I bought refundable tickets with insurance. First, the email said it will take 7 to 10 business days to get the refund, then I called in 8-5-2022 and I was told 3 to 5 business days to get my refund. Today 8-12-2022 they are telling me 4 weeks.

Please never ever use this airline ticket service. You get what you pay for. Cheap is an understatement. The customer service is horrible! God forbid an emergency comes up and you have to cancel your ticket. They'll charge you a secret $99 fee and only tell you when its time to redeem a new ticket. Worst mistake of my life. I'm down 100s of dollars but I assume they would do right by their customers. I'd rather just pay directly from the airline. In that case, at least they'll try to accomodate

These guys used to be great. Today I had the worst experience and I will not be using cheaptickets ever again to book anything. I had been trying all day to book a flight to see an elderly relative who has gotten sick and needs me to be there. The cheaptickets website has redirected me all day. I have had to verify that I am human about 20 times sometimes in circles several times in a row. The website froze at least twice today at the very point where I was to finalize the booking and would not let me book. Then when I would check back later the price was higher. That is a bit fishy. It also would constantly revert me to some default date instead of the dates that I entered for the trip and I would fix it over and over. Finally, I signed on to the site incognito today and booked what I thought was my flight, well as soon as I booked the itinerary showed me booking a round trip for the same date and it was their default date not the dates I selected for the 100th time today. Augh, never again. What is even more irritating is that I immediately contacted customer service via their chat and tried to have the charges halted. Granted, the rep did immediately cancel the trip and submit to reverse the charges. However, it is going to be 3-5 business days for the charges to reverse and that means scrambling for more emergency money to make the trip. I am extremely irritated with their website and, frankly, there should be at least a few minutes grace period on the charges before they submit them. I contacted them immediately after the booking. My credit card shows that all the charges are pending reversal, so they did submit them. I'll give them 2 stars just for at least being honest, but the website, come on guys, you can do better than that!! and taking 3-5 days to reimburse, that's pathetic. This is 2022, that can be processed faster.

You cannot reach anyone by phone, the app makes you want to kill the algorithm âŠ. It is just not worth the money saved. CHEAPTICKETS is a legal scam. I want everybody to be aware of that. I have a credit with them for $659.60, I was told that I canât use the credit myself on the website to make a reservation, they have to do it over the phone with me. I said ok. I had to call them while I was in DR and the call costed me US40. My new reservation supposed to be US$450.72, they charged me $659.60 which is my entire credit. I have called and sent emails so i can get my remaining credit of $208.88 but that has never happened. My best option right now is to contact a lawyer. No one deserves to experience such a nightmare!

Voor niks betaald voor check-in bagage via cheaptickets
We hebben een retour naar Malta geboekt, maar de betreffende luchtvaartmaatschappij was niet ingelicht over dat wij betaald hebben voor ingecheckte bagage. Op de terugweg wilden we zorgen dat dit wel goed doorgegeven was. Toen stuitte we op de al veelgenoemde slechte klantenservice. Facebook messenger was geen succes, dat leek wel een bot. Vervolgens gebeld, maar inmiddels zijn we 20 euro verder doordat we eerst 10 minuten in een loop van het bandje zitten om vervolgens een slecht verstaanbare medewerker te spreken. Het gaat bijna een betere deal zijn on maar direct bij airmalta nog eens voor check-in bagage te betalen. Schijnbaar is dit een veelvoorkomend probleem bij boeken via tussenpartijen. Dus tip: boek gewoon via de vliegtuigmaatschapij zelf. Je denkt bij cheap tickets goedkoper af te zijn, maar dat kan nog flink tegenvallen.
Dishonest business avoid at all cost
Do not use buy your tickets from Cheaptickets. I booked for a friday flight and keyed in my details as per usual and made payments. However, upon receiving the confirmation email i noticed that the flight was shown Saturday instead. Wrote an email to their CS only got a reply to use their chatbot, and they will use the airline's policy nonsense to prevent a refund despite issues from their side. Ticket cost $80, cancellation fees $125 excluding airline fees. You do the math and wonder why customers don't even bother to proceed with their nonsense.
Customer service/voucher Nightmare
Purchased tickets to Alaska before Covid. Was not allowed to go since Covid was going on and Alaska was a hot zone. AD military and was told no by commanders. No big deal, purchased insurance. Only the insurance wouldn't cover the cancellation. I was given flight credit however for myself and friend. Fast forward we were not allowed to use credits. Cheap Tickets told us to speak with Alaska airlines for the credits. AA understood the situation and refunded Cheap tickets the money from the tickets so they could issue another voucher. Cheap tickets has taken that money and say they haven't received anything and I have no vouchers..... DO NOT USE CHEAP TICEKETS.... Also the Cheap ticket customer service rep argued with me that Alaska was international.

Uit deze e-mail van maandag 28 juni 2021 blijkt dus duidelijk dat Cheaptickets aangeeft dat de airlines de vluchten hebben geannuleerd. De tickets waren geboekt voor een vlucht 2e helft juli 2021.
Inmiddels wacht ik dus bijna 1 jaar op teruggaaf van het bedrag maar die oplichters van Cheaptickets weigeren om het bedrag terug te storten. In januari, februari en maart 2022 is mij beloofd dat het bedrag eraan kwam maar nu heb ik via messenger opnieuw gevraagd naar de status en krijg ik opnieuw het antwoord dat de vluchten niet geannuleerd zijn door de vliegtuigmaatschappij. Graag ontvang ik dan zwart op wit bericht van Cheaptickets wie de vluchten dan welk heeft geannuleerd!!!!! Customer Service virtually not existing. Our flight was automatically changed to another flight by the airline, which made our travel plans a mess. Changing the flight was not possible: the airline said, we need to talk with Cheaptickets. Cheaptickets has a chat bot which did not resolve anything and contacting by email is a joke, since they first ask you to confirm that you really want the email to be processed by them and that it is going to take five(!) days.
So if anything goes wrong, don't count on this company, they will leave you alone.

Worst flight booking experience I have ever had. Needed to change flights. Was awarded flight credit and received an email saying I could redeem this credit on cheaptickets.com. Attempted to redeem credit and it showed that I had no credit to redeem. Chatted with an agent and was told I needed to deal with the credit through the airline, not cheaptickets.com. I will never use this service again and encourage everyone else to avoid it as well. It is a flat-out scam. They are relying on customers getting frustrating and giving up or forgetting about their credit. Complete dishonesty on the part of this business!
