Tyler sorted out everything for me, it was a very easy experience and I am very happy with my new car. Even though I called up last minute, on the day he managed to sort everything for me. Highly recommend great company!!

I purchased a car from Brownscarcompany in Heybridge Essex and I would have given a no star review if it was possible. The car developed a serious fault with the engine management light coming on and the ECU reporting error codes, I returned the vehicle to them and after a couple of days they said the car had been repaired and they have replaced the faulty parts, when I collected the car I ask for the mechanics report of the work carried out on the vehicle and receipts for any parts replaced, I was assured that they would email them to me later that evening, I never received either. I contacted Brownscarcompany the next day as I noticed that the engine management light no longer works at all, I informed them that the engine management light no longer works and that the car has the same faults as what it was returned for, I have received no response from the dealership at all and have had to seek help from a solicitor as the car not only still has it's original faults but is now not able to pass an MOT due to a non functioning engine management light, the light must illuminate when the ignition is switched on and go out if there are no faults when the engine is started, if it doesn't do this the car would automatically fail the MOT.
The engine management light no longer functions at all so the car has more faults than what it had when it was returned. I am in the process of trying to return the car to them for a full refund, they have not responded to any of the messages sent either by myself or from the finance company, I am hoping that the solicitor will have better luck getting a response from them. This has been going on for several weeks and I am still no further forward than when I first returned the car for repair, avoid this dealership at all costs as they are friendly and helpful while they are taking your money but no help at all when things go wrong, in fact they have put the car in a much worse condition than what it was before it was originally returned to them for repair.

Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. A genuinely happy and welcoming place. Highly recommended. They are so nice and so efficient.

I was financed a car that turned out to be full of problems. Despite repeatedly reporting the issues, neither the broker nor the supplying garage were able to correctly diagnose or fix them.

After three months of delays just to get an inspection, I was finally told the front suspension has failed due to age and mileage and the ABS fault was dismissed as “wear and tear.”

This means I’ve been left financing a faulty vehicle with no real support or accountability. Both the broker and the garage were completely unhelpful throughout the process.

I would not recommend this company unless you’re happy to be stuck paying for a broken car for years with no meaningful aftercare.

I Bought this Tiguan last year from browns after trading in our mk3 focus rs as my wife was pregnant and we needed something slightly more sensible for our family the finance was not cleared on our previous vehicle for over 6 weeks by browns even after the car had been advertised by them and was on there for court we had to chase browns for a long period of time for them to refund a partial amount the car has been back to browns for various things in the time we have owned it including to have the top of the engine rebuilt and having a major water leak in the first week of ownership resulting in the car needing a water pump and timing belt which then failed and caused the engine to need a top end rebuild there was various bits wrong with the car when we picked it up after the water pump was repaired by them I picked it up and it had a electrical fault with the throttle epc light was illuminated partner was heavily prefanant and it left her in a vulnerable position having nearly cut out and running rough on the a12 car had been back with browns since October it’s gotten to the point that I’ve had to take this further with our finance company and we offered ample chances to browns for them to have our car repaired to a high standard which it was not the car came back in the state pictured below we are devastated we even offered them another chance to repair but it still wasn’t repaired correctly they said they didn’t have the time to repair it so they sent it to a back street third party garage which had other broken cars from browns car company and the mechanic was happy enough to tell me it was a common occurrence and they regularly get cars with problems or needing engine rebuilds from browns we have since tried to go through our finance company to reject the vehicle which so far hasn’t been much success due to poor communication between browns car company and our finance company we didn’t want to leave a bad review but it’s got to the point where we have no other option this car is a health hazard we came to collect it and the grinder marks that had been left still hadn’t been repaired after your garage had supposedly repaired it and it had been left to get soaked and full of mold and is clearly still using coolant I can’t have my wife and 3 week old baby in this vehicle when we left it with you the second time Ricky stated i would be charged storage fee’s even tho the car’s not fit for purpose which my partner found distressing this has by far gone on for long enough please respond to the finance company so we can get this resolved and take our money else where
