Great quality, friendly site

I was simply asking how to dye a swimsuit that faded from using in a Vegas pool. And instead they replaced it!

Orders x 2 not dispatched. Only way to communicate is via online. All they say is they have higher than expected order level and will dispatch in the future???!!/ No time guidelines for possible dispatch. Refuse to cancel my orders/refund my money. Say I need to wait for order to dispatch, then return for a refund! Appalling. Do not order from this company.

Sept 2023 - after 5 months!?! There is a reply below?!?! Which says they have reached out to me privately- they have not. With regards to original post above it was fortunately paid via PayPal and I had to resort to claiming via PayPal.

Had a few little issues but the customer service more than made up for it they have been fantastic with every issue I have had. Wrong dress arrived and they sent a replacement as long as they have it in stock. Had issue before with a defect on dress and they provided a gift card with refund amount since they could not replace!

They couldn’t cancel an order that I didn’t authorize. They told me that once it’s place they can’t do anything. The order was place within a hour of my finding out about the order.

I ordered some items from this website and received tracking. The order was never delivered. I have been going back and forth with them for a month now with absolutely no resolution. They keep saying they will escalate my request and I never hear back from anyone. They have also blocked my email address from emailing them, so my only option for contacting them is through the live chat. I asked for a replacement of items and was told it would be sent out, and never heard anything back. A few days later I asked yet again for an update, and they informed me that the items I ordered were no longer available. When I stated that this was unacceptable, they offered a gift card for their site (because I should trust them to get my items to me this time - right). I told them I wanted a refund and they refused and will only offer a giftcard. So I reluctantly accepted that, and have been waiting days for that to be issued. Be warned, DO NOT TRY TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Terrible customer service, and when you express your issues, they will block you from contacting them.

There was a coat listed on their webpage for $87.60, but when I placed it in the shopping cart the price changed to $109.50. I reached out in a chat to one their customer service reps about the mistake and was told to place the order anyway and I’d be refunded the difference. I went ahead and placed the order and reached out by email for my price adjustment, as well as sending photos of my chat log with their customer service rep, but I kept getting the run around from them. I’d been communicating by email with someone named “Kristine” about my issue, but she basically just kept copying and pasting the same message back to me every time saying said she’d forwarded my request to “another team” and was awaiting a response. My final email to customer service was returned with a message stating that my email address was rejected by the recipient, in other words, they blocked my email address. I am returning the item, but will still be out the return shipping fees. Beware of misleading prices on their website, bad customer service and dishonest service reps.

HORRIBLE NOTHING LIKE i HAD ORDERED didn t recogonise the clothes which are like sacks

Do not order from this company. They sent me a defective garment and then claimed final sale. No where on my order does it say final sale. They then refused me a refund. I will never order from this company again. Customer service was horrible and passive aggressive.

I've had several instances of packages not arriving from this company or taking forever. WARNING: they do not refund for lost packages. So, even if you order a dress for an event like a wedding/gala and the package never shows up, the best you'll get is a credit. Then if you raise it with customer service, you get completely shut out. They offer zero customer service. The quality of the clothing is a mixed bag, some of it is lovely and some is mediocre. Some of my favourite dresses are from here, but it's not worth the risk of the missing/severely delayed packages and knowing I won't get a refund if something goes wrong.

Please beware that if an order gets lost that you will not get a refund. I found this out after I never received an order. They offered a gift card but with no product received this was not the solution I was looking for (or anyone else for that matter). I understand with smaller companies that they may not have the insurance to cover list items, but with city chic in other stores like Nordstrom they should be able to resolve this. If I do buy from city chic again I will not be buying from their website. I’ll go through a different vendor with better customer service and appropriate workflows.

I am attempting to return $460 worth of merchandise that does not fit, and have no way of tracking the process. I've been locked out of my customer account and get no replies from customer support when I ask about this issue. The only place they reply to me is on PayPal because I tried to get my money back via there. This really is unprofessional when compared to other online retailers and the "easy returns" they advertise on their website proudly are anything but easy. This has been the worst online shopping experience I have ever had.

