Chemist Warehouse Ballarat East has the worst customer service
Chemist Warehouse Ballarat East is now my closest pharmacy since moving to Ballarat. I have shopped here many many times and am so unhappy with the service from the pharmacy counters. Most times you wait over 30 minutes for scripts. The staff are slow, forgetful and inefficient. They are terrible at communication. I have never had such bad customer service and professionalism in my life. Today my partner waited for 45 minutes to be told the script is out of date (by 1 month). He is fuming so it is the last straw for us after such bad service. I would like to say the floo staff are friendly and helpful but it is not enough to keep me as a customer.
Pricing Issues
I would like to day chemist wearhouse on line feedback is the worst site to do this on I was trying to ask why a certain product that you can buy at Woolies or Coles for $2.00 a pkt cheaper and they say a different mg to what's on the box it's less
Very poor service
No exchange on sealed vitamins with proof of purchase
Bought blackmores vitamin C Then got home and realised i needed the one with zinc. Went back next day with unopened bottle, seal completely intact hoping to exchange. Told that they never exchange sealed vitamins, even with receipt. Will go elsewhere in future.
Great Pharmacy Staff and Extensive Range of Products
I am surprised Chemist Warehouse have such poor reviews.
The pharmacy staff at Chemist Warehouse, Macgregor, are brilliant. They always remember my name, are never too busy to give advice, regularly review how my medications are going and remind me about things like flu vaccinations. Floor staff are helpful too.
Yes, sometimes you have to wait for prescriptions but that's to be expected in a busy store. You have the option of requesting prescriptions in advance, but I rarely do because I prefer to browse in the store while I wait.
Chemist Warehouse have a huge range of products and frequently offer significant discounts. In particular, I rarely purchase fragrances or protein bars elsewhere.
True, the stores can appear somewhat cluttered but again that's because of the extensive range of products.
I consider myself fortunate to live close to Chemist Warehouse, Macgregor. Before it was quite a hike to the nearest Chemist which is the last thing you want if you feel unwell.
30-45 min wait for a scriptâŠridiculous
Having to wait 30-45 mins for a script at Chemist Warehouse Greensborough Plaza is an absolute joke. You canât tell me that a multimillion dollar organisation canât put more staff on. Makes me want to go elsewhere now.
Oh what an absolute nightmare
Oh what an absolute nightmare! I placed an order online. I ordered over 13 items which were all available to buy and the system accepted my order and charged me for the products. A week later, there was 0 update from Chemist Warehouse AU. I called them and I was told that some of the products I ordered were unavailable and hence they couldnt dispatch my order. A few minutes later, I received an email with 2 options - 1 option was to cancel the entire order and 2nd option was to refund items that were out of stock and purchase in stock items. I chose option 2. Only 5 items were in stock. I was refunded for the other items. A few days later, I received a package supposed to have 5 items they charged me for. However, the package only contained 3 items. When I called, I was told the package has 5 items not 3. Very weird.
After deducting the payment, please do not send me the express delivery
This company lacks integrity. My order is international, and after payment, they don't ship it to me. When sending emails, the robot always replies with a message (we have seen your problem), but there is no solution. I can't find a refund option on the website page, please refund my money to me
Script submitted when?
Script for 3 items submitted electronically at 8-30am on a Sunday morning.
Additional script submitted at 1-45pm for 1 item.
Told of 15 to 20 minutes wait. Returning at 2-05pm and nothing.
âWhen did you put the script in?â
When advised of times for both scripts, found that the electronic ones not even done!
Another 15 minutes later, I finally get both. Went to check-out with 6 items.
âDo you want a bag for these?â
Of course I do, and a smile might be incredible achievable!
Now to find a chemist that is both friendly and efficient.
Any suggestions?
Just donât expect service
Just donât expect service, you walk around the whole dirty/poorly-presented, cluttered shop looking for help, when you finally find someone to ask you get snapped at & they canât even find prices? honestly all the staff are miserable & moody, even the chemist snapped at me that a prescription would take 1/2 hour. Took 10 minutes to get my prescription & vitamins from the chemist a quick walk away. Wonât go there again.
Poor service by ChemistWhse Parramatta Westfield.
Called to ask if ChemistWhse Parramatta Westfield if they have stock of the medicinal product on my daughterâs script. They said no and could not order from the medicinal product unless they sight the script even though I have purchased the same product from the store previously. I then called Carlingford Chemist Warehouse and they ordered the medicinal product straight away with the product available next day and asked me to confirm I have the script which I subsequently confirmed. Hence, I want to share my terrible experience with the Parramatta Westfield Chemist Warehouse store as they really need to improve their customer centric focus and put their patients first by doing the right thing and learn how to demonstrate patient care as demonstrated by the Carlingford Chemist Warehouse store.
