Cayman autos undertook a leak test on my vehicle. Having been made aware of the issues and the fact that water ingress would likely damage the gearbox solenoid (a well documented issue) they went ahead without taking any precautions. Their test consisted of simply throwing a bucket of water over the suspect area rather than using smart water to identify the source of the leak. When I pointed out that there was water around the gear shift they were unconcerned and returned the car to me in a now undriveable state and even when asked directly said there were no issues with the car. The car was at that point undriveable but they attempted to deflect blame by suggesting the fault was with the Gearbox ECU. This despite the AA breakdown technician running diagnostics and proving that it was the Gearbox solenoid now subsequently replaced. Avoid if you cherish your car!

Had a fault with my astra twintop .. used them last year when my hydraulic pump went so knowing there expertise I used them again .. they found a wiring loom problem which they repaired whilst I was away on 10 day holiday .. great service and LEAH kept in contact via email whilst i was away .. now fully functional and operative i can enjoy the forthcoming months of sun. No hesitation in using CAYMAN AUTOS .. no 1 in customer service and repairs even if I have to drive just over 2hrs to use there services 😎😎👌👌👌

My local main dealer had my car for a couple of days and gave me a shocking 'worst case scenario' (4K). I immediately contacted Cayman Auto Services and booked my car in. The fault was diagnosed in around an hour and fixed the same day while I waited (for a lot less than 4K!). They also serviced the roof and its operation is smoother than ever, and the car sounds quieter inside with the roof up too.

My VW EOS has had a leaking roof for over a year and was getting worse, after searching the web for a company to fix it I eventually found Cayman. Even better was the fact that they were not too far away. So after contacting them about my problem I took the car in on the 10th Feb for an assessment of the issue. After about 90 mins Cayman confirmed what I had suspected about the roof but also found a few other issues that were causing problems. I was given a detailed breakdown of what was required to fix the issues and advised that it would take approx. 2 weeks to dry out and fix and that if I could leave the car there and then they could start on it otherwise it could be a month before I could get booked in. I was really pleased that it could get started on immediately and that I would be able to get their winter service discount.
Cayman did an excellent job on resolving the water issues and completed the job a couple of days ahead of the 2 weeks predicted. I collected the car on 24th of Feb and could not wait to get some rain to see if it was indeed fixed. Not only did we get some rain within a week of collecting the car but snow as well. I am very pleased to say that the cabin has remained dry, no wet seats, no condensation on the inside of the windows and no mould on the various parts of the inside of the car. I am really pleased as is my wife who was getting fed up with all the wetness inside the car.

Superb service . Had been to numerous other local garages all who had quoted ridiculous amounts for repair . Spoke to Millie at cayman autos and arranged a trip to Redhill for diagnosis . All diagnosed , repaired AND serviced at a fraction of the cost of previous quotes from the other local garages ! Would highly recommend Cayman Autos . Lovely people. Cayman are THE experts when it comes to repairing convertible roofs. I brought my Volve c70 to them after another Volvo specialist had failed to fix my roof over a period of two weeks. Cayman must keep a fairly extensive stock of components on-site as they diagnosed, fixed and serviced my roof on the same day without having to order parts from Sweden. They even kept me topped up with drinks while I waited.

My Megane CC is the first convertible I have owned having purchased it lockdown instead of a holiday! It is not garaged and used regularly. The recent heavy rains finally overcame the roof seals and water was finding its way after periods of persistent rainfall.

I came across Cayman Autos when I was still looking for a convertible in 2020 and thought they would be a firm to remember and I am pleased I did. All the seals now rejuvenated, gas struts to the boot lid inspected and checked, interior dried out and quite unexpected, the exterior and interior were valeted and they have saved me a weekend job!

My son will now appreciate having driving practice without water dripping in.

The mechanics and staff are very helpful and friendly and clearly enjoy working with convertible cars whatever make or model you bring in.

My M3 developed a strange clicking noise from Tonneau cover and the roof light was flashing. I didn’t mess about, booked in with Cayman Autos straightaway. They diagnosed the fault and repaired it the same day. Staff were really polite. This is the second time I’ve used them and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Don’t waste time going to other places or the dealer.

