My experience has been great! Customer service was very professional, very quick and efficient and the comments given were really helpful and pointed out issues I hadn't thought of. The final product is exactly what I had imagined, great quality and finish, perfect fit, I couldn't be happier!

Great team, great product
Three elements deserve excellent feedback:
1. Initial conversation - Bruce and the team were enthusiastic, helpful and professional in early conversation, ensuring we felt comfortable ordering through Clifton
2. Ordering process - The Studio team were both flexible and responsive through the order. We amended our order at one stage and this was handled transparently, honestly and effectively
3. End product - The jerseys were ordered for our clubs 50th anniversary celebrations. The quality of the product is excellent and more than met our expectations

I am so glad I found these guys and ordered couple of rashguards (customisedfor my friend and I). Jimmy and team were super lovely and helped me with my 100 questions, as well as pointed out that our logo needs to have better resolution(this wouldn't cross my mind to check). The rashies are good quality and comfortable, the print and colours look really good.

We have ordered another one (male size) and will definitely be contacting Clifton again!

Cliftons are the only supplier I could find who can produce class rugby shirts in a heavy weight loop back jersey 100% cotton fabric. They are really superb shirts and a careful design and ordering process ensures you end up with exactly what you require. A quality product from a team who understand how to communicate with their customers. Highly recommended.

Let me start with the good, because there is a lot of it and it needs to be praised. The design process (in my case, rugby shirts for my sports team) was very easy and user friendly, there were lots of options and I was able to design them exactly as I wanted before even submitting the design for order without having to make special requests to the staff directly. The quality of the shirts is absolutely premium, and the price was even slightly better than competitors (10-25 shirts for £47 each, whereas other brands would need at least 20 orders for the same price). The acceptance of the order was easy and quick, and the customer service replies very quickly.

Now, the minor issue. I received confirmation of order acceptance and beginning of production on the 15th of February 2022, and having selected the "Standard" service I expected delivery on or about the 15th of March with the quoted lead time of 30 days. Having received no shipping notification on the 15th of March, I enquired and discovered that the Standard service did not include a specified "deliver-by" date, and I really wished that this would have been made more clear, as I only found this out after I had waited a further 6 days (21st of March 2022) before emailing again to ask about the progress and being told the following.

Having emailed again a few times, I was finally told that the delay was due to DHL being slowed down by a Covid-19 outbreak in the operational area. Of course, this is beyond Clifton's control and I do not blame them at all for the delay. However, it would have been nice to have been notified of the delay occuring without having to email back and forth a few times asking about progress.

In conclusion, Clifton's service and products are both of optimal quality, and the only issues are, as I said, not making it clear enough that the standard service doesn't have a guaranteed deliver-by date and not being notified of courier delays. Aside from these two, I would recommend Clifton above competitors, and I can find no issue with the products I received.

I would rather go to the dentist and have 4 teeth pulled than work with Clifton again.

I ordered a custom designed bike jersey. First, they asked for my money before they would even answer any simple questions.
Red flag #1

Design elements were set up wrong On jersey, even AFTER I had sent them a visual jog file of my desired design. And this inaccuracy counted towards my number if revisions. Red Flag #2

Informed me that all jersey zippers required full length front zippers, after their design template showed a 1/2 length zipper. Red flag #3.

I get charged a $40 alteration fee for an alteration that was NOT altered correctly in the jersey I received. Red flag #4

Jersey arrives. Quality of materials is fine, but logo colors were all too dark. I dont know why they Clifton asks for PMS colors when the end color result of their delivery product is not accurate PMS color. Red flag #5.

Moral of the story: DON’T waste your time with this company ordering any customized merchandise.

Really helpful customer service helped me with any issues that we came across. The shirts came and they were of great quality. No mistakes whatsoever, everyone was really pleased with them.

We loved the sweaters very much and got a lot of compliments! We are not using them for rugby, but they are for casual wearing during activities with our study association. The fabric feels great and are anything but itchy. The sizes are also good as they fit everyone perfectly from men to women sizes S to L. All in all, the sweaters are great.

I contacted Clifton Clothing as I wanted to copy a very old and worn rugby shirt as a Christmas present.
The company was excellent and we exchanged several emails to ensure the finished result was perfect.
It was ! Great customer service and a great product.

