Appalled by this 5 star hotel. I stayed for one night and was asked to leave a £150 deposit. I did not consume anything from the mini-bar yet I was deducted £53 from my deposit after I checked out for consuming products from the mini bar despite not even opening it.

We have just spent the weekend there.
Positives: the Virgin active health spa is excellent. And they upgraded us to a riverside view. Both appreciated.
Negatives: Truly terrible service. Without doubt the worst breakfast I've experienced at a hotel, ever. It wasn't busy, yet people had to wait for over 45 mins once seated. Toast and juice wasn't even served while we waited. No continental breakfast was available either. There were several very upset guests, it wasn't just us.

The night before, I had requested 2 teabags be sent up to our room at reception. They took half an hour to arrive, and two phone calls. Each time I called, the receptionist said they were "coming now". They weren't. I don't like being fobbed off like that. It's rude.

Given that it was quite expensive, I won't be rushing back.

The most amazing hotel experience I’ve had. Such friendly and helpful staff, so kind and genuine. Amazing rooms with the most beautiful views. Extremely clean and spacious. Such a pleasant stay, couldn’t have been better in any way. Would recommend!

Very Unprofessional, I wonder how the 5 starts fell on this hotel? In their banqueting(food and beverage) department, the 3 managers were found that one of them drank alcohol at on his night shift, the other often talked dirty jokes about his colleagues, and anther discriminated against female staffs all the time.
