for my PPL, and now for the IR. Based on my experience, there’s no better choice for anyone pursuing aviation who needs flexibility and can’t commit to a rigid live-learning schedule. Studying with BGS has been an excellent experience, from their comprehensive online materials to the engaging remote classroom sessions led by their fantastic team.

If I were pursuing a commercial path in aviation, I’d definitely stick with BGS, as their support makes tackling the significant workload much more manageable. Even for my modest IR, the process was as enjoyable as EASA theory allows it to be..

I’ve just completed my studies with BGS for the ATPL (A) EASA, and I can’t recommend this school enough! They really are committed to ensuring the highest quality of teaching with very professional and experienced instructors. Furthermore the software used to study and the question bank website are very good and a great tool, together with the revision week, in order to pass the exams! The Staff at Bristol and the instructors are also always very willing to help out so even for a non native English speaker like me it’s been a smooth and easy ride.

Got my final ATPL results last week and I want to thank the BGS team for all their support in getting me through the course. Unreliable experience since last updates to database.
For more than a week database is unusable, always crushes and can’t load questions, waste of time specially if u have limited time before exams. In continuous contact with support, but nothing works from what they suggest.
Other database is more reliable.
Be aware before u buy.
