The worst of the worst when it comes to insurers


It is regrettable that it’s not possible to give zero stars. This company acted as a third party for Airbnb.
Reference: 25.019 // 7347327

Statement of facts: An Italian coffee maker exploded in an Airbnb rental in Colombia and caused second-degree burns to my chest. I provided photos, medical documentation (emergency room visit and follow-up with my doctor after returning to France), as well as medical expense invoices.

There was no response for months. I then contacted my insurance company’s legal department, which requested compensation from this company. After several weeks, the reply was: “You have not provided any new evidence of additional damages, therefore no compensation will be paid.”

However, I have not received a single euro in compensation for the bodily injuries I suffered. I assume they did not even open the case file.

This company merely acts as a shield to prevent Airbnb from having to assume any responsibility in the event of problems in its rental properties.

I would gladly participate in any class action lawsuit against this company.

These people are Loss Adjusters employed to keep costs to a minimum

After a serious road traffic collision, we were contacted by this company to “Assist us with our claim!” An off duty Police Sargeant who was travelling behind the vehicle at fault handled the situation at the roadside and said the other driver was at fault. Crawfords were given my details by the other driver’s insurers, persistently harassed me to use their service, but I declined The whole claim is being dealt with very efficiently by my insurance company with courtesy car supplied by Enterprise Rent A Car.

Got attacked by a european eastern mob cleaning woman who breached privacy and enteree place 15 min before départure. Attacked my wife which resulted in 3 weeks inability to work. Fascists Crawford says conflicting statements so no pay out. So easy than, next time tent from same owner through airbnb, Smash thé place to thé ground and beat up her staff to say they are lying and didnit themselves.

One star is too generous

One star is too generous! My claim has been referred to these clueless clowns from Air B&B after I suffered a horrific burn during a stay - the incident happened 11 months ago and I have most recently been chasing Crawford for an update for well over 30 days with at least 4 emails going ignored... only for this mornings reply to indicate that they are still awaiting the same "report" they have been awaiting for several months now... disgraceful!!!

I have called them multiple times and they have no knowledge of your claim. I have submitted my claim nearly 2 weeks ago for Uber sickness claim but they keep asking for documents every few days (which should’ve been asked for while submitting my claim).
When I call them they sound unprofessional and for the lack of better term their English is questionable,

Horrible, cheap and no shame.

This company has gone too far, too far, in the most cheap way to find any possible pretext to sabotage my claim. To deny recognition of injury as an accident is too cheap an attempt, too cheap, and whoever tried that should be ashamed.
Their e-mails are NEVER signed by a human name, never. I asked them to sign their e-mails to no avail.
Collins: Definitions of 'accident'
1. An accident happens when a vehicle hits a person, an object, or another vehicle, causing INJURY or damage.
2. If someone has an accident, something unpleasant happens to them that was not intended, sometimes causing INJURY or death.

Next level bad. Utterly disgraceful.

These guys are unreal. They email me today and acknowledge that their admin was bad and reiterate their apology for that but that they retain that their client isn't liable. In legal cases shouldnt the admin be water tight. These guys got things like dates wrong, kept asking for copies they had already received, missed their clients name off emails etc. It felt like my case was being administered by a chimp. None of that matters though as they know the outcome .....the admin is just a ticky box exercise until they can send their standard refusal of liability email. A FOI request revealed that less than 1 in 150 claims were paid out upon. The fact of this case was that I incurred almost £1000 of car damage courtesy of a durham county council road which I had personally reported numerous times. Yet it continued to deteriorate. When I had the damage it was repaired in less than 24 hours and AFTER the repair they asked me to go and take a photo. There is literally nothing you can say or do with these people who just follow their biased script to the bitter end. The admin eventually breaks them though. Keep on at them and make them work for their money. Twice they have refused to correspond with me any further despite their being numerous loose ends. I managed to get them to look in greater depth on both occasions by involving the ombudsman and making a formal complaint to their head office. It is now going to a small claims court where it looks like I just need to pay a small admin fee. Even if I don't win I look forward to highlighting the unjust and loaded process. I think the main thing that shines through is the arrogance. They are surprised that I don't just accept the hit of £1000? Truly terrible attitudes, crazy bad administration (like next level bad) and an outcome set in stone from the outset geared up to break you and diacourage pursuit. Disgraceful mess of a company. If what they are doing is as legally sound as they tell me, it is certainly unjust and in my opinion corrupt. Horrible. Best thing to do is to systematically report every pot hole to your local council so that these people have their work cut out trying to constantly deny fault. Small claims court looms.

