What began as a promising transaction quickly devolved into a frustrating and disappointing experience.

I purchased a product that unfortunately did not meet my needs. Upon realising this, I contacted the company promptly via email to initiate a return under what I assumed was a standard 14-day cooling-off period, as protected under consumer legislation. After receiving no reply, I followed up again. The eventual response was curt, dismissive, and offered little to no guidance.

What’s more concerning—and frankly unacceptable—is their so-called "return policy," which demands a 25% restocking fee, even within the statutory return window. This is not only excessive, but arguably conflicts with consumer protection norms under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (2013), which entitle buyers to a full refund (excluding outbound shipping) within 14 days of receipt.

Fortunately, the item was not of significant value, so I chose not to pursue it further. However, I caution future buyers: this company appears more interested in protecting its margins than honouring basic consumer rights.

In my opinion, this is a vendor operating on the edge of regulatory compliance and far from the spirit of good faith or fair dealing. I will not be purchasing from them again, and I recommend others proceed with caution.

I have now made three purchases from CCTVTek and I was very impressed on how promptly I received the item's, in fact, with all purchases the goods were received within 24 hours.
You don't get service like this too often these days.

I regret to say that my experience with CCTVTek has been extremely disappointing. As a professional embarking on my first project for a new customer, their lack of reliability has not only caused delays but also impacted my credibility.

Despite receiving the wrong product, I immediately sent an email to report the issue. However, there was no response the following day, forcing me to call them directly. To my dismay, I was informed that their management team doesn’t come in until later in the day—a frustrating and unprofessional approach, especially for time-sensitive matters.

CCTVTek’s lack of responsiveness and inefficiency have left me scrambling to reschedule installation and salvage my customer relationship. For potential customers, I strongly advise looking elsewhere or thinking twice before using their services. Reliable and professional support is crucial, and unfortunately, CCTVTek falls far short in this regard.

If you're looking for dependable service, this may not be the right choice.

Found CCTVTek online and can’t fault them from start to finish. Great to deal with from sales and also technical issues when I installed my cameras. I would happily recommend them to any potential new customers looking for cameras.

5* service! Ordered a Hikvision ColorVu CCTV setup complete with 6 cameras, bases, DVR, hard drive and all the required power supply. All items were in stock and provided right away. Amazing customer service to help ensure everything was set up and working correctly also.

5* from me. Never had an issue ordered camera systems for 2 houses and 2 business premises' and 1 enforcer alarm kit. 10/10 for delivery times and was quick to help when i needed some advice on an installation. Thanks will defo order again from CCTV TEK!

I contacted support team for advice before ordering. All questions were answered quickly by email & phone. Order received within 2 working days with a tracked courier service, nicely packed including all instructions on how to setup NVR & CCTV. This was my second order within a few years and will be ordering again from CCTVTek.

Stay away. I'm cctv installer. I ordered 8mp system. Recorder was second hand. I was proper disappointed. Even when I was send picture she said. What make you thinking is second hand. And 9 months later they even cancel my trade account. I can't plan job becouse she can provide delivery date. Just stay a way.

Amazing customer service and after care. Highly recommended. 10/10

Very poor sales and service. I ordered on Sunday two cameras with next day delivery option. We have a deadline on Wednesday. Nobody contacted me on Monday. When I rang them they said it will be dispatched tonight (Tuesday) It looks they do not have stock. Technical questions are not answered. Chat does not work. Very bad experience. I do not recommend. On the top of that that the customer support shouted at me and hung up. We ordered it on Sunday with NEXT DAY DELIVERY service. So we expect this on Tuesday not Monday but you did not even bother to contact me by Tuesday.

Apart from the product being excellent, that staff are even more so. I have had CCTV with an an NVR for 3 years now covering my home but it was just a cheap plug n play and no where as technical or does things like the one I bought to replace. The Hikvision NVR is a Rubik’s cube in comparison to the one I replaced. I telephoned for help and not only were things explained but also a technical engineer telephoned me back using a video link (WhatsApp) so he could see what I was doing and took me through the process I needed. Excellent, Excellent far and beyond normal customer service that we never seem to get these days, This is what customer services is all about making one feel special and appreciated for doing business......if only more companies and retailers were the same.

Poor aftersales
Ordered a new nvr and 2 weeks later they have no knowledge of my order and refuse to help. The technical help line is non existent.