I went to Cayman Autos due to a roof leak,they carried out a diagnostic check due to 3 paddling pools in my car,left the vehicle with them for the week, to carry out a full roof check,drying out of carpets,cleaning & reproofing of hood,on collection, car hood looks brand new. They went above & beyond what i expected, kept me updated with cost & duration of work to be carried out. 10/10

After my horrific experience at Fords, I finally took my car to Caymens. Paul and his coleagues offer a great freindly service and are very proffessional. The price was decent too! They fixed my convertible roof perfectly within 24 hours, considering it was a big job.
I highly recommend Caymens to all convertable owners. 100% satisfied.

I was extremely concerned about my 2017 Audi TT Roadster when on my return from holiday I found the footwells totally flooded. I contacted several local garages but nobody wanted to know. I was at the point of giving up hope, in fact people were advising me to 'get rid' of the car. Finally I came across Cayman when they were recommended by a local VAG specialist who like everybody else did not want to know 'water ingress'. I called Cayman then visited them and could tell immediately they were something different by the way I was welcomed and assured without doubt they could solve the problem. Having reached the point where I desperate I would have no choice but to pay the price they asked and feared the worst considering I was driving a 'mobile swimming pool' but at the same time I felt they were honest genuine people. When I received the quotation it was very far below what I was dreading considering they had to totally strip the interior of the car for starters. I left the car with them while I was away during December and they were happy to store it for me after completing the work in around 3 weeks until I collected it in early January. I have been driving well over 50 years and have many 'varied' experiences with dealers and garages but have never found this level of Customer Service. I also had the soft top mechanism serviced and the fabric cleaned and re-proofed, still well within the price I was expecting to pay and now it is dry and looks like new

In 2022 we noticed sounds of sloshing water in the back of our 2016 BMW convertible 4-series. According to Google it's due to a well-known design issue. The dealer wasn't aware of any issue and asked £195 for diagnostics. A local "German car specialist" wanted £760 per side to fix the problem.

Cayman Autos only do convertibles. They are genuine and friendly and knew immediately what we were talking about. The company website provides good directions and even tips on things to do in the area while they service the car. Oh and we were charged £168.
We tried many garages in the past and never been impressed but Cayman's is in a class of its own.

my roof on my merc SL stuck down I took the car to the brentford branch of merc who closed the roof and told me that I need to replace the the roof pump assy at a cost of £2600
Cayman found the real problem and charged me less than £400 Cayman saved me over £2000 !!

Dropped my car in for a hood service . Most people ignore their hood till it’s too late . I also asked for leak check as after 11 years. After a good clean dry out & reproof my car is back. I’d advise anyone with an older convertible to get there hood serviced / checked & these are the team to trust ..

Had a nasty leak in my VW Eos. Booked it in for the diagnostic check, ready in under two hours including
a roof service. Had a torrential downpour last night
and completely dry inside today. Excellent service, good price and friendly staff.

I cannot thank Cayman Auto Services enough, diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed my Audi A5 very quickly. The staff are all so kind and welcoming it just adds to the experience. I would defiantly recommend them.

0wning a convertible is in my opinion a great experience until the roof stops working properly....My first port of call was my local garage in Southampton but they were very honest they could tell me the fault codes, replace the parts but could not guarantee that the roof would then work? Enter Cayman a great service, they couldn't fit me in today but agreed i could drop the car off and pick it up later in the week. Dropped off at 9am, my wife and I went into redhill for tea and breakfast and at 11.30am when we were planning to leave for Southampton got a call "we have diagnosed the problem, we have the parts and if you are happy to proceed it will be completed by 1.30pm". My wife and i spent a lovely afternoon in Reigate and at 2pm "I was zooming home, roof down living the convertible dream". Cant thank them enough and to illustrate the importance of a specialist my garage had 3 fault codes and Cayman diagnosed the problem as faulty motors. All working perfectly now and only replaced the parts than needed doing. Top work guys and much appreciated Lots of Love Audi TT from southampton

The service from start to finish was excellent and so friendly. My car roof has been transformed. I can’t quite believe the results. Has taken years off my lovely 2009 Audi A3.