Terrible experience.

Had a terrible experience dealing with this company. Their claim handlers consistently ignored important and relevant points raised. Their written responses were full of errors and irrelevancies. Expect long delays and don't expect to be treated fairly.

DREADFUL EXPERINCE

Terrible insurence company. Never ever spend a penny with this insurence if you dont want to suffer during your claim procedure .
Their employee is deniying thier own writen policy .
I send them all my evidence and proof of documents required for very simple claim that supposed to solve in max a week compare to other insurence companies but they kept me waiting nearly 6 weeks .After I read all reviwes understand clearly that they are not there for help people .They only aiming people given up from their deserved claim obviously .Dont buy any insurence from this company.

Was asked to provide photos of my claim


Was asked to provide photos of my claim which I did weeks ago and ever since all I get is texts messages asking me to provide the documents over and over again and now being threatened that they’ll settle with the third party if I don’t provide the documents.

Bearing in mind I rang up last Friday and confirmed over the phone they already had he documents so what’s going on?

I don’t appreciate the threatening texts when you lot clearly incapable of performing a simple task, jokers.

Excellent service!

I submitted a claim for car excess insurance due to an incident of our rented car. Claim reference #6913017 submitted on 25/8/23 online, where I uploaded all the relevant documents requested for. I received a confirmation email right away, and periodic notifications following that to inform me of the updates. My claim was handled by Tayla England, and Zurich PLC is the insurer. Full payment of my claim was credited into my bank account on 8/9/23. I have received excellent service from this company and feel that they deserved to be made known here.

Company's line of work from my experience is to sell their insurance policies and pay their staff to "play dumb" and repeat the same pre-fabricated answers to deny claims. They don't try to understand what comes from the customer's side. I am tempted to write the name of the person who dealt with my case here, but in a way I feel sorry for her. Cannot be nice to spend your working life treating people like that or else...

Incompetence from company about case

When I called them for the first time to inquire about my incident, they told me it would be solved in 6 months. After 6 months, I called them back and they told me the case is still open and that they are still investigating and they didn’t give a set time for when they case would be solved. It’s now been 1 year and 7 months and they haven’t taken any action, and always give me the same response “unfortunately we don’t know when it will be solved” and they they are “waiting for evidence from a 3rd party”. Sometimes I think if they are actually interested in solving the case or are only exploiting me for my money. I’ve payed for a premium price hoping that it would get my case solved but they haven’t done anything as of now. Because of their incompetence, I am suffering as I have to keep paying more money for the premium insurance. When i called the company, they told me to call my insurance company, Zego, but however when i call them, they tell me to call Crawford, and they keep repeating the same answer not helping out my case.

DREADFUL COMPANY - read the reviews!

If I could give this 'company' (in commas as I don't believe they are a legitimate company!) no stars then I would. I cannot believe that Worcestershire County Council use these for their insurance! I have never in my life experienced such horrendously bad service. Just like all the other reviews I have read so far, there is no communication, they ignore emails and never answer my questions. They have failed to provide me with any reasonings as to why the evidence I have provided is insufficient, despite paying £150 to have a professional independent report written as evidence for my claim. I am shocked at how dreadful this so called company behave and the fights not over yet. I to will be seeking legal counsel on this matter and Broadspire will be sent the charges when I win my case - which I will as I have lots and lots of evidence to support me! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS WHO DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR HOW TO DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!

Appalling service and delaying tactics like no other!

Like many others 1 star awarded as no option to award any less. My case was referred to Broadspire by Shell PLC following a not my fault personal accident at a Shell garage. I wasn’t looking to make a claim but was encouraged to do so by the very efficient Shell customer services. The accident happened at the end of July 2022, I made the claim in August 2022 and it still isn’t resolved 9 months later! I have been asked for the same information several times, I have been ignored, fobbed off and then my claim handler told me he had been away ill - for 2 months - does no one forward on emails or check sick colleagues inboxes in this company? They are experts at delaying the process. I am considering handing the whole affair to a legal team, even a no win no fee outfit to let them resolve it, as Broadspire are just so unprofessional. I have also informed Shell of the appalling service by their agents as I am surprised that such a large company as Shell use such a shockingly poor outsourcing solution. By the look of all the reviews on here

 Crawford TPA/Broadspire do not care about their reputation or resolving their clients cases satisfactorily.
