Ich kann es nicht empfehlen!
1300,20 NZD Anzahlung an Campervanfinder geleistet. Ein anderer Teil der Zahlung ging an den Camervermieter, der nicht Campervanfinder ist.
Den Gesamtpreis finde ich erheblich überzogen und die Vorgehensweise kommt mir suspekt vor.
Habe Leute getroffen, die den gleichen Camper hatten für 1 Tag weniger als ich und gleiche Konditionen für 1000 NZD weniger.
Wenn es möglich ist, einen Camper kurzfristig zu mieten, bedeutet es, dass dieser bislang nicht an den Kunden gebracht werden konnte. Man sollte als Unternehmer dann doch froh sein, dass man diesen vermieten konnte.
Alles rundum das Mieten stimmt mich sehr unzufrieden, sodass ich nie wieder Neuseeland besuchen möchte.
Erste Mal etwas gemietet und auch das letzte Mal.

Jeffrey von Campervanfinder hat mich über einen langen Zeitraum ausführlich und gut beraten und mit guten Angeboten versorgt. Obwohl ich mich ewig nicht entscheiden konnte, blieb er die ganze Zeit geduldig und freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Ende hat er mir sogar sehr kurzfristig noch den perfekten Campervan organisiert und auch dazu alle meine Fragelisten unermüdlich, freundlich und vollständig beantwortet. Ich kann den Service uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werde beim nächsten Neuseeland-Trip auf jeden Fall über Campervanfinder suchen und buchen.

Wir haben Campervanfinder für unsere 4wöchige Reise durch Neuseeland benutzt und waren mit dem Kontakt (Kristof Kose) und der Betreuung sehr zufrieden. Obwohl man den gesamten Betrag vor Antritt der Reise überweisen musste, was zuerst große Bedenken verursachte bei der hohen Summe, ist alles sehr gut und reibungslos gelaufen. Unser Fahrzeug war von McRent, welches fast neu und sehr hochwertig war. Den Vermieter (McRent) können wir auch sehr empfehlen.

Conversing with Gust was very easy and helped make the whole booking process very easy. Despite the time differences between us, Gust was always very prompt in replying to my requests.

We have used Campervan Finder in the past and have always found them, to be very helpful.
Michael replied very quickly to our initial web search and was able to offer us a couple of options for our forthcoming hire, one of which we have now booked.

Flo from Campervanfinder was very responsive and helped us quickly find a campervan that matched our needs. Even though prices increased overnight, the booking process itself was smooth and professional, and we felt well supported at that stage.

It’s important for future renters to understand how the structure works: Campervanfinder is a broker, not the rental company itself. In our case, the vehicle was provided by AutoSleepers, and the pickup in Cairns was handled by their local partner, Camperman. This is quite common in Australia, but it’s something backpackers should be aware of so expectations are aligned.

The pickup experience in Cairns could have been more detailed. The local staff were friendly, but not always fully familiar with all the vehicle features (bed conversion, awning, solar setup). My recommendation is to take your time at pickup and ask for hands-on demonstrations rather than explanations only.

That said, I want to highlight that Campervanfinder, and Flo in particular, remained engaged and ultimately showed good faith and generosity in supporting us afterward, which I really appreciated. While some issues were outside their direct control, they handled the situation professionally.

Overall, I would recommend Campervanfinder, especially for their booking support and willingness to stand by their customers. Just be aware of the partner-based rental model and do a thorough vehicle check at pickup to ensure a smooth trip

Was great to have someone who could pinpoint what vans were available for our specific requests. And communicate with us and answer our questions.

The service that we got from Gust has been nothing but faultless, & it has been our pleasure dealing with him :)

We rented a campervan for a road trip from Broome to Darwin. Unfortunately, our experience was not as smooth as expected due to several issues with the vehicle.

First of all, the grey water indicator was always showing “full” even when the tank was empty. I only discovered this after going back to the branch to ask, and they told me it was a known problem that could not be fixed. It would have been important to inform us about this before the rental.

Secondly, the gas bottle had a serious issue: if we left it open for more than half an hour, we could smell gas leaking. This was quite unsafe and made us feel uncomfortable using it.

The remote control for the air conditioning was also not working properly.

Another major problem was again with the grey water system: the tank often got blocked, so water from the shower would come back up as if the tank was full (even when it wasn’t). This forced us to empty the grey water tank very frequently during the trip.

Despite all these problems, we managed to reach our destination, but the trip was not as relaxed and trouble-free as we had hoped.

It was very easy to book through Gust, who replied on emails quickly and presented different options.
