I worked with Luke N, Jack P and Billel Z and they've all provided an outstanding service, looking after me every step of the way from securing my mortgage to considering my needs after that from a protection perspective.

I cant recommend Armani Simpson highly enough. He was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, even outside of typical working hours and on weekends, which made a huge difference during what can otherwise be a stressful experience.

What really stood out was his ability to condense complex information into a clear and digestible format. As someone from an international background where mortgage brokers aren’t commonly used, I wasn’t sure what to expect but Armani completely changed my perspective. I can now clearly see the value of working with a broker. He was also extremely patient and genuinely invested in finding the best possible rate for me. I never felt rushed or pressured, and it was clear he truly had my best interests at heart.

In many ways, he was even more helpful than my lawyers, simply because of how responsive he was and how effectively he simplified everything for me. I always felt informed, supported, and confident in the decisions I was making.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Genuinely not a great experience. Not sure what the commission rates are but once you have a mortgage the broker kind of forgets you exist and barely responds. I faced a lot of issues such as holds and a failed solicitor and my mortgage broker absolutely did not help with this and in fact, put the wrong details on my file, they didnt support me with a plan B at all and suggested i need to do it myself (Nationwide only speaks to lawyers or brokers, never the actual customer). Was absolutely not proactive or supportive at all and suggested a company merger suggested they cant take any actions to support you. You're better off NOT using a mortgage broker at all especially this one and actioning things yourself., would never go to Capricorn again and wouldnt recommend. Overall incompetent and irresponsible and seem pretty rogue.

Ross Culley is an exceptional mortgage advisor and I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a seamless home-buying experience. From our very first conversation, he was incredibly proactive and dedicated to getting the best possible outcome for me.

What impressed me most was how Ross consistently went above and beyond to support me with every query I had, no matter how small. He was extremely helpful, always available, and made a complex process feel straightforward. This has been, without question, the most incompetent and irresponsible mortgage brokerage experience I have ever had. Capricorn has shown zero professionalism, zero accountability, and zero respect for their clients’ time, money, or sanity. Charging £250 for a service they can’t even deliver properly is outrageous and then dumping the consequences of their own mistakes back onto the client is beyond unacceptable.

They submitted my full mortgage application before taking my consent. I was asked if I wanted to proceed (after I received the email from Santander noting that my application has already been submitted). Why ask for approval if you’ve already pushed the button? Completely reckless.

They were so trigger‑happy they submitted the application with the wrong solicitor. I gave them my solicitor’s details. Too late - they’d already blasted the application through with the seller’s solicitor listed. My actual solicitor had back & forth calls with Santander because Capricorn never contacted them, despite promising they would in December. This is admin 101, and they still managed to butcher it.

2 months wasted because of their negligence. The offer was ready in December 2025. It's almost end of February, Capricorn is saying they can't do anything due to “regulatory network change,” telling me to chase Openwork to fix their mistake. Apparently, taking responsibility isn’t part of their job description.

They charged £250 for an incomplete, careless service. If they had simply entered the correct solicitor details and have not been trigger-happy, none of this would have happened. Instead, I’m stuck doing the job I paid them to do. Why am I handing over £250 when I’m the one fixing their mistakes?

They don’t give clients options - they just pick a deal and submit it. My previous broker actually explained choices, pros and cons, and let me decide. Capricorn didn’t bother. They assumed the cheapest deal was “good enough” and submitted it without discussion. My other broker can get me the same (or better) rates without charging £250 and without acting recklessly.

My other broker have confirmed this isn’t an isolated incident. I’ve since learned that Capricorn has a reputation for being “trigger-happy” with applications, submitting them before clients approve anything. Based on my experience, that’s absolutely true.

Capricorn caused delays, stress, and a mess I’m still untangling all because of their own incompetence. I want my £250 refunded, and I’ll be using my previous broker who actually knows how to do their job.

