We have used several solicitors and Counsel over the last three decades on both private and commercial work. What we needed was a rapid, authoritative and persuasive response to put before the CPS just days before a hearing took place. Although we knew that we were innocent, we also knew that our argument to the CPS to set aside the hearing was both late and difficult, due to a lack of evidence available to underpin it. Mr Lahka KC wasted no time and directed his attention to the key elements underpinning the CPS case in law. It was quickly self-evident that we had a KC that knew the law inside-out and forwarded a very well-structured letter to terminate the proceedings to the CPS. It was successful, and we did not have to attend a one / two day hearing, saving us a considerable amount in legal fees. We have no hesitation in recommending CLK Legal.

The entire legal team was very professional throughout my process. Especially Anthony, who guided me directly throughout the process and gave me the best advice that helped restore my rights and achieve a beneficial outcome.

Dishonest barrister. Said I had not paid him to advise me but it was in the contract he would provide advice. Avoid.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Dessy for all her hard work with regards to my sons sentence. Honestly I cannot thank Dessy enough. Kind, sincere, knowledgable, hard working, honest and professional . Dessy dealt with a sentencing case for my son and because of her hard work preparing everything my son got amazing results. I would highly recommend using Dessy for all your legal needs she is simply amazing. Kept in contact with me at all times and was so friendly and approachable. Dessy met all deadlines and I could trust her completely with everything . I would also like to mention Johnny Nung and say a BIG thank you to him as well for dealing with all the admin and being so sincere and kind also. This team at CLK legal are amazing . John gave about 30 minutes of his time free of charge to talk about an issue regarding a former clerk. Very kind and professional. I had a good 1 hour 45 minute consultation with Dessy regarding an issue also. Both seemed professional and pleasant. Very helpful.

Dealings with admin, Johnny Vu, were not very positive. The price structuring didn't make much logical sense and was VERY EXPENSIVE for, arguably, a straightforward engagement letter. Due to pricing would not be able recommend. Which is a shame.

Before I came across CLK I was ready to throw the towel in. My first contact was David Foreman who is a wonderful guy who gave me the confidence to continue. I then had Abbas Lakha KC as my Barrister...he is incredible! He along with his team, they were dedicated, down to earth, patient and, they fought for justice which we received. This small review does not even cover a quarter of what I wish to say about the brilliance, expertise and dedication of CLK.

David Forenan - CLK Legal - senior clerk. Appointed barrister Nigel Edwards to oversee prof neg family case.. who bailed 3 months later due to it being many years since he qualified in family law. He then appointed John king & Dessy Narscimento who it transpired were not qualified to determine prof neg cases. Wasting precious time/ money. Letting me know he’d submit my file bundle to me 9/10/23… something he never did. Now I’ve requested they fwd them to another solicitor, David has said their offer was time limited and a GOGW. That I will now need to cover costs to get these transported. Hes’s rude/obnoxious attitude is a clue as to his lack of professionalism. He makes threats if you don’t adhere to his suggestions. He makes commission on barrister he secures, as confirmed within Nigel Edwards email to me & David Foreman’s response to that email!! AVOID !!!

Such an amazing team, and I cannot thank John, Dave and Dessy enough. Every situation leading up to my partners case was dealt with promptly with guidance and they lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Pushy sales tactics. Lack of basic legal knowledge. Ambiguous contract resulting in them constantly asking for additional payment upfront. Promise you the earth and fail at first hurdle.

We contacted CLK Legal for assistance with the UK immigration processes for my wife (USA) and couldn't be happier with the service we have received. Fees agreed upfront, clear directions with timelines and concise communications, we couldn't recommend them enough.

I can thoroughly recommend CLK LEGAL. From Dave Foreman the Barrister's Clerk to John King, my Barrister, they were just brilliant and managed to get a Defence together in under 14 hours and filed it in the Court of Appeal at 9 am the next morning. Had it not been for these guys, I would be in a prison cell now. John King presented an amazing Defence which kept me out of prison. I don't know how they did it in such a short space of time, but they did and for that I will be eternally grateful. Had it not been for them, all of my animals would have been taken and euthanized. So a big THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART to CLK LEGAL.

I was recommended to this firm when searching for a barrister.
However as the initial conversation continued with David Foreman, I recognised it to be a 'hard sell' which one would not expect from the legal profession.
He scared me off, especially when he was more than 'miffed' this morning when I said I could not make a definitive decision at this time. Again the 'hard sell' tactic was used

A classic example of a firm initially hungry, promising the earth, only to fall well short when they think they have you hooked. Some great expertise, badly let down by "barrow boy" clerking and supreme arrogance at the top. If you're desperate, give them a shot, otherwise consider another set. Never let them have a hold on you.