Placed an order for dresses 20 days before they were needed as their shipping page indicated they use FEDEX and would take 7-10 business days for delivery. My order is now reflecting that it will take 4 weeks to get to me, meaning I will no longer have use for the dresses as my event would have already passed. When I contacted customer service, I was told that shipping to Hawaii takes much longer - even though that is indicated nowhere on their website. I have also placed numerous orders with them in the past and received them within a week. The kicker is that I'll need to return all items from my order as I'll no longer have use for them and I'm still subject to the return shipping fee for an error that isn't even my own. All I was offered was their apologies. I will not be ordering from City Chic again. Really disappointing.

Buyer beware. Shipping takes forever. Returns are a mess - their warehouse is incompetent or it doesn't exist.
I ordered a large order, only half of it arrived - packing slip was only for half the items. Contacted customer service, they asked for a pic of the packing slip, apologized and said they'd ship the rest of the items. Useless to me as I had ordered for a wedding, leaving 6 weeks for delivery. They then sent a second shipping invoice with the remaining items, but then the shipping notification only showed 3 of the 6 items. At this point, I just want my money back - City Chic customer service said that 'since we can't figure out why the initial items weren't shipped to you, we can only offer you a gift card as they are now out of stock'. why the f would i want a gift card for items i never received and have a paper trail of that. Their customer service number doesn't work so you have to argue over email. I'm a small business and would never have this kind of audacity. Don't trust them.

I love city chic's selection and was delighted when I discovered them. However, if something goes wrong with your order, don't expect them to make it right. My order never arrived (I have to pay for shipping because I'm in Canada) and the customer service was appalling. It took them almost a full month to deal with. First they advise they'll arrange for a replacement package (great!), then they advise they're out of stock, then they advise they won't provide a refund and will only provide gift cards. I feel completely ripped off and it seems like they are making their poor logistics systems customers' problems and I'm out of pocket more than $350 (Canadian).

While I like their product, there is no way I will endorse them.

I received a faulty item, my dress had holes in it, reached out to customer service and attached below was was their response. Basically under their "terms and conditions" they are not liable for ANYTHING. Lost, damaged, etc. Don't buy from them!

Horrible horrible customer service. They do not care about retaining customers-only stealing your money. I have ordered from them in the past-a coupon years ago and had very good experiences. Liked the clothes, shipping was fast. Returns fairly easy.

Not the case anymore. I ordered $200 worth of items-some items same style but different sizes because I didn’t know which size wld fit and because they charge you a fee to ship and return-might as well order all at once and pay one charge.

Well they said they shipped my items out 2 days or so after I ordered. Great! Except that’s as far as it got. It shipped from Texas to Illinois and then the tracking never changed. It’s sitting in some dhl facility-never got delivered to me. I have contacted customer service multiple times over phone and email and they say they will look into and then don’t do anything.

Finally someone started emailing me about it only said they would give me a credit. I said that wasn’t acceptable because if I had received the items I would have the opportunity to return anything I didn’t want and get money back, not credit. And since I didn’t receive the items ever I would not be able to return them. You didn’t send me what I paid for-you should give me my money back. I have no desire to shop with you again.

They tried telling me that their terms and conditions say I’m responsible for anything lost or damaged once I receive the items and that’s why they were only offering me a credit as a “courtesy “. I said well-since I never actually received the items those terms wouldn’t apply. Then They tried to tell me that they looked at the tracking and saw it was delivered so the terms and conditions would apply.

I sent them a photo of the tracking showing it was never delivered and was sitting ina warehouse somewhere at which point they said-oops your right-but terms and conditions still apply. A bunch of crap!

Anyway-unless you just want to give your money away and receive nothing in return-I wouldn’t spend a dime with them. It’s sad because when I was able to receive items from them-they were great. But never again! Not worth it!!!
