Research affiliated companies before buying.
Pro’s :
Pleasant to deal with throughout purchase.
Negotiated on price, because original price was higher than market value.
They always reply on WhatsApp (sometimes within a few hours, sometimes a couple of days.
Cons :
Car broke down TWICE within the first 3 weeks of having the car - it turns out that there was no seal in the coolant tank lid, so the coolant was boiling up and leaking out of the tank. A new lid eventually solved it - but it caused me to be stranded on a dual carriageway, in the heatwave (37 degrees), with my little boy, on a Friday afternoon.
Tyre pressure alerts lit up, within days of buying the car. The garage they use for servicing their cars, changed a tyre and forgot to reset the tyre pressure system.
Air conditioning ran out and had to be re-gassed within 2 uses.
Service light came on within 4 weeks of the sale (despite it apparently being serviced just before I collected the car). Brundall Autos said that the garage that they used to service it, must’ve forgotten to reset this AS WELL.
Lane Assist feature can’t be turned off - have to disable it manually every time I start the engine.
The warranty company they use is AWFUL (please check their reviews before you buy a car from Brundall Autos). The warranty company never respond to people and apparently “almost never pay out”. Brundall Autos have chosen the cheapest warranty option (for them personally), just so that they can say that a vehicle has 6 months warranty, to give the buyer a false sense of security.
I have NEVER had so many issues with a car I have bought - it has been costly and stressful, especially as a single mum with no help.
My negative experience may not be the company owners fault ‘entirely’ (because they seemed nice at point of sale) …but my advice for future buyers, would be to ask for the names of the garage they use and the warranty provider, in order to research those companies BEFORE buying from Brundall Autos.