I was VERY lucky to stumble across this company and especially, mortgage broker, Albano Toska, who was referred to me by an estate agent. I simply cannot praise Albano enough. He was friendly, clear, helpful but most of all, knowledgable and efficient - he got me a mortgage that was better than I had ever expected. He made the whole process very straightforward and I completed my house purchase today without a squeak from the lender. Albano's professionalism and expertise as broker throughout the process has been superlative; he is prepared to work weekends and evenings on your case if necessary!

Albano (and also Elga, who assisted later with all the admin with the lender) were supportive, efficient and communicative and I am very grateful to them for making the mortgage process as smooth as it was.

I also had a great experience dealing with Tim Aspinall who got me the life insurance and critical illness cover.

I would highly recommend Capricorn Financial Consultancy for all mortgage and insurance requirements. Everyone here is very helpful and very good at what they do.

Having had a positive experience with Capricorn FC in 2021, my partner was contacted again ahead of his re-mortgage. He scheduled an online meeting on 2 January; no one showed and no apologies were given, in advance or subsequently. Despite this, my partner arranged a follow up meeting on 6 January. Mortgage options and requirements were discussed with a promise the advisor would provide more detailed options in the next few working days. Those few days turned to weeks; 3 weeks - 24 January, in fact, after a chaser email was sent. In the meantime, another broker acting independently wrapped up the remortgage within a matter of days.

My partner emailed the company setting out his experience, hoping it would help them understand where it may lose customers and to enable them to take action to address the issues highlighted. To date, Capricorn haven’t had the curtesy of acknowledging the email (though as noted, the options were sent several days after so it appears to have been received), let alone apologising or setting out what steps they’d take to prevent it from happening again.

Based on this experience, we would not recommend Capricorn. It’s one thing to have an unprofessional advisor but for the company to fail to acknowledge a polite email highlighting issues shows a lack of concern for customers that speaks volumes.

Albano and Elga were absolutely fantastic. Very quick to respond, explained everything in detail and were generally just great! Very happy with the service, thanks again.

Britanny was super helpful. She had answers to all of my questions at her fingertips, explained things about mortgages in a way that anyone could understand, and she was very quick responding to all comms - emails, answering the phone, etc. etc.

I've used Capricorn twice for a residential mortgage and a buy to let remortgage.

Lewis Hutton helped on both and we couldn't be happier with the service provided. He was very clear with explaining our options and running through various different scenarios so we could make an informed decision. We had a couple of purchases fall through which meant we had to go back to the drawing board with getting a new mortgage offer organised which Lewis helped us on.

Will definitely use again on our next purchase/ sale.

Joe was absolutely fantastic. He was professional and friendly. More importantly, he ensured that we secured a mortgage that suited us. He was very clear and communicated effectively throughout the process. I have secured my first home and Joe was instrumental in that.

Ross Culley was my mortgage advisor, and he supported me through a very long journey of house hunting, making offers, and finally completing my purchase. He was always willing to help! Even while on holiday, he arranged a mortgage in principle for me instantly. He patiently answered all my questions (even the silly ones!) and guided me through every step of the process.

As a first-time buyer, I faced plenty of challenges and dealt with some unprofessional salespeople and estate agents, but I can honestly say that Ross was the best part of the experience. He is an outstanding mortgage advisor, and I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Albano has a unique blend of skills, combining a deep technical knowledge of complex remortgaging procedures with strong communication skills, enabling him to push things forward when property solicitors or any other stakeholders stall the entire process for days or weeks. Finally, he is a type of person who is genuinely interested in getting things done as fast as possible with minimal effort on the client side. Overall, I highly recommend working with Albano. He is an expert in his field and can advise on mortgage matters of varied complexity.

Nioosha Sajadi was my mortgage broker - really excellent service from start to finish. As a first-time buyer, Nioosha assuaged many of my worries and answered all of my questions very completely. She also helped to chase my solicitors on lender-related matters when they were being slow. I'll be back when it comes time to remortgage!