ROSE NEEDS TO BE FIRED
ROSE NEEDS TO BE FIRED !
I had an appalling Click & Collect experience at Chemist Warehouse Maroubra on 17 Jan 2026 around 3:58 pm.
I arrived to collect my order (Order No. **********) after receiving both the SMS and email confirmation. The staff member at the counter (name tag appeared to read Rose) did not acknowledge me when I greeted her, did not look up from her phone, and made no effort to stand or engage professionally.
She asked for my order number, then abruptly stated she âdoesnât take order numbersâ while I was reading it out. I then showed the email confirmation, which she dismissed, asked for the barcode, then said she doesnât use that either. I even offered for her to scan the barcode to avoid confusion, at which point she snapped and demanded my name instead. The back-and-forth was unnecessary, confusing, and entirely avoidable.
When she finally located my order, she didnât stand to retrieve it and handled the interaction in a careless, disengaged manner. I spent $113.76 on four La Roche-Posay products and was treated as if I was an inconvenience rather than a customer.
This experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and has genuinely put me off shopping at this location again. Click & Collect should be simple â instead it was frustrating and unpleasant due to staff attitude and lack of basic customer service.
Chemist Warehouse Forest Glen
Chemist Warehouse Forest Glen. Faulty pharmaceutical product and confirmed by pharmacist. However, was told I have to contact manufacturer myself to get a refund. Could not get hold of manufacturer and all day went between manufacturer and chemist warehouse until I realised Australian Consumer Law steps in and chemist warehouse have to refund me and they chase refund their end. Finally a refund from them but after a wasted day of back and forth no apology and no call back even though I requested twice on their website⊠great experience since I spend a lot of money there every single monthâŠ
Chemist warehouse morayfield
Chemist warehouse morayfield. Couldn't get a refund on a defective product the next day after purchase. Staff manager was unhelpful and dismissive. Omson wanted me to send 'Tens' product to service department in Melbourne at my cost. What a joke! Absolutely never returning!
Totally 100% worst staff at the ChemistâŠ
Totally 100% worst staff at the Chemist Warehouse on the corner of Swanston/Bourke St Melbourne City noo customer care service at All and the Female Chemist who is in charge has a Cold i donât care Attitude maybe she would be suited stacking shelves. As a regular Chemist Warehouse shopper for years this store is by Far the Worst for lack of Customer Care.
Serious questions about pricing transparency
Chemist Warehouse Parramatta Westfield (Level 1) is chaotic, overcrowded, and operates with a complete disregard for basic professional standards. The pharmacy service in particular is hostile, dismissive, and unacceptable.
I asked a simple and reasonable question about pricing inconsistencies and was treated as an inconvenience rather than a customer. Within one month, the price of the same medical item increased from $0 to $110, with no explanation provided. This is not a minor issue, it is inadmissible behaviour for a pharmacy supplying essential medical items.
I was also quoted $171 for a basic medical supply that sells for $17.99 at another pharmacy. A ten-fold price difference without transparency is indefensible and raises serious concerns about pricing practices, ethics, and consumer treatment.
Individuals who depend on regular medical supplies should consider providers that demonstrate transparency, accountability, and basic respect for patients.
