I had very good contact with the agency throughout the tenancy. Although the processes can be quite long, my overall experience was very positive. Any repairs that were needed were handled in a timely manner.

Outstanding communication, proactive, plenty of notice and thoroughly professional staff at every stage of the process. I live abroad and bought my property through Sunningdale Chancellors 12 years ago; they have been in charge of letting it ever since - never had any issues. My thanks to Katie Adams and the rest of the team for their work.

We’ve had an extremely disappointing and worst experience ever with chancellors. After conversations and explaining our time frame, Jennifer was saying they had a large portfolio of tenants who would love our property and was exactly what they were looking for, we then signed up with them to find tenants for our property, absolutely no meaningful progress had been made. In 2 months they had 3 viewings all of which were students! Not families as they had originally said. Weeks had gone by without any viewings, updates and little communications. Communications had been minimal unless we chased them ourselves, and we feel completely let down by their lack of effort and professionalism. When we complained to the regional director- Ben, he clearly sided with the letting manager Jennifer and basically said we lied and Jennifer had done everything she said. He said he investigated but we say no reports or evidence, this shows they clearly look after their own. Knowing we needed the house let quickly we strongly feel we were tricked into signing a contract with them saying whatever they knew we wanted to hear. They also misled and didn’t explain to us the 24 month contract we would be signing as well as it mentioning it was a sole agreement too. This was all new to us so we we were non the wiser- they used this to their advantage not explaining anything to us in the contract.

This has not only wasted valuable time but has also caused unnecessary stress and such high financial inconvenience.

They now expect us to pay a stupidly high fee as we breached the contract and another letting agent found us tenants within 4 weeks of given them the property to let. This letting agent was honest, transparent and have even said so many people have left chancellors for the same reasons we did, we even spoke to some of these. Shocked to hear the stories and how they think they can get away with it.

We are seeking legal advice as this has impacted us physically and mentally as well as financially. They still have the audacity to continue to email us and expect us to pay a ridiculous amount although they should be paying us for all they have put us through.

Based on our experience, we would not recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable or motivated letting agent.

Alex was well informed about all the property's he was also knowledgeable about the area and what was available and on offer to prospective buyers. He took time to listen and tried to find property's to match the brief. This was appreciated. He is also very likeable and his customer service skills are top notch. I would give Zero if possible. My partner was in the process of purchasing a property through the Sunningdale branch. He was given the incorrect information regarding service charges during the viewing. Then when waiting for responses to his solicitors enquiries which had already taken two weeks with still no answers, Briar who was dealing with the sale decided to go quiet when he emailed her wanting to get some updates. When he decided to withdraw from the sale due to lack of communication from Briar and various other factors, he was completely ignored. He asked for confirmation that the sale had been cancelled, but received nothing. I have tried to arrange viewings of properties in the past through Chancellors and very rarely do they respond. One viewing I had booked in was cancelled 30 minutes before the meeting. I was told that they would call to rearrange but that did not happen. Needless to say the property is still on the market. I have a property to sell and am currently looking for a property. Due to my experience with this agency, I will avoid them at all costs. Very unprofessional.

I found Chancellors, and especially Kallee, to be excellent. They were very good at making sure all parties were kept up to date and helped to ensure that completion happened within the timescales that we wanted. Wrap that up in a friendly approach and I don't think you could ask for more from an estate agent.
