I thought i was on the legitimate government road tax renewal page, as it looks identical. They've now taken a payment for the first direct debit, which is identical payment for my road tax. very misleading and deceiving. Now i cant find the website and i have no details to contact them to cancel the direct debit, which also doesn't show up on your bank account as they take the card details. now trying to recover the payment and stop the direct debits through the bank. Absolute nightmare.

Scam.
Never asked for anything other than a quick check on a vehicle. Didn’t ask for 12 monthly payments.

Disgusting company l did not give them permission to take any money out my account after getting a car up date for £10 nothing was said about a subscription robbing that's l have stopped my payment 🙃

Luckily my bank has recovered the money and put a stop to any futher debits

Worst scam ever. They keep taking 7.99 off you for ever. Even when you contact them and cancel. Scammers like this should be jailed.
The website will only let you cancel if you remember the reg of the car you checked out. Who's going to remember that? Disgusting.

They are faceless scammers how the hell they are still in business.
I got scammed for 6 months before I realised.
Barclays only managed to recover the last payment of £7.99

Scam, I never clicked a subscription for my verhicle reports monthly payments and the use different names but this scammers are able to take constant 7.99 off direct debits from my account. I went to their webside and I'm not able to use my e mail address to see any verhicle reports and I canceled the scam subcription and will contact my bank to block any more payments. But how to get my money back??? Why are they still in business why nobody stop them yet?

I too was caught out! Had a fine from DVLA for not having taxed my car. And they was taking money from my account for nothing lloyds soon put a stop to it. Not going to get my money back for the fine though!! Lesson learnt!

I logged onto the official DVLA website (or so I thought) I renewed my car tax however a couple of weeks later I received an email from DVLA to tell my my car tax had expired. I didn’t believe this to be true, I checked my emails to look for the car tax renewal confirmation and couldn’t find it. I called DVLA and indeed my car wasn’t taxed. I went through the process again but this time I was asked for the 11 digit number from my reminder letter which I wasn’t asked for previously…. As it was only a few quid I decided not to peruse it as I felt stupid. Today funds were taken from my account and I realised that this was going to be a monthly recurring payment.

I contacted my bank Monzo and reported the scam and within 3 minutes it had been reviewed by an investigator and had been approved as scam and all monies refunded. Amazing service from them wow!

I feel duped as. I truly believed this to be an official website. I will be more cautious in the future!

Same as previous reviews, this site is a complete scam.
It certainly leads you believe you are taxing your car.
Why do they get away with advertising after such reviews?

Never thought I would fall for one of these. I thought I had taxed my car and hadn't. Now they're still taking money every month from my bank account.
Check when you're taxing your vehicle online and use only .gov official site.

I am so upset i dont want this to happen to someone else, last week I went online to tax my car. I went on a site which I thought was an official and safe one. Unfortunately i was wrong. After checking with the DVLA this morning i was informed that my car still was not taxed! I was told that I had been scammed by this company Cardebit. Co. Uk i therefore I had to pay again for the renewal of my car tax this has been confirmed by my bank and it is unlikely i will get a refund. I am totally shocked and upset i cant believe it. I am a 68 year old lady who only has her pension to live on so this has left me in a very difficult position. Please be careful do not trust this company i dont want anybody to go through this like me.

This is a scam to trick people into thinking they are in contact with the DVLA but in actual fact you are on this scam site to trick you into buying a subscription. They have no contact number on their web site and no internet contact details to allow you to get in contact with them directly.
The DVLA should investigate how these scammers are doing this through the DVLA site

It's a scam. They pretend to be the DVLA when you want to pay your vehicle tax, but you end up receiving a vehicle report you don't want. They then charge you a monthly subscription fee without your knowledge.