Rude and Unhelpful re Delivery
Last night I ordered magnesium tablets online on the Chemist Warehouse site. I had run out unexpectedly and I need these daily to prevent cramps. I bought 2 large bottles of Nature's Own brand Magnesium Chelate 500mg and I paid a bit more than $23 extra to have them delivered before 1pm today. On the site it said that the package would be left somewhere safe. I didn't sleep until this morning and woke up at about 9:45am or so. I saw a phone message to say my package had been returned to Chemist Warehouse because I was not here when it was to be dropped off. Re the delivery driver - a taxi driver - I heard no knock on the door, but there was the phone message only. I called him and he was not rude, but basically said it wasn't his problem and that they always required someone to be home when packages were delivered. He said the package would be taken back to Chemist warehouse. I then phoned Chemist Warehouse in Maryborough Qld and spoke to a female who was not rude. She said that it was up to the delivery company and even though I pointed out that the information on the website said it would be left in a safe place, she said it wasn't theior problem - nicely, though. She then said the package was not there yet so I could try to phone the delivery driver and get it re-delivered. I asked her was that on her authority and she said it was. I called the driver again and he said he had dropped the package at Chemist Warehouse at 10.05am, after he referred to his paperwork. I called Chemist Warehouse in Maryborough Q again and a make answered and said I would be dealing with him and that he was the manager re the deliveries. He later said his name was Feky - his spelling - and said it was his surname after I asked. He began extremely rudely. My original phone call to them had been answered by a store worker, who then passed my call onto the woman I spoke to. When the male answered I asked to be put through to the person who I spoke to before and his response was, without explanation, "No, you will be dealing with me". Only after I asked did he say he was the manager or whatever. His attitude in tone was rude from the beginning, even if his words at first were civil. After exchanges, he said it was my fault this had happened because I didn't open the door (as I said, I never heard anyone knock or phone and was asleep, and the website had said the package would be dropped off). I then asked what I was to do about getting the package. He was now referring to it as medication and saying the delivery people shouldn't drop off medication without a signature. I told him it was magnesium and he said, "That's medication". It's an over-the-counter supplement. I explained that I am on two walking sticks, and of course I live out of town, and that is why I have deliveries. He said to get in touch with Customer Service, and I asked if they were open today. His exact words were, "You'll figure it out". I told him his attitude was extremely rude and I asked for his name. He also mentioned he was a pharmacist. I asked him to spell his name "Feky" and if it was his first or last name. He said it was his last name. He was about to hang up and I asked for the number of Customer Service. In his same sarcastic tone he said, "I'll get you the number. Not a big deal." He gave me the number and I thanked him and hung up on him because that's what his rudeness deserved. I phoned that number and got a message to say I had to call back during office hours, which he would have known, but couldn't be bothered telling me because he has an attitude. Maybe it's a cultural sexist attitude, or maybe he is just a generally offensive and entitled person. Who knows? So I'm now stuck, with no options. I can't get the package I paid for and paid an extrea $23+ dollars to have delivered on the understanding that it would be dropped off somewhere safe. The person who should have at least offered me other options or an apology was intolerably rude. "You'll figure it out"??! What an insufferable pig. I need those tablets but nowe I have to wait for one more day to even talk to Chemist Warehouse, and I know they will just tell me to pick them up, but I can't. I will never buy another thing from them unless I have no option - I live in a regional area and don't have many choices so it's possible to have them the only option during certain hours. Over the years I have bought a lot from them online. I stopped getting scripts there as the waiting times were way too long. I also gave up on click and collect - which I could do at the time - because they gave the person collecting an extremely hard time and were very rude, but that was a couple of years ago. Don't shop there, don't support them, boycott them. They are so rude. I still have to deal with Customer Service tomorrow, and I am expecting more of the same, frankly. We'll see.
RUDE!
Bad timing I guess.
Staff had just refunded something expensive looking, and treated me unkindly when that customer left, and I moved before the "NEXT!"
Was 42c, we were all unhappy.
Did it feel good to vent slightly at me?
Chemist Warehouse Woodville Gardens, I WONT BE BACK.
Be aware of costs at Hastings DiscountâŠ
Be aware that while Hastings Discount Drug Store proclaim cheap prices this is NOT true. So shop around! Prescriptions are EXPENSIVE. I filled the same prescription at three places.
HDDS = $15.50
Regular chemist = $13
Discount Pharmacy Frankston = $9.40!
Huge difference. HDDS is by far the most expensive. We also tried on other prescriptions and all were way more expensive at HDSS.
PATHETIC - My advice is donât bother!!
My advice is donât bother!!! This place is a complete waste of time! I purchased x 2 perfumes online during the Boxing Day sales only to have my order cancelled less than 12 hours later for no reason. I get on the website and try to reorder the same products and they are definitely in stock (or at least the website says they are). Clearly Chemist Warehouse is selectively choosing who should be allowed to purchase their products (Iâm sorry if I have a foreign surname and hence that makes me unworthy to purchase from you) or they are engaging in Misleading and Deceptive conduct as outlined in Section 18 of the Consumer Law by advertising products they donât have in stock! Disgusted as to the seemingly racist behavior and I will NOT BE BACK and will be telling everyone I know about this experience and the fact that the last 3 orders have also been cancelled for no stipulated reason. Great job Chemist Warehouse!
Would give 0 stars if I could
Would give 0 stars if I could. Received a fragrance first Christmas I don't like and can't take it back. What an absolute joke. Item is in brand bew packaging and factory sealed.