Update 3: please note the personal attack on me in 'Marcus'' reply here. Gaslighlighting. What kind of company attacks it's customers? Red flag. Avoid at all costs.

UPDATE: Advised by 'Jimmy' we would only be receiving the the refund (of charitable donations) 'in the January pay run'. I asked to be paid BACS immediately (which is how we paid them) but they refused, repeatedly. We are now 5 days after the 28th of January and still we have had NO WORD AT ALL about our refund. Again, they know this money is for charity (SAMH). We have contacted them three times so far and have yet to receive a reply. We are now poised to contact law enforcement because Clifton are now withholding charitable donations.

We also appear to have been BLOCKED on their social media accounts. This is VERY concerning for us as a charitable organisation.

We set up a charitable organisation where we aimed to cycle to every away game of our team in order to raise money for SAMH. Due to lockdown we were no longer able to cycle. In order to keep raising money we would have some caps produced in the club colours and sell them for christmas. All profits from the caps were to be donated to SAMH.

I placed an enquiry with Clifton on their website and within about 15 mins Bruce (director) was on the phone to me. Bruce assured me that we would have the caps delivered before christmas if we placed the order and paid them that day. Alarm bells should have been ringing. He pushed us to place the order and pay them by lying to us (it should be noted that I have now contacted Bruce around 7 times via email, asking him to call and he has not once responded).

I got an email on Dec 12, 2020 asking for a delivery address. I replied asking for an arrival date. Then - silence. No reply. I sent another email asking for a reply on the 18 Dec. They eventually replied to this email blaming christmas for their silence with a picture of an attempt at the cycling cap. The colours were way, way off. Bear in mind I was told a dispatch date of Dec 15 (now 18/12) and the caps were an absolute embarrassment (see my display picture). I was put under pressure to accept once again because Clifton knew I needed them before christmas because our supporters had purchased them as gifts. Red flag once again.

They did say they would 'rather fix' the issue, but advised that the caps would not appear until January. I had promised people these as gifts for their friends and family. I pushed back and said that I was not happy, they should rectify their mistake by remaking our order immediately (their fault in the first place). The printing error was so far from the design that it is insulting that they hoped we would accept their terrible attempt. Their communication was vague and attempted to derail my narrative.

After consulting with friends, and other business owners, we decided that if "Jimmy" at Clifton was going to make this right we had better get some assurances. On the 20th of December we sent him an email asking for some guarantees of delivery time, an apology, and a discount due to expectations not being met.

They then, once again (on the run up to closing down for christmas) did not reply for two working days. Once again, I had to email them to ask for a reply.

To our list of assurances they simply replied:

"Just writing to let you know that our production facility is already remaking these caps..
We are already having our full capacity to handle the reprint of your order and this will be sent asap."

No answer on any of the questions asked. We thanked them for the update then resent the 5 points listed clearly once again.

Their reply:

"Do you want the originals sent or would you like these to be produced again? These will have a different turnaround time."

Once again, completely ignoring our communication. This is now 7 days after they promised dispatch. You would think they would be interested in solving the problem? No.

We were not expecting compensation but felt we needed some bargaining tool due to their unprofessional nature. We asked for dates of delivery, and a note to send to our customers.Simple you'd think? No.

Instead they replied: "in the interested of seasonal goodwill we will instead cancel the order and issue a refund."

I advised that I did not want a refund and needed the caps made, but they repeatedly refused and claimed Ts and Cs violation(without saying which terms). They would not even give a telephone number. Bruce never ever replied. Funny that.

Eventually, I sent my bank details for the refund on 10 Jan. They have now advised they will only refund on the 'next payment run' at end of month. I made clear they were withholding charitable donations and they still refused to issue an immediate refund for a job they refused to complete.

Awesome fully custom Hawaiian print shirts. Our team loves these shirts and we've placed several orders! Thank you.

Excellent and personal communication with a very fast reply rate. Good quality clothing for a very affordable price. Would definitely recommend Clifton Clothing to others, especially for large amounts of clothing.

They have a wonderful staff. My club has been ordering shirts from Clifton for 20+ years and they are the best. I highly recommend using their services.

I was a little hesitant to order expensive rugby jerseys for my work team from a supplier "across the pond", but could not have been more pleased with the outcome. The shirts turned out great.
