What made our experience great was that Beth both knew the property and clearly also had built a relationship with the vendor, which meant that she she was able to provide good clear information as requested. Her approach, communication and professionalism have been so different to that to many other estate agents we have met, and, although at this point, we are not moving forward with this particular property, we would be more than happy to have Beth's help and assistance in the future. She has remained committed and professional throughout and, even though I have found a property elsewhere, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. Most agencies in Hereford expect search sites to do the work for them; Bethany definitely goes the extra mile.

Purchased property through Chancellor's Hereford. Submitted the guide price listed on their website, which was rejected instantly, on the basis seller would complete additional renovations. Submitted a higher bid, but plot twist: the seller did not complete the renovations, and left the property in an unsanitary state. I'm talking rotting meat being left in the sink levels of bad.

Called the Estate Agents asking for immediate assistance. There were missing keys, no instructions as to how to access utilities, and we needed to make contact with the selling party.

Chancellor's response was to effectively shrug and say "tough luck. Your problem, not ours."

I was left distressed and needed additional guidance and assistance from the agents involved, especially in light of the uplift paid. None was forthcoming.

Chancellors will act solely in their interest, and not yours. A house purchase is the most stressful transaction someone can go through, and if you are potentially purchasing through Chancellors, I would strongly recommend you think twice. They are unhelpful, require constant chasing, and when you complain, will tell you that it's entirely your problem to fix.

And that's on top of the sanity destroying following up you'll need to do around how the transaction is actually progressing.

Avoid, at all costs. Even if you find your dream property - just don't do it. Not to be trusted.

EDIT: I have already emailed Directors@. They fully absolved their team and believe everything to be my fault. They were as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Selling and buying through chancellors has been a really easy experience

ZERO STARS!! Hereford Chancellors just awful.
They don’t return your calls
They don’t return your emails.
They don’t send your viewing feedback.
Very poor customer communication experience.
We were left feeling that they were biased towards the buyers and not us the vendors.
We had very little communication from them.
They only communicate when they want to.
Caused almost complete communication breakdown between us and our buyers.
Our respective solicitors saved the situation by instigating direct contact between us and buyers via WhatsApp.
16 weeks to get to Exchange.
They almost derailed Exchange by interfering at a crucial point when asked by solicitors not to.
But Chancellors still want their Commission.
We have tried a formal complaint against Chancellors Hereford and have just had our feedback from them.
I now feel extremely personally upset by the response from their Directors.
Horrible customer experience.
Horrible company to deal with.
Do Not use Chancellors Estate Agents if you value your sanity.
